Jesus christ it's not like the article revealed which main character gets killed by the other two at the end. It's just some gameplay details. Settle down nah.

ICO, yes.

I don't get how running around giant, sparse environments in SotC is immersive. Good game, sure. Immersive, not really. It felt like a really protracted "Get from Point A to Point B to Progress".

If anyone is interested, DS3 takes many musical cues from the Alien OST song titled The Droid.

There are also a bunch of other cues in there borrowed from films. It's one of the reasons I love it so much.

Where the hell are the morality police on this one?

The article specifically points out that this is not an open world game.

Still, 2014 looks like it will be an awesome year for gamers.

Isn't that the point of the entire project. It is essentially the next installment of the Mega Man series with different names for the title and characters.

Oh hell yes! A PC port? Beautiful. Maybe we can convince Capcom to put all the Megaman games on GOG too. That would be better than solving world hunger for me. I'll sacrifice $120 of my semesters food allowance for you, Keiji.

I don't even like TLoU and this list is still awful.

Wow! Where did all that money go for MW3? It was inferior in every way to MW2.

I don't think this is entirely necessary. What needs to be established is an agreed upon reviewer criteria for each journalist or website. A publisher press release will only take a review so far. Most reviews and previews I see today give only the most cursory mention of the actual gameplay mechanics. They tend to mention it in a paragraph, then ending that paragraph with "it was fun or it wasn't". The rest is usually some discourse on the games narrative or storyline....

I think this game has seriously the most perfect pulp look going for it. It's as if Bungie decided to make a game based on the covers of thousands of sci-fi paperbacks.

Here here. Steam has become rather bloated with its Facebook obsession. I like Origin a lot, better than the rest of these game clients, and would use it for the bigger games instead of Steam if I could.

Man, these games don't need to come back. They never had any redeeming qualities to begin with.

@Harpers_Ferry

What are you talking about? I owned a PS3 up to a few years ago. Now any game I play on it is at a friends house. The only console I won't touch is an Xbox 360, cuz I mean, why bother?

@TKCMuzzer

Again, I like how the "way I word" (whatever the hell that means, or did you mean "his opinion is not shared with my own"?) indicates that I did not play the game.

I didn't like TLoU, so ...

Nice review! Lets hope this is like Bioshock Infinite all over again. Great story =/= great game, and player backlash seems to settle to the top after a while for these sort of games.

Guaranteed this game will be lost to history as anything other than a member of some Top 25 PS3 Games list, by which time places like N4G will cry about how overrated it actually was.

No, you're right and there have been neurological studies that have confirmed it. Brain signals fire off milli or microseconds (i don't remember which) before we become conscious of it.

I've always viewed our conscious as essentially an ephemeral residue of the actual physical process that governs our thoughts and actions.

It's like the author just took an ethics class and now thinks they're enlightened.

On a side note, why is this crap not an obstacle music faced before consideration as a serious form of art? These days the intelligentsia insist that a book must have meaning, or else it is pulp. A film must have meaning, or else it escapist fluff. The same thought process is now infecting video games.

Space Combat has Star Citizen on the horizon.

Platform games need actual platforming. Infamous and AC series are not platformers, and the average 3D platformer requires no skill these days. If Nintendo wants me to buy a Wii U, they should make Mario difficult again.

FPS Adventure thrives in low budget European titles. They're all over Steam and Gamersgate.

The text adventure's most recent quality release was called Cypher. It wa...
