I UNDERSTAND the general frustration surrounding HHG...but what I DON'T and WON'T understand are the several people that continue to flock to his show and every article that he has to keep saying the same stuff. Look, you already know that he is "rough" around the edges, so to speak. You already know that there is ALWAYS gonna be a sensationalist spin (NG4 termed FLAMEBAIT) to his titles. But, you still show up...just to bash.
HHG is what he is. He is a hip hop artist...who i...
I would agree that this current gen or "NEXT GEN" as it is called has not had the "earth shattering" innovations that were seen when the leap from 2D to 3D was made. However, there is STILL plenty of innovation to be had. First off, to dismiss graphics as an add-on is ridiculous when even the console manufacturers will bill the graphics as a major selling point to enter the next gen. This has not changed from the days of the Atari. Next I would have to say that we have see...
IGN...in the past...has been very vocal about their general dislike for Sony's little handheld console. I can understand their issues in the past...because of the lack of support from 3rd party devs...but that has changed since 2005. A new PSP owner could be overwhelmed by the amount of good and even great software that is currently out on the market...not to mention the stellar lineup that is to come between now and next year. I think the PSPgo has a great design and form factor...in fact th...
IMHO....and that is ALL that this entire debate is...OPINION....I completely enjoyed the mechanics of BF:BC much more than COD4. I played the hell out of COD4...mostly because all of my friends were playing as well. However, I ventured out and discovered a gem in BF:BC. I thought that the idea of environmental damage along with the addition of vehicles and helicopters sealed the deal for me. Strategy in COD4 was limited to just personnel movement, whereas in BF:BC there was an extra layer to ...
I think that the EA dev had at least 2 little brown babies in his pants before the joke was revealed....maybe even a drop or two of pee!!!*LOL* That dude is probably seeking counseling for this joke!!!*LOL* Pretty dayum funny!!!
Pretty much right on the head. But, I can't really blame them. They are not ready to launch a PSP2 and they are kinda in a strange place with the PSP. My BIGGEST problem, aside from the price, is the fact that there is NO WAY to get your old games onto the new system without purchasing again. In this particular situation, the homebrew community might end up being Sony's best friends. Many people are just waiting for the inevitable hack of firmware in order to grab the PSPgo.
Has me MORE excited about it's second iteration than MW2. That is not saying that MW2 is NOT going to be good. This just looks like they improved the original so much. If it wasn't for the fact that most of my gaming friends were only getting MW2....this would probably be my first choice. As it is, I have to shift some money around just to get it!!! I loved the first...even with all of it's faults...so I KNOW that I'll love this one.
Those dayum bunkers can keep you occupied for quite some time. They need to balance the efficacy of the rocket launchers on the turrets of the bunkers. That would help the process a bit. I think that we might see some of that in the last beta phase. Remember...they made some pretty significant changes from last phase to this one in terms of the APC's being almost impervious to anything. More bugs than they know what to do with are being reported...so they are definitely aware of them.
I agree...but...I think that they are going to miss out on those current PSP users that actually WOULD have forked out the extra cash for the new form factor. I think of how many people I know that bought all of the versions of the DS...or even the gameboy...turned color...turned sp. Nintendo rakes in money hand over foot BECAUSE people will continue to spend that kind of cash. Also, I DO think that the intro price point for the PSPgo is too high...simply because you can get the PS3 for an ex...
Zipper has a crazy schedule on their side...in terms of optimizing the gameplay. When we are NOT on...they are working to fix bugs, coordinating which maps and games need further testing, tweaking the servers and analyzing the issues with players dropping/freezing. They even tweaked the textures, the long waits, and most download issues in the course of a weekend. They do a great job. I don't like the fact that I just can't play when I want, but I completely understand WHY Zipper is doing it....
Playing the beta and loving every single minute!!!
Rumor has it...floating all around the beta forums...that the server times will be increased...possibly 24/7 once the GameStop beta starts after this current beta phase. The devs haven't commented as of yet...but it's worth it to keep your eyes open. I also understand that all current beta members will continue their membership up until the beta closes!!!
It is as if he is trying to "brainwash" kids and parents!?!?!*L* The man is saying the same things that have been said by several presidents in the past. Only, the fact is, that he is a bit more tech savvy and actually knows some of his products. He has also mentioned iphones and ipods along with Xbox and Playstation.
As for the education piece, I can attest to that first hand. I am a high school teacher and I see what happens on a daily basis with kids that don't have regulat...
Thank you my friend...whoever you are...for FINALLY saying what I have been wanting to say since like page 2!!! There is NO magical wand that can be waved over an 8 year clusterf*ck of a presidency and clean it up in 8 months!!! No matter who would have won...this situation was inevitable. I reserve opinion for at least the halfway point of his administration. Let the seat get warm first!!!*L*
Although....if they put a stripper in a cake...all of our funds might be depleted by the first day and the attach rate for games would drop off severely!!!*LOL* As for the other three...I agree!!!
The devs have not only ramped up the abilities for the main character...but they have also modified the weapons. The shotgun might have been the new UV shotgun that they have added. It is supposed to use a "burst of light" as opposed to traditional ammo. That might explain the power of the blast.
They just build alters and worship at the feet of their almighty franchises!!!*LOL*
Go to the Beta forums on playstation.com and look at the Welcome to MAG thread and the New Players thread. There is a list of controls, a list of Objectives and what exactly they do in the flow of the game, and even keys to winning depending on what PMC you join. It would be hard to enjoy Madden if you don't understand the rules of football. Just as it is hard to enjoy MAG if you don't understand the rules of this game. Remember it is a beta...still a work in progress....so you will get some ...
IF you played the LIVE demo...I find it hard to believe that it would be your choice...having enjoyed what 2k has to offer. I too have played the LIVE demo...as I do EVERY year...hoping that maybe they would have reclaimed some of their former glory. This year...they have made strides in the right direction...but those strides don't even add up to what 2k8 had in terms of polish, fluidity, and overall game feel. I LOVED LIVE...for years. I was BLINDED by my loyalty to LIVE and wouldn't even t...
I see your future....it is hazy!!! Never is a bit too strong of a word! Immediate future...probably not...but within that 10 year life cycle (if Sony keeps it's business structure) it could easily take the top spot...although there will probably be a new iteration for each of the current gen consoles by then.
