@georgeenoob: Quality doesn't equal budget. AAA doesn't stand for quality. Some of the best last gen games have been indie games.
There are more AAA games availiable right now on X1 than on PS4 but that's probably gonna change soon when you're looking at the upcoming exclusives.
Correct me if I'm wrong but as far as I know Forza is the only first party AAA exclusive on X1 yet. Ryse, Dead Rising and Titanfall are all 3rd party exclusives....
It surely does look good. It's hard to judge how good it may end up though (for me personally) when the smoke comes out of nowhere. It would be great to see it used in a scene with fire or something like that.
I was really impressed with the Divisions smoke effects cause it was all integrated in a realistic scene.
It kinda throws me off with how far graphics have come when something doesn't seem right.
Cry Engine still looks really...
"Haze 2"
real???
I'm looking foreward to seeing Uncharted 3, Final Fantasy XV, Mirror's Edge 2 and Shadow of the Beast because we haven't seen much from those games yet. I'm also curious how Driveclub turned out since they have reworked a lot of the game.
If we count unannounced games I'd really like to see a God of War for PS4. I can't wait to see what Sony Santa Monica could do with the PS4. Other than that I'd like to see what Quantic Dream have been working on....
While I agree that no platform can compete with the PC when it comes to the amount of games released this list is somewhat misleading as it features alpha versions, beta versions, games that are already availiable on consoles, retro game rereleases, special editions and even tools (like Morphvox Pro or litecam 100 fps game capture).
It doesn't help that instead of the amount of games there is an immature comment about consoles in that pic.
I got up from Bronze 5 to Silver 1 in Season 3. Currently sitting at Gold 3 promo and while there are not as many afkers of feeders anymore the community still has a bad attitude in general.
Normally I get called a troll as soon as I pick something unconventional. Most people don't understand the importance of a good team comp and only counterpick their lane match-ups.
But the worst thing about the community in my opinion is that everyone blames someone ...
Nice. I'm a big fan of old school side scrolling beat 'em up games and will support any studio that keeps that genre alive. Guacamelee was an excellent game so this would be a no-brainer.
When did they ever say that they delayed it for the addition of VR functions?
Of course every game mechanic can be screwed up but as long as there is no indication of it happening I rather stay optimistic.
I also think that minor things like that won't be game breaking even if they aren't perfectly adjusted right away cause they are easily tweakable with an update.
You can only test so much as a dev when developing an MMO game cause you can't realistically simulate a server full of players.
That's like saying: I hope that the shooting feature won't be too annoying in that FPS.
Eating and drinking is an important part of surviving. You'll just eat and drink before going out scavenging or you'll take something with you. It's a survival game after all.
As for the pop up notification. Even if there is such a thing I'm sure you'll be able to turn it off. However I doubt something like this will be even implemented cau...
I agree if we're talking post Crash Bandicoot.
Have you played Rings of Power? If there is one bad Naughty Dog game it's probably that but to be fair that was 23 years ago.
You can't just switch between 1080p@30fps and 720p@60fps. Sure the pixel output is similar but at 60fps the CPU has a lot more work to do. Generally speaking doubling the framerate is harder to achieve than doubling the resolution.
We won't reach true photo realism anywhere soon. It's very possible that we won't reach it at all. The problem with photo realism is that it take a much bigger step in hardware to make an equally big step towards photo realism.
So if it needs ten times more powerful hardware to get from seventy to eighty percent photo realism it'll take a hundred times more powerful hardware to get from eighty to ninety percent next time (Those numbers are completely made u...
Why?
@joecanada: I completely agree. A handicap option should be in pretty much every skill based multiplayer game.
I'm a big fighting game fan for example and I tend to put a lot of effort to master at least a couple of characters. When some of my friends come to me we can't really play for fun when therer is no handicap option because either I lose on purpose or I win most of the time.
Watch Spinal Tap.
Experienced players will always have an edge over newbies in every game. Just like larger groups of people will have an advantage over loners. But that's how it is in real life as well. I like the fact that there is no level system though. It makes it easier for beginners.
The power it has over the PS3 and Xbox 360 is meaningless when it doesn't have the games to show it off. Not to mention that the Wii-U is competing with the PS4 and the Xbox One and not the PS3 and 360. Nintendo had this time frame between the Wii-U announcement and the launch of the PS4 and Xbox One to convince the people that the Wii-U is a worthy next-gen console and they failed at it.
You say that the tablet controller is great but as someone who doesn't have a ...
Do yourself a favour and don't start playing it with the expectation of it being the best game of the generation or something like that. I had super high expectations and that definately impacted my expirience with that game.
Yeah I could never choose one over another because they both represent pretty much the best of the best of it's genre for me.
There are times when I prefer FF6 and there are times when I prefer CT but I can't say which is the better game ultimately.
