'N that explains why people are gravitating towards this company.
Pun not intendod.
It's a great game for sure. I don't know if I'd go as far as to say it's a masterpiece because there is a lot of room for improvement in my opinion but as far as story and writing goes it's an excellent game. I can't wait to see how TLOU2 will improve on the first one. The gameplay reveal at E3 was nuts. Hopefully we're getting to see some infected soon.
Initially I really wanted them to go for infected animals in the sequel but seeing that Days...
I don't agree that God of War has certainly been made better. I love the new God of War game especially because it sets up the new world and story in such a great way that the next titles will undoubtedly benefit from it but in doing so, new challenges arise which it handles with varying degrees of success or failure.
I don't know 2017 was one of the craziest years in recent history. If you focus on 90+ games alone you don't do 2017 justice as it had so many great games that came close but didn't quite reach the 90 mark on aggregation sites (Nier: Automata [89], Horizon [89], Nioh [88], Cuphead [88], Sonic Mania [87], Yakuza 0 [87], Wolfenstein 2 [86], Resident Evil VII [86], Hellblade [84]).
2018 is a really good year so far but we'll have to wait and see how the numero...
Watched it yesterday evening. I didn't get the bonkers levels of hype some journalists were reporting but it looks really promising to me. The demo starts out a bit slow but it picks up after a while. The guns look creative (somewhat reminded me of resistance in terms of functionality), the movement looks great (double jump, mid air dodges and, slides not to mention the mantis blade action on the wall) and the hacking will probably open a lot of possibilities too. The car chasing stuff lo...
@Solesquared: Same here but I've heard that bomberlink stopped working on games so I guess that it wouldn't have been possible to get him on this project.
Hey Fox. I agree the soundtrack has to be sick. Out of curiosity seeing as you seem to be a Streets of Rage fan as well have you ever payed Streets of Rage Remake v5.1 from Bombergames? If not I definitely recommend it.
Damn I'm pumped. I honestly was hoping of a SoR 4 in the same style as Sonic Mania (meaning graphics and gameplay stay mostly intact) but this doesn't look bad at all. Hope it turns out great. I've been waiting 20 years for this. Don't screw it up Lizardcube.
HOLY CRAP! Is this official? This is one of my favorite franchises of all time.
Interessting. I'm currently on my 3rd playthrough in God of War and I was wondering why I'm not enjoying the elements it shares with the Souls games as much in God of War. I finally realised that besides God of War being easier in general it is because it doesn't punish you for death at all.
In the Soulsborne games discovering a shortcut feels awesome because in case you die you are rewarded with a quicker path to your failing point. This feature alone makes me ...
Your inability to read that the information originally comes from Digital Foundry, and your ignorance of rendering techniques and temporal reconstruction methods are quite shocking considering the confidence you are displaying in criticising others.
Sonic the hedgehog, Super Street Fighter 2, Streets of Rage 2 (Huge step up from SoR1), Donkey Kong Country
Tekken 3, Unreal, Resident Evil & Final Fantasy VIII (Mostly for their pre-rendered backgrounds)
God of War 2, Doom 3, Far Cry
Crysis, Bioshock, Uncharted 2, God of War 3, The Last of Us
The Order 1886, Driveclub, Uncharted 4, Battlefront, Horizon: Zero Dawn, God of War
@xX-oldboy-Xx: "Is it an open world game? I thought it was a single player game set in an open world." That's just another way of saying open world game.
So it'll be around the same length as the Infamous games. I'm cool with that.
Before they stood out, Now they don't. I can't see how this is going to help them be more successful. Targetting a passionate niche audience is still better than offering generic mainstream games in my book. I understand that they weren't very profitable so things had to change but why go from oustanding niche games to the biggest mainstream trend? Surely there must be a compromise between the two. I wouldn't be surprised if their new game bombs to be honest. It's really a...
Similar list for me. I'd just throw out Anthem and add Days Gone.
I haven't been following this game because I haven't played the originals yet but I like the vibes. I'll definitely check out the collection first though. Hopefully deep silver has given the dev team enough of a budget so Yu Suzuki can create the game he envisioned.
Eh... I could name a bunch of publishers that are a lot worse than Bethesda when it comes to anti-consumer practices. Sure they have their fair share of bullshit like creation club, ESO dlc and overpriced re-releases of old games but they are also publishing some awesome single player games with no strings attached at the same time.
If Bethesda "needs to go" than a lot of other publishers need to go before them and we end up with barely any video game industry lef...
I'm expecting much more 9s than 8s. Personally I only care about a hand full of reviewer's opinions but it's always fun to guess what the general consensus will be. I'm going out on a limb and predict an 89 on opencritic.
Insomniac Games is an extremely talented dev team and it seems like they are very ambitious with Spiderman. They said they are aiming to deliver quality that is on the same level as Sony's First Party studios (specifically naming Guerri...
Awesome. These past few weeks have been amazing for me in terms of retro games. Desperados 3, Streets of Rage 4 and now a new Samurai Showdown game.
