I quite enjoyed the first as well and was looking for something to extend the fun that didn't have to do with some new plane pack. Missions would have been nice, and probably pretty easy to do. But, I guess this is designed to be a quick money maker. I'll get this one as well because I love the co-op feature. But, I really wish they would support it more this time with REAL content.

I should take my gaming advice from somebody who has probably not played a video game since they used to sneak over to their friend's basement to play Nintendo. Seriously, I get that you have the right to disagree. But, please spare me the false indignation. In America you are afforded certain freedoms. You have the freedom to be a naked 350 pound man running down the street naked with a purple wig and streamers coming out of your butt and call it art. The great thing is that I have the f...

That's exactly why I AM a fan of South Park. Behind all of the toilet humor there is a biting satire on our society that I just can't get enough of. Love it or hate it. It's really hard to deny the truths that they present on almost a weekly basis.

I think that she was angry at this idea for a reason. She see's this as horribly cliche. The one woman that she thought that she could count on to hold her own with Master Chief, Marcus Phoenix, and the damned terminator himself turns out to have these vulnerabilities and sensitivities that can be seen as weakness. Sure, nobody ever really said that Samus wasn't sensitive...it was just a given because she kicked so much ass. So, I agree that her prejudices and preconceived notions abo...

Just get the original PS3. They are not really in short supply. I've seen them all over. Plus, it's not like Sony is just giving you the original PS2 games. It's the same game...yes...but they are at least upping the resolution for today's HDTV owners. They aren't forcing you to pay for it...it's an option. I do agree that the article did lack a bit of perspective and focus. Ultimately, it was the ramblings of a bored person reflecting on his thoughts. Good or bad...th...

But, there is a difference between knowing of someone and really knowing about someone. Jordan has maintained his popularity through his merchandising and brand. However, there ARE some younger "fans" that still haven't witnessed how great he was. As a teacher, I have seen the grandiose claims of LeBron being the greatest player ever and the talk of how the NBA is great. Man, the overall quality of NBA basketball and the actual gameplay has declined. There was a time in the not ...

Jordan, Barkley, and a couple of other players wouldn't allow the Player's Association to license their name and likeness out. In early games when you played with the Bulls, there was a guy that was just Player # (they usually didn't use 23 but allowed you to edit it in). That was another thing that Jordan brought...business. Sure, there were endorsement deals before him. But, he branded himself! It wasn't Jordan representing this or that...it was the Jordan brand itself. Just...

Plus, if you dissect Kobe's game you will find a tremendous influence from His Airness. Kobe has developed into the same type of player, maybe not at the same level, as Jordan was in his latter years. The back to the basket turn around jumper that he developed is all Jordan. He definitely has that same killer instinct and the desire to will himself to be successful. The biggest difference is that, in my opinion, Jordan had the ability to make good players great. He wasn't surrounded b...

As long as you go to the middle of Baghdad and serve free food and congratulate all of the extremists for their contribution to the murders of innocents as well. See, both sides of this war have contributed to death of people in the name of a cause. Each side believes that they have the most just cause. I won't argue the politics. I will just say that it is extremely short sighted to point out US war vets for committing murders in Afghanistan and Iraq only.

and it received some pretty mediocre reviews from some that didn't really invest the time that it takes to understand the flow of the game and to actually become better at it. MAG has a definite learning curve and if you can't overcome that, I can see where some might think that it is mediocre. However, I think that it offers a multiplayer experience like no other.

I support your right to not want to play this game. However, I must respectfully disagree with the assertion that the very use of the name Taliban is accepting and indirectly condoning their actions. Their inclusion is strictly for realism and honoring the truth. I believe that it would be inherently disrespectful to ask actual special forces members to consult on the game and use their input and stories and then create some fictional group for them to fight. The fact is that if the Taliban w...

The Madden franchise and formula has been around for over 20 years. Just on the current gen consoles there have been 4 or 5 games alone. So, they have had plenty of time to get it right. Natural Motion has only had this one chance. In the 3 years of development they had to learn to game of football from scratch, tailor the Euphoria engine specifically for football interactions (which was probably insanely difficult), and create the actual game. Once they didn't get it right, they kept the...

EXACTLY!!! Although history and culture has tried to usurp the meaning of the N-word to apply to stereotypical blacks, it's original intent was just to describe the color of black people. It is basically the bastardized version of Latin and Spanish/Poruguese words for black which are niger and negro. It was the colonists that mispronounced these once neutral terms heard during their trade for slaves from Africa and Central and South America. Add in the preconceived notions of superiority ...

These kids know better too. How else do they still have teeth if they are using this same type of hate speech everyday!?!? The fact is that they ARE seeking some sort of thrill, much like the proverbial troll. However, I don't think that these blogs are meant for us. I think they are meant as a cathartic tool to release some of the frustration that comes with being the target of hate speech. I'm sure the author is not sitting behind his keyboard and thinking that he/she has just typed...

I completely agree with what you are saying. Console launches have been notorious for not having a slew of great games. Sure, there are usually 2-3 out of about 20 that are top notch. Then, there is the 3rd party glut. Finally, those that are just trying to cash in on the fact that there is new hardware and people want to buy new games for it. The 360 launched with 21 titles and 6 shortly thereafter. The PS3 launched with 30 in Japan and 21 in the US. Seems pretty even to me. I think the pric...

that the NFL is a powerful beast. There are millions of people all over that can't live without their yearly fix of video game football. Since the license is tied up for another couple of years...unless someone challenges it's validity with that American Needle decision...people will settle for Madden and somehow convince themselves that they have a great product. Madden needs a reboot. Just scrap the engine, which seems to be a adapted engine from last gen. Then, they need to start l...

and I love it now. Backbreaker is NOT perfect. It has it's flaws. But, the visceral experience with the physics is second to none. I have never physically reacted to more hits in a game in my life (actually cringing at times). What I can say is that 505 Games and Natural Motion are dedicated to making this a great game. The patch was put together with input from the forums and some of the YouTube guys that are on a mission to get the best out of video game football. They actually flew som...

especially those that are American have or have had family and friends that were or are still in the military and have been deployed in the Middle East. I had my best friend and his father both deployed in Desert Shield/Storm and my best friend again in this new war. What keeps me at peace? Knowing that they CHOSE to serve our country at a time of war. Oh...and knowing that their favorite games...while deployed...are FPS's. If you actually asked those that are deployed...they probably wou...

understand the need to C.Y.A. in a intense war situation. I would like to believe that the average soldier takes that seriously and would only take a life when the situation deemed it necessary. However, as you stated, begging to shoot was pitiful. I was a military brat and was exposed to BOTH types of soldiers. They were all highly trained and skilled. But, some just couldn't wait to shoot somebody.
