"without this device the xbox one is just an under powered games console and it would be best just sticking with your 360."
By that definition the X1 with the Kinect is just an underpowered console with a gimmickly device on top of that.
People that still say it's build around the Kinect should open their eyes. You can unplug the Kinect and the console still runs perfectly. Why not sell it seperately then? Let the people decide if they're in...
UPDATE from the site: "We incorrectly stated that Wild Hunt was 20 times larger than Skyrim. It is actually 20 percent larger than the Bethesda title and 35 times bigger than The Witcher 2."
If you have an EU acc you've unfortunately missed your chance. Ni no Kuni was availiable for 8,90€ on the january sale. That's when I picked it up. Together with Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, Kingdoms of Amalur and Dante's Inferno I payed just abot 30€ for the whole package.
You really have to keep an eye on the sales. I'd still recommend you to get Ni no Kuni even if you'd have to pay a bit more for it. It's easily worth full price.
What about Shenmue or the VR Headset?
Everyone who is even remotely interessted in jrpgs and haven't picked up Ni no Kuni yet should do it now.
I'm more interessted in Watch Dogs. But The Division is one of the most impressive looking games graphically and we don't know much about it yet so I'll definately keep an eye on it as well.
@Roccetarius: Just because a game doesn't quite reach the quality of a previous game doesn't mean it sucks. A lot of people will agree that Uncharted 3 didn't have the same impact Uncharted 2 had. But it's still a very good game.
The problem is that some people can't handle games that are just "good". If it's not the next masterpiece that'll be titled GotG or best game ever it automatically sucks.
That's a very controversial comment. Even though I can agree on one of the points you made I wouldn't make such a comment unless I was going to participate in the disagree collecting contest.
What I want to know is: What's the purpose of your comment other than upsetting people?
@InTheLab: It all depends on how you determine "best track record". Is Blizzard on your list because it is one of the most successful devs or because it makes the best games?
When it comes to success ND probably maybe wouldn't even be in the top 20 (might be a bit exaggerated). But when it comes to great games you can't say that Blizzard trumps ND because that is a subjective point and everyone will have their own opinion on that.

Those are valid points for buying a PC but not for ditching your console (Only one that could count towards that is the online subscription).
There are too many to choose from. Pretty much every single Nobuo Uematsu soundtrack has been really great. So Final Fantasy has to be on a list like that imo. I'd probably choose FFVIII however all of them have been really good.
Zelda games have really great music as well. More recently I'd say The Last of Us and Ni no Kuni had amazing scores.
And then there are some old school soundtracks that just mean a lot to me personally cause the human brain t...
@ric3fry3r: If that was the case why would any dev on this planet choose to waste recources on a higher resolution? And why did we even go from 720p TVs to 1080p TVs?
@Outside_ofthe_Box: That's probaby not the reason why we havn't seen a FFVII remake yet. Making HD-remakes is probably one of the most uninpiring and boring jobs a game dev can have. And a PSOne to PS4 remake would take a lot of time.
I agree. Folklore was a really great game that still has the best sixaxis features in my opinion. The Darkness would be another overlooked game. It's still one of my favorites of the gen.
I agree with that order. However as you pointed out some faces look much more detailed than others of the same game. Ryse has some pretty big disparity in detail too.
Also I can't wait to see what Quantic Dream will be able to do with the PS4. The faces from Beyond: Two souls still look better than most faces in new gen games.
"We want the best of the industry to come work with us on our new IP, and Irrational Games are resident pros at that"
This is great news. Glad the talented people at Irrational get so many great offers.
It's only a matter of how much you want it really . I remember 10 years ago me and my brother saved enough money to get a High end PC by delivering newspapers. We got 40 bucks a month each and spend about 1200 on the PC. In case you're curious it had a Geforce 6800 Ultra in it.
That's a surprisingly distinct lead. Granted sales numbers are expected to drop some time after launch but this is really starting to look ugly for MS. Surely Titanfall will help but it'll only do so much.
The good thing about this (good for me, not nessessarily for you) is that MS might consider a Kinect less version soon.
You forgot RAM and an OS. But I wouldn't nessessarily count monitor. You aren't listing TV to the cost of a console right? Everyone has a TV and you can use the PC with a TV if you want to.
Exploration isn't dying. I even think we get more open world games than ever before. inFamous: Second Son, Watch Dogs, Thief, Dying Light, Final Fantasy XIV, The Elder Scrolls Online are some games you didn't list.
I'm glad that we're still getting both linear and open games as both have their own advantages.
