It'll compete with a lot of games on it's release date. If none of those games gets delayed it comes out on the same day as Anthem, Metro and Crackdown 3.
I think it'll come out late 2019/ early 2020.
It'll be interesting to see wether Sony and MS will announce new consoles before next E3. If so next E3 will probably have some early 1st party announcements for both of them. If we don't get new console announcements before next E3 however I think next year will be pretty quiet in terms of 1st party games.
If you took the time to criticise some specific things you didn't like instead of just saying that it "looked soooo pretentious and awful" you might have people actually engaging in a discussion with you. The last sentence of your comment however seems to indicate that you're not really interested in a discussion.
Not even close man. Microsoft had one of their best conferences ever. Sony screwed up with the intermission after TLOU2 but other than that it was a great conference (I'd argue better than 2017). Nintendo was on the weaker side but Nintendo at E3 is rarely impressive because of their regular directs. Overall it was a pretty good year for the big 3 imo. The 3rd parties however were definitely on the weak side this year.
Well no Bayonetta 3 or Metroid news is disappointing. Smash looked great though.
Man they really put a lot of work into this one. Good job Nintendo.
I just don't see how you can be negative after seeing:
12 minutes presentation of The Last of Us
9 minutes presentation of Ghost of Tsushima
8 minutes presentation of Death Stranding
7 minutes presentation of Spiderman
The announcement of Control (new Remedy game) and NIOH 2.
And an amazing trailer for Resident Evil 2 remake with a release date early next year.
Yeah they screwed up big time with ...
Agree with this 100%. The weidest part is that they did this one long block of pacekilling right after TLOU 2 where they had that panel with the Cod, Destiny and already announced games trailers. Who on earth thought that completely killing the pace after such an amazing gameplay reveal was a good idea? If they cut all of that out and go right from the end of TLOU 2 presentation to the beginning of Ghost of Tsushima the conference would've been amazing.
Yeah those animations are top notch. I love how the arrows fell out of the quiver when Ellie killed that woman at 10:30. Hopefully this kind of stuff makes it into the final build of the game.
Ghost of Tsushima, Ni-Oh 2 and Sekiro. Year of the Samurai!
Obviously Kojima doesn't want to reveal the meat of the gameplay yet. I guarantee you that there is more to this game than wandering through the landscape. I assume we'll get a more action oriented gameplay reveal at PSX later this year.
Cool I've just finished the game today.
I haven't seen Devolver.
For me it's:
1. Sony and MS 8/10
2. Bethesda 6/10
3. Square, Ubisoft, PC 5/10
4. EA 4/10
What do you mean nothing really new? Nioh 2 and Control were new announcements. And Resident Evil 2 Remake was absent for a long time so it's definitely exciting to see it making an appearance.
What first party studio did you expect to announce anything? They either have released a game recently or we know what they are working on. That VR From Software game that got announced after the presentation was technically 2nd party (I'm disappointed that From Soft is working on a VR title personally).
Damn if it wasn't for that stupid intermission after TLOU 2 it would've been a dream conference. I wasn't completely sold on Spiderman before but after that last demo it's day one for sure. TLOU 2 looked incredibly great. Ghost of Tsushima gameplay looked great as well and i love the setting. I'm also surprised how much we've seen from Death Stranding. I loved when that relatively calm gameplay took a dark turn and those interdimensional enteties started showing up. No...
What the heck. What was the point of these pre-E3 announcements ifr they're going to include them in the "presentation" anyway.
TLOU 2 looked great. WTF is that format though. I hate these intermissions already.
Haha. Pretty much. Next year looks like it has the potential to be the craziest year of this gen.
