Honestly, they don't even have to be the best. For every hardcore PC fan that might also own a PS4, there are far more PS4 owners that don't have a gaming rig. That's their potential market and there is really no other VR alternative for them...aside from the smartphone stuff. I'd say, initially, they need to be good be at what they are doing with the potential of being great and having some sort of longevity. (support from major studios and major games) If they can convince p...

For someone with the name Wallstreet, you don't have any idea how pricing works. They can't just pull arbitrary numbers from thin air to "undercut" the competition. Prices are based on costs to create, build, and ship units to retail...with whatever profit margin that they THINK that they can squeeze added to the end. All of this, of course, is based on market projections and analysis and likely given the okay by their board. It's not unilateral. What's more likely i...

Most MOBA's "look boring". IMO, it has to do with the typical MOBA design. The beginning is mostly farming and a bit of poking. Not a ton of action. But, the middle and late game is where the action happens. (ganking, grouping, split pushing, etc.) That can take time to get to in some MOBA's. Right now, because of inexperience with the mechanics, Paragon games can be quite long (many over 30 min. easily) Once the community fully adapts, I think the action will move a bit fas...

That was my first thought..1st party vs. 3rd party support. Not too worried. I guess we'll see.

As I remember from my time with move controllers, they had to be calibrated fairly often (especially between games) for optimal use. When they were calibrated, they were very accurate and there was zero problem with acceleration. (that was for the first party games and Tiger Woods PGA Tour)
Perhaps there were some issues with porting to the PS4 in terms of controls? I have a hard time believing that this issue is so prevalent and this is the first time we've heard this issue. Eith...

I honestly don't think that Sony expects PS4 type numbers with VR. They seem to be in it for the long haul. They are hoping that the early adopters will become evangelists about it and the mass market will be ready for it right around the time that PSVR is ready for a price drop. This is their idea of forward thinking technology and their way to get their foot in the door.

Bundles are usually something that they talk about after a hardware reveal. First, they talk about the core unit (price, specs, etc.). Then, they talk about games. Finally, they talk about bundles. People just need to be patient.

Initially..it WAS just the graphics. People just expected what was shown and when they didn't get it...well...you know. Most of the more reasonable complaints (as in those that played it) centered around poor driving mechanics, poor overall story, not enough variety with the hacking mechanics, and the lack of character of the protagonist.

That being said, I enjoyed my time with it as well. I loved the shooting mechanics and the hideouts. (so many interesting ways to defe...

While reviews are meant to be objective, there is always a bit of subjectivity to them. Whether it be the tone of the writing, the effusive use of adjectives, or even simply assigning a number as a score, it is difficult to completely be devoid of common psychological biases.
IMO, reviewers don't have to avoid subjectivity at all costs. They just need to make it known (like your description of the last paragraph) and make sure that their is enough objectivity to balance it out.

This, IMO, is a bridge too far. Regardless of my feelings for Sterling, suing him for his analysis (read: opinion) in a video is ridiculous. Even if his video gets 200,000 views, that's a small percentage of perspective consumers. For fair use, it will be tricky for DH to even prove inherent value of their product seeing as though it is not a brand in and of itself. Even man hours, money spent, etc. don't highlight value as much as worth to the one creating it. As for libel, that will...

Japan has become so much more of a niche market that it's difficult to penetrate without having niche titles. MS doesn't seem to have enough of them, at this point, to sell well. It's not "hate" so much as it is a lack of games that interest them.

PSNow, IMO, is Sony attempting to diversify it's market by providing games for hardware that is outside of the traditional PS ecosystem. (tablets, smartphones, smart TV's, and set-top boxes) They are wanting to entice fringe consumers to embrace their brand and take a deeper plunge. Plus, make it easier to access their games.
Could that be the beginning of something else? Sure. (doubt it will be the next gen) But, they have to wait for internet infrastructure to catch up befor...

It's not the assembly that's the problem. It's getting everything to work right that is the issue. Although more people have become savvy about how to use PC's, I don't think most of them know (or truly care) how they actually work. Which, IMO, is an important part of assembling and maintaining a PC. That is why consoles are easier to deal with AND why the mass market still opts for out-of-the box PC's.

Like most issues with motion sickness, it won't be universal. There will be some that are effected to the point that they can't use it. Then, there will be some that won't really feel it. I'm sure there will be an adaptation period. (I have that after playing racing games for long periods of time) But, once again, I doubt it will be a long lasting, universal issue. Either your brain will adapt or you just won't be able to handle it. The latter likely being a small portion ...

To your point, that's why I said that they struggled. Likely, some of that struggle was balancing storytelling and actual gameplay. As IamTylerDurden said, there's a beautiful game there but, imo, it needed better balance. That could balance could be achieved with a second game where they aren't having to spend resources and time doing everything from scratch. I actually quite liked the game. But, it left me wanting more.
