Yawn. Sorry Tim Schafer, but you've been having a pretty terrible glut of mediocre software output since Psychonauts.
Just give me Grim Fandango on GOG and I guess I'll buy 2 copies of this game.
Can someone explain to me how this looks generic but Quantum Break somehow looks amazing?
Let's see, I see unique skill sets for different classes, a wide variety of weaponry, Bungie's quality level design, fun vehicular combat, a gorgeous pulp aesthetic, and the whole thing looks like it handles very well.
Quantum Break is a non-gameplay trailer that shows maybe 10 seconds of generic 3rd person gunplay and is already being hailed as a rival to The La...
Not from actual gameplay...................... .
Not expecting much from this game. After Alan Wake I'm not sure I ever want to experience another Remedy game.
You guys do know that you saw maybe 10 seconds total of actual gameplay footage, right?
I'd rather they altogether moved away from Ripley. Her role in the series is over, far as I'm concerned. Say what you will about Alien 3 but it is a fitting conclusion to her arc. Resurrection was a useless contribution to the story and Prometheus was a great idea trapped in a terrible film.
Sadly, Dead Space pretty much strip mined the entire religion based on the alien concept from the comics and most of the fanbase refuses to acknowledge anything beyond the Colo...
As an Alien obsessive I feel the need to point out that any reference to Ripley's daughter is only in the Aliens Director's Cut. Not sure if that's considered canon or not.
So any inclusion of Ripley's daughter is more acceptable than retconning Hicks back into the narrative.
The real concern here is that name, "Universe". It implies the same bastardization of the source material as Legacy of Kain: Nosgoth.
This generation didn't care as much about gameplay as it did perfecting narratives in games.
Let's see. Do I want to play a Fallout game or do I want to play an Elder Scrolls mod? Do I want good writing or do I want bland writing? Do I desire meaningful consequence of my actions or do I desire blowing an entire town up and suffering no repercussions? Do I want my dungeons to have character or do I want them to look like cut and paste jobs?
Plenty more of these, folks. It's fairly obvious to me that New Vegas is better, but then again I bet most readers h...
Easy. Save your money and invest it in Fallout New Vegas. Or if you really need the medieval theme, go with The Witcher 2 or Dark Souls.
Not even remotely close.
Probably won't sell. I've mentioned the game before, nobody ever seems to have ever heard of it. Makes me sad.
I don't see either Infamous or Destiny being a system seller. Infamous for sure is not, but Destiny might end up being a trojan horse like WoW or something but definitely not initially.
Titanfall is most definitely going to be the CoD killer. It's going to play out exactly how CoD 4 siphoned off the Halo 3 fanbase.
Why do articles like this persist? There is such a thing as cohabitation in nature. I don't see it can't exist with inanimate gaming machines.
The Halo series (1,3,& Reach) were anything but generic. Sure, they were strictly console affairs but show me any other modern FPS that was doing what Halo did with its level design.
There is rarely a corridor in any of those games if you ignore the Library level in Halo 1.
Or I've played all of them just to experience the beautiful architecture Guerrilla Game's talented artists come up with.
I'm serious, that is the only reason I play any KZ games. I'd buy an artbook of the series in half a heart beat if they ever made one.
Sadly, I do not own a 3DS.
Hasn't generic been the calling card of this series' gameplay since KZ1?
But gosh, they're so beautiful to look at!
For me, without a doubt the list looks like
1. Majora's Mask
2. Wind Waker
3. Ocarina of Time
4. A Link to the Past
5. Oracle of Seasons and Ages
6. Skyward Sword
7. Four Swords
8. The Adventure of Link
9. Twilight Princess
10. Phantom Hourglass
Another space combat game. Sweet! Love seeing this dead genre being given a 2nd chance.
