Oh you! That was sarcasm, silly.
Notice the intentional lack of grammar.
Your reading comprehension skills are absolutely stunning.
And yes, I prefer the comfort of my rock to the company of any society that finds this tool entertaining.
If by world building you mean large, vacant areas where the only notable gameplay is you walking, then yes, it's a great trade off!
Not in America we don't.
So this is what Marcus Beer looks like, eh. Fits the douche profile I had imagined for him.
Modern gamers expect a narrative focus. Most are more than willing to award a subpar game a 9/10 if it tells a strong story. It really has become more about the story than the gameplay in this industry.
Who is this KSI guy? I only heard of him yesterday, watched a video or two, thought he was some lame youtuber, then moved on.
Now I see his face plastered all over this damn website, as if he ever had a fanbase.
Love UC1. Dislike UC2-TLoU.
Just a matter of tastes. I don't like when the game stops being a game for a while so it can let me experience a story. I just don't enjoy those "breaks", so I don't enjoy those games.
Please let it be! I'll finally be able to enjoy another Naughty Dog game.
Give me this, a new Zelda (naturally), and a new Metroid (hope the series isn't hibernating for another console generation) and I'll be a Wii U much sooner.
"All of the brilliant things about Call of Duty: Ghosts are out shined by the glaring understanding that this has been done before, and in some cases, better while tossing in a new twist into the gameplay."
"it’s glaringly apparent that this perfect video game doesn’t bring new dimensions to enough areas to tout it as the best game ever. It’s a really good game that’s fun until a better game comes around."
...brilliant things about Call of...
So you've read the books, have you? Well here, watch this TV show retell the books. Not even finished with the show yet? Here, have this video game which retells the stories again.
Been playing some Ultima lately. Funny just how ahead of Bethesda those games remain in terms of storytelling, depth of gameplay, and attention to dungeon design.
Can't wait to explore the same dungeon over and over again in Fallout 4!
They're almost all masterpieces of game design.
Most gamers cannot get into them anymore because there is no "mature" story dragging them through it. But I feel Nintendo is right keeping the story disconnected from the gameplay, allowing them to make a game that is fun and interesting and whose mechanics are not beholden to the story the game wants to tell.
Don;t they only have about 5 games?
BEST DEVELOPER EVAR!!
Just find the time to experience it.
And if you do, do not be shy. You may not be able to speak, but you can still communicate and interact with the actors through subtle things like body language, who you choose to follow, how you position yourself during a "scene", etc. As the article suggests, fortune favors the bold.
Sleep No More! Absolutely my favorite art installation ever! It's a shame all of my friends are too enamored by the bar scene to give a damn about such a unique experience.
Or yours is boring and typical of a generation that is obsessed with narrative over gameplay.
I get that. I'm part of the older generation of gamers and I fell in love with something different than most modern gamers did. It's merely frustrating to see my hobby become so determined to alienate me as it "matures".
Demon's Souls, Journey, Echochrome, and Wipeout HD.
Not that Last of Us crap or MGS 4 nonsense.
Off Topic:
Is there anybody else out there that would like to see a new Fear Effect game for PS4?
I have such a love hate relationship with this series. I think the games are godawful boring but the design, not just the quality of the graphics, but the uniqueness of ship designs and interiors, is just spectacular and always keeps me motivated to see the next gorgeous room.
