Damn that music is epic. They should've used it in an official trailer.
"The Last of Us, God of War and Drive Club are being built into brand new VR experiences from the ground up."
Wait does this mean those games are being ported to PS4 VR. Or does that mean that they are working on VR sequels?
"Guerrilla Games is working on a unique first person Adventure RPG built from the ground up for VR and Sucker Punch once they wrapped up work on Infamous started work on something VR related."
I just h...
I can't believe nobody asked about a possible Shenmue HD collection in the Q&A session.
He didn't really ignore it. He said a little bit which was translated into: "dot, dot, dot" but it looked like it's something he wasn't allowed to speak about.
@pupa: What are you even talking about? I just stated that Titanfall wasn't released yet for clarity purposes since some people may have missed the fact that those numbers aren't from this week. Never have I said wether Titanfall is or will be a system seller or not.
"These apologetic excuses are becoming so sad!"
The sad thing is that you're jumping to wrong conclusions just because someone stated a neutral fact. I don't need to exp...
Most indie devs wouldn't have the money for licensing. You get a lot of advantages from buyin a licence though (including support from epic games). Since UDK is free anyway I think that might be a starting point for a lot of indie devs. I'm not really familiar with the Unreal Engine but I'm pretty sure that you don't get the source code with the free UDK.
20 bucks a month sounds like a great offer for indie devs if you get full access to the engine.

Titanfall wasn't even released yet.
I agree with him on having realistic expectations though. Some people might expect sci-fi movie-like VR. We're not quite there yet. This is just the beginning and a natural evolution and combination of tech that has become affordable to the mainstream audience.
Even though I'm maybe not as hyped for the Morpheus headset as some people here are I'm very interessted in what they can do with this tech. It's good to see the reaction is widely positive and I think the competition between the Oculus Rift and the Morpheus will benefit both vr headsets.
Even if VR doesn't get announced we still can hope for Shenmue.

You clearly have no idea how game development works. If they got the recources why wouldn't they use them?
Not sure if serious.
Edit: Nevermind. I first didn't realise it was you.
"Watch how second son is just going to be another overrated overhyped ps4 game."
Wow. Why don't you just buy a PS4? Then you won't have to hate on games that aren't coming to PC anymore. If you would be familiar with Sucker Punch's track record you would know that the chanes of Infamous Second Son being overrated or overhyped are vanishingly low.
I really like the idea of GG making a Starship Troopers game. My personal Dream Games would be:
1. Sin City by Digital Extremes - They showed with The Darkness 2 that they can make an awesome game based on a comic book.
2. Sherlock Holmes by Rocksteady studios - Somehow I think they would make a great Sherlock Holmes game.
3. Dark Tower (Stephen King) game by ?CD Projekt? - This will probably be impossible to make in a single game just bec...
That's probably why he said rarely and not never.
It really depends which method is being used. I was sceptical myself until I tried it. The motionflow on my Bravia is really good and actually really gaming friendly. Thoses features get better and better. I used it on Uncharted 2 and the added input lag wasn't really noticable at all. It made the game look so much better though.
I wouldn't use it in an online game though cause the input lag would add to the ping and you would be at a disadvantage.
Watch Dogs is a Cross gen title. If anything the PS3 and Xbox 360 are holding it back.
Edit: It's also the fact that they're developing the game for 6 platforms (PC, PS4, X1, Wii-U, PS3, Xbox 360) that probably forced them to make compromises. Most cross-gen titles turned out pretty bad and unoptimized on all platforms (BF4, CoD:G, Thief)
@mikeyy: "I speak for all pirates when I say we are not paying $60 for a 4 hour game."
That still doesn't mean it's ok to pirate the game. If you don't like what's being offered to you, don't buy the game. Simple as that.
That's an avarage of $100 per backer. The pressure must be huge on the devs to deliver an awesome game. I don't even want to imagine the shitstorm if this doesn't turn out great.
I'm not even sure if there are 5 good video game movies. Silent Hill is probably the best I've seen. Final Fantasy was ok. I can't believe that Street Fighter is on that list. It's one of the worst video game movies I've ever seen. Most characters have nothing to do with their video game equivalents. The plot has nothing to do with Street Fighter as well and they completely left out the special attacks. I mean it's like making a Superman movie and taking away all of S...
