I'd definately count Pantheon to one of the strongest junglers right now. One could argue about Eve however not many people can play her right.
Lee Sin is very good in the early game but doesn't nearly bring as much to teamfights as a Pantheon or a Wukong.
You really can't compare the cpu of the PS3 with the CPU of the PS4. The PS3 heavily relied on the Cell-processor for graphics processing. The GPU was basically just to support the Cell. With the PS4 it's almost the exact opposite. The GPU does most of the work and ideally even takes computing tasks away from the CPU. The CPU is in place to do whatever can't be done by GPGPU.
I understand your disappointment. And I'm not accepting anything mindlessly. I'm not saying I'll buy this game no matter what. I'm just saying wait til it's finished and we get to see more of how it ends up.
I'd say wait til it's finished and then judge. I honestly don't care too much how it looks graphically as long as it looks fun to play (which it does).
Not every game has to set a new graphics benchmark.
PSOne: Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX, Metal Gear Solid, Chrono Cross, Vagrant Story, Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Soul Reaver, Silent Hill, Resident Evil,...
Not saying it's nessessarily the best console ever but it's definately up there.
I'd say it's almost certain that a combined version will come at some point. Maybe not right when PP launches but I would be surprised if there wouldn't be a MGS V "Complete version" or even a "Goty version" with at least the Ground Zeroes digital code included at all.
This has nothing to do with what GG did. 960p means 960 vertical pixels while with killzone SF it is 960 horizontal pixels in the rendering pipeline (wich still results in 1920 horizontal pixels in the output without upscaling).
960p will have to be upscalesd however it's pretty close to 1080p so it'll probably look almost identical unless you're lookin at both versions side by side on a large screen.
Also I'd like to point out that I was and ...
That's really a weird resolution if it really is 960p. It has to be divisible by 9 if it runs in 16:9. It's probably 1712x963 but since 963p sounds even weirder they just said 960p.
"They should have just explained this before the game was released instead of lying to people and saying the MP ran at native 1080p 60fps."
I don't know about this. Only a small part of the gaming community even cares about those things and only a small part of those who care are knowledgeable enough to understand things like this. To be clear: Killzone Shadowfall puts out a full 1920x1080 picture in every frame. It's just the rendering technique that helped...
Are there spoilers for Second Son or only Infamous 1 and 2?
@KingDadXVI: "The Xbox One was intended from conception 5 years ago as a streaming console."
All right. I didn't know that. I guess we'll have more information on that topic in a couple days. I think if it's possible to stream in 720p on the PS4 someone from Sony will make a statement soon. Even if it's just a "we're looking into it".
Maybe someone should ask Mark Cerny. Who would know better than the system architect. ...
"The Xbox One was designed with that in mind while streaming was an add on for the PS4 that was not initially planned."
Really? As far as I know it was the other way around. Sony introduced the share button right with the console. The PS4 also has a dedicated video encoder chip.
As far as I know Sony originally didn't intend to offer twitch streaming. So the arrangement was probably made last minute. Maybe that's the reason why there is no 72...
It may not matter too much in case of hardware sales but it still matters. Let's say you are a let's player and you have both consoles. If you want to stream a let's play of a multiplatform game you could go with the Xbox One version instead of the PS4 version because it gives you the option of a higher quality stream.
It's not a big deal for most people but to say it doesn't matter at all is wrong imo.
@morganfell:
Unless I see high quality footage of ingame material I wouldn't make such a statement although i do agree that we don't need video game movies. The quality is so bad you can't even tell if it's supposed to look good.
It's hard to be impressed by 320p videos no matter how good the source material looks.
Because that's not the case nearly 100% of the time. I honestly never saw a movie adaptation of a great video game that could keep up with the quality of the game.
And in most cases (especially when Uwe Boll is involved) It doesn't even have much to do with the original story or characters.
Nice evidence man. Can you post more 940x404 pics showing all 3 versions of a horribly unoptimized game to prove your point please.
#facepalm
I'm not a fan of this maxing out discussion because technically it doesn't mean anything. How much power of the PS4 is used is only one aspect of "maxing it out". The other and more important aspect is how the power is used. The efficiency of coding and dev tools plus the optimization of the PS4 OS will inevitably lead to better looking games later in the lifecycle of the PS4.
With that being said I don't think the differences will be quite as big as t...
Wow that's a lot. 90 hours a week in 2011 sounds almost impossible unless you're spending 90 percent of you're awake time playing games.
I'm playing about 15-20 hours a week and I personally think that's quite a lot.
Nice one. My backlog gets bigger and bigger though. I'm actually surprised that Square Enix made that PSPlus deal for Tomb Raider considering they're trying to sell the Definitive Edition for full price.
Anyway I think I'll try Brothers A Tale of Two Sons first.
Boom! Big old explosion. Some, like, confetti comes down.
