And I'll be saying hello to the Xbox 360 and the Wii. I'd rather game on a PC, so I'm staggering my new console purchases by a generation from now on to save some cash.
Actually, I never really considered that. I guess what annoys me is the lack of gaming history the average gamer has. That and the increasing focus on narrative over gameplay.

It's not that good. Really it isn't. Games on the PC from the 90's were playing with adult themes and mature storylines long before this game. Many of them are better told than TLoU too.

I love to see some Kane and Lynch 2 in any list that isn't a Worst Of. Poor game is so completely, heartbreakingly misunderstood.

Finding a completely original story is not the issue here.
The Mass Effect games are a grab bag of not just themes but entire plots stolen from other sources. Rachnii = Buggers. Right down to it being the last Queen and admitting a misunderstanding that provoked the war.
The overarching plot was ripped straight from Descent: Freespace.

It seems to depend on the player. I would expect it to be easier since I've put in 60 some hours with the original. I think I understand the mechanics now.
Other previews are still talking about how hard it is. My guess is these writers never bothered to complete the original, so of course it seems just as hard.
I hope when they said it was going to be more accessible it was more a design approach and not a pussification of the difficulty.
