DS4 Windows takes 100% full advantage of the controller. It is excellent, and you can use the trackpad as a mouse to control launching games and such in a pinch & not have to grab your mouse just to put down/pick up your controller again for a mouse selection.

To your comment about bluetooth, I use this with my Surface Pro 2 via bluetooth for things like PCSX2 and the handful of Steam games I have on there and it works wonderfully. I also like the DS4 a bit more than the ...

It's not that people disagree in that they think they know what you want better than you do. It's simply an "agree / disagree" button - Yes, I agree with you in that nothing interests me or no, I disagree with you because things interest me.

It's not fact or fiction buttons and its context for usage is fluid - it can range from "I disagree because I think you are wrong" when you state something you think is a fact, and "I disagree because ...

Stick & Hoop, Jacks and Hopscotch will always be #1. Good ol' way of gaming ftw.

I can so long as the Dub is actually acted well. I occasionally have issues with the differences between the actual wording of the Subs and Dubs. Take Fairy Tail for example. The English subs are pretty crude in comparison to the English dub, which was clearly cleaned up to sound more natural. If the actual content matches, I care far less. Having a pure non-English voice to kind of imprint your own impressions on with the general tone/emotion being conveyed can be far more powerful than an E...

I don't really get the demo in general. It felt nothing like any of the trailers we saw and I don't feel like it was overly representative of what we're getting with FF XV. I was pretty underwhelmed with the demo myself. I liked swapping weapons while auto-attacking and I think they could make the system interesting enough by adding in a few more elements.

But yea, the demo was pretty meh - dulled my excitement after all the cool trailers. I'm still optimisti...

I found the demo pretty underwhelming and not really representative of the game.

The battle system is OK, I did kind of like swapping weapons while "auto attacking" with the O button. Ultimately though I don't feel like I got enough time with it, nor with the adult Noctis. It took me about 35 minutes with all the crystal collecting, and little of that felt like I did much of anything.

The crystal collecting felt weird, I think they have somethin...

For less than the price of one new game we get access to 72 other games. 72!

It also seems like people want AAA just to get AAA. It makes no sense. Most people think Knack is a crappy game, yet there has been a hue & cry to get it on PS+. Why? If you already know it's a mediocre game, wouldn't you rather get to try another game - even if indie - that has a chance (or is already known) to be better than mediocre?

Sure, we should get a AAA game now...

You are talking like you'll definitely need to upgrade to these new consoles (if they actually materialize), and that's just not the case.

I have all the consoles as well as a gaming PC. If you go the PC route, there is definitely a lot to like. But if you think just because the console makers are offering a little bump in hardware makes what you have useless, you'd probably like PC gaming even less. New and better processors and GPUs come out yearly, so everythin...

I've had a similar thought myself. If they are going after a more mobile market, that rumor about the console coming with a wireless stick that uses their streaming tech on the gamepad makes even more sense.

They could pour all their money into making a bleeding edge mobile device that actually computes everything on the "controller" and streams to the TV. That would be an interesting approach, though one less suited to how those in the West game.

If this is the way the controller is meant to be used, then yea, DOA.

However, I think there is also a chance that it pops into a more traditonal controller "shell" that has tactile buttons and this is just the middle. It would allow you to detach and take it with you, but still give you the physical buttons alongside a touchscreen that would be far more practicle for using for in-game thing when used alongside the console (since you could reach the entirety of the ...

Correct, you can't use the PS-Eye with PS4.

Which is a bummer because thanks to the aforementioned bundles I bought, I have two of those things! lol

Gameplay is king, so they better well nail that one! lol

Story - I just want something that's freaking comprehensible. The XIII trilogy was largely a mess and full of characters I felt pretty damn "meh" about at best. Give the characters actual character rather than "broody/bubbly/has a chocobo". Great stories can span many novels, they just need to make each standalone actually have internal arcs with a satisfying payoff.

FF XIII had....

Only a noob would ask that. It's Brett! You know...Brett.

Though your joke did make me think about something. Him saying his name honestly makes as much, or more, sense than "I" or "We" in most of titles like these. At least Brett assumes we don't know who he is. No point really. Just never gave it much thought before lol.

I suppose it would boil down to 10% of what. And keeping in mind that value is highly subjective, thus less cut & dry.

Is it 10% of the current MSRP? I suppose if you knew you'd beat a game in the first month or whatever before it starts reflecting sale prices, it might be worth considering. Though would you really buy digital if you did this, given the trade-in discrepancy of digital & physical? Any time after it dips below full price though the value increasingl...

Agreed. I already own the camera, 2 moves, 2 navs, 2 sharpshooters & dual charging station (those Killzone/Resistance bundles for $99 back in the day were too good to pass up).

HOWEVER, also a savvy PR move to announce Core first.

The majority of coverage will include the $399 price point, and firsts tend to be what Mass Media continues to regurgitate. This price looks great next to the $599 and $799 points of its competitors. It also makes it appear that...

I feel kind of like he started off as not child-friendly, but year to year the poor Squirrel's nuts have been taken away to more match his cutesy visage (though this Hololense appearance is by far the most neutered he's been). This usage feels unnecessary, but it gives the project more visibility than "random new mascot". Sad he's been relegated to "B" projects and tech demos.

I'm no Conker scholar though, so feel free to correct me if I&...

Depends largely on the end-game, I think. I don't normally love gear grinding, but I've managed to put in a gross number of hours with Diablo 3 because it has a decent end-game loop. I didn't like the Destiny grind however. It's all about what strikes you - not all grinds are necessarily created equal.

And people pooping on a speed-dash to the level cap in 15 hours seems silly. On the face of it, 15 hours isn't heinous for a non-...

It's weird. I've never seen a game on Steam that can be purchased right now in Early Access to actually have a "release date" in the future - I suppose that means that they know that will be their 1.0 date, but strange nonetheless.

Look interesting though.

You hope that since it was supposed to be out this year, most of the story is already written. Maybe all they need are bits of fleshing out, a bit of filler or general edits.

The alternative is pretty bleak, as a lot of core turnover in storytellers will likely make for a fractured/unfocused/incoherent story arc. Not a certainty, but it certainly increases the odds for that fear to become reality.
