No, reviews confirmed there is currently no way to store PS5 games externally.
The only essential features missing right now are VRR and exporting PS5 games to an external drive. These will surely be added sooner rather than later.
Personally I don't care about quick resume, but if they add something like that they should make the SSD footprint customizable. I don't want to waste storage space for a feature I'm not planning to use.
Relic of the past. When you had passively cooled consoles, consuming less than 20W these cases worked fine. They were never intended to house >200W consoles that rely on good airflow.
Bluepoint makes the most sense right now. It's a quality studio that already has a great relationship with Sony. Their technical expertise will fit right in with the likes of Naughty Dog, Guerilla, Santa Monica, Sucker Punch and Insomniac.
They might even help Sony to make backwards compatible titles run smoother / look better. They could also revive some of Sony's dormant IPs by making remakes and potentially sequels in colaboration with other studios. Of course th...
Cool. It's one of the few PS+ collection games I don't own already so I'll probably check it out once I get a PS5.
Because it's new tech. People are excited about the possibilities. Graphics aren't separate from the experience. More sophisticated rendering techniques will allow for more dynamic and immersive worlds. Game creators will be able to tell their stories more effectively. Higher framerates will improve motion clarity and make the games more responsive.
Some aspects are obviously silly, like the continued forcus on native pixelcount/frame when we've entered the age ...
Yes. The gameplay we've seen so far showcased the performance mode targeting 60fps. There will also be a 30fps mode that will push for a higher visual fidelity.
In terms of the tech yes. We've already seen how impressive DLSS can be. It'll depend how widely it'll be supported going forward. We also don't know how AMDs alternative will compare yet. Still a lot of unanswered questions, but it looks like they will all be solid cards to say the least.
They didn't touch the AI. What they basically did was to get the original PS3 version up and running on the PS5 and strip down everything that was not deemed essential. This essential framework consisted of gameplay mechanics, game logic and AI.

I highly recommend this Interview. It's very informative and shows how careful BluePoint w...
Well yeah, as you've said it's a remake of a PS3 title. They aren't going to fundamentally change the game. This visual fidelity running at 60fps is certainly something that wouldn't be possible on current-gen consoles, but you're technically right, it's not next-gen in the Ratchet & Clank sense.
When they announced that Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Horizon Forbidden West were cross-gen titles I immediately thought that Demon's Souls Remake ...
Man I hope I get a PS5 soon after launch. This looks incredible.
We haven't seen independent benchmarks yet and we have no idea about the RT capabilities of Big Navi. If we go by AMD figures alone rasterization-performance/$ should be in the same ballpark across 3070, 6800 and 6800 XT, so it mostly becomes a question of how much performance you need.
The RX 6800 will probably be slightly more future proof as a 4k card compared to the 3070, because it has twice the amount of VRAM and ~14% more performance on average (according to the ...
It seems like the architectural differences between the Series X and an RDNA2/Zen2 based gaming PC will be minimal. I wonder if MS can get the API to a level where the PC versions of games will just work without the need to do a port at all. I wonder if they would allow console players to fiddle around with graphical settings though.
From all the information that's out there, I feel like I have a good idea on what to expect. I honestly don't know what else they could say to make it clearer without having people trying it out for themselves.
I might pick it up when it's cheaper. I was pretty excited about the concept when they've shown the game for the first time, but it doesn't seem to live up to it's potential. From what I've seen so far it looks a little rough around the edges. No performance mode on next gen consoles is another downer.
If it's 99.99% running at 60fps, that's for all intends and purposes as good as locked 60fps. That's generally accepted and I can't remember an example where framedrops this rare ever caused any backlash. I don't think they are worried about a vocal minority of console warriors making a fool of themselves, by claiming otherwise.
I think it's much more likely that they have to lower clocks to guarantee compatibility, which causes it to perform similar...
Not by default, since there is a 30fps cap in place. It would at least require a patch to raise or remove the cap. It's also possible that there would be compatibility issues running at much higher clocks.
Hopefully. But "Up to 60 FPS" doesn't sound very stable to me. We'll see.
The game already had that on PS4 Pro though. It doesn't sound like it'll take advantage of the increased processing power of the PS5 for now.
Some of those people are a lost cause. They won't change their mind no matter how much evidence you present. Digital Foundry is getting the same shit from Xbox fanboys, who are now claiming that they are Sony shills. If you don't agree 100% with either camp or even dare to criticize any aspect of their favorite platform you are deemed an enemy.
