This whole "article" is just quotes copy-pasted from Eurogamer with a bombastic headlines to troll for hits. It doesn't bring anything new
Yes, that was the whole point of my post.
Although they did develop Dues Ex since Eidos is now part of Square Enix.
Totally agree. Even in FEAR the developers mentioned how they "cheated" and used to their advantage the fact that the game consisted of lengty linear corridors with predetermined cover spots that are hard to flank. In open arenas the FEAR AI is pretty worthless.
Most shooters offer incredibly scripted and/or spawning AI. Stealth games are even worse (thief, MGS, Splinter Cell) where the whole AI effort is focused around patrol routes and sound detection but near zer...
Some of these look photorealistic, but some don't. In general, it's usually easiest to reach photorealism level with racing games, and especially in modes where only one high poly car model is loaded. GTA IV with mods, Dirt 3, Forza in autovista mode, and GT5 photo mode probably produce the most photorealistic screenshots. It's much harder to create a photorealistic face.
There is no problem with announcing DLC before a game is released, because nowadays it's quite obvious DLC will come without the need for any announcements.
Heck, a bigger problem lies in the fact that some company now offer to sell you the DLC before the actual game is released (see "season pass")
Damn hard choice! All these 5 games are potential AAA hits with good chances for respective GOTY awards in their genres (and perhaps even overall).
And that's without even 2nd tier games that might surprise us. October is shaping up to be a very busy month.
Tomb Raider
Thief
Hitman
Dues Ex
Just Cause 3
While SE is out of touch as a developer for over a decade, they demonstrated a very smart move by buying Eidos and capitalizing on some of their most successful franchises. If JC2 and Deus Ex Revolutions are a note of things to come, SE might actually rise from the ashes.
True.
also Agent. It's enough to know R* are developing an original exclusive IP to get people hyped.
Let's assume there was a gaming related problem. This brings up two questions:
1) How did the article writer conclude that it was a wide problem with the Xbox service and not with his connection/provider etc? No information was given on that
2) How the hell did he conclude that this issue happened because hackers are targeting MS and not because of some infastructure issue or some service upgrade or whatever? Again no answer.
don't feed the troll guys.
Or at least check th3cell comment history before you do.
Add to that list:
World in Conflict and Ground Control series (Massive)
Riddick, The Darkness (Starbreeze)
GTR and Race series (SimBin)
Penumbra, Amnesia (Frictional Games)
Hearts of Iron, King Arthur, Mount & Blade etc (Paradox)
Ilomilo, R-Type and Lode Runner XBLA remakes (SouthEnd)
Mirror's Edge (Dice)
Atcually, The entire Nordic game deveopment scene is pretty active (Norway, Sweden and Finland) and has some ...
Exactly. And I will add the Wesker from RE5 and probably 343 from Halo 3 instead of the one in Halo 2 (which was actually quite decent). The list also nails MGS2, Batman and Fable 2 which were all pretty disappointing (In Fable 2 you don't even have to kill the final boss).
The funny thing is, these are some of the finest games I played, and they managed to pull this with the crappiest boss fights.
So you're basically saying that if you aint last, you're first?
I love it how people always like to make themselves sound ignorant with remarks like "gears has maybe 2 animations for melee kills"
For your reference:
1 Original Gears of War Executions
1.1 Curb Stomp
1.2 Chainsaw Bayonet
2 Gears of War 2 Executions
2.1 Gears of War 2 Melee Attacks with the Lancer Chainsaw
2.1.1 Chainsaw from in Front
2.1.2 Chain-Sodomy
...
@Crazybone126, you are a true symbol of all that is wrong with the gaming community and N4G in particular: inability to accept the right for other people's opinion, too emotionally attached to games and get offended when the reviews don't turn out as you like, and show a juvenile sexist attitude towards women - including one who's done more for the gaming community then you ever will.
You can also transfer data using any USB flash/HDD/Memory card, or you can wait for the cloud save which is supposed to arrive this fall. It's good to have options.
Funny, this is exactly what I explained in response to the trollbait article from gamerblorge:

This is just how MegaTextures work. Changing the texture resolution for a megatexture will have too much of an impact, and the whole purpose of the tech is to stream high res textures with no hassle.
Out of the three mentioned actors in the title, one is Swedish, one is Canadian and only one is American. At least do your homework first.
@Evildead360:
You don't understand - MGS4 has CUTSCENEZ.
Watching cutscenes is complex stuff! It's not a dumb activity like playing an interactive game or god forbid reading a book. Watching a cutscene is a mind bogging activity that stimulates all your senses and requires you to be 100% focused to be able to cope with! That's why stuuuupid games like Portal who were made for a wide demographic of uneducated hillbillies didn't incorporate any cutscenes into the...
I was thinking the exact same thing when I read into the list. Silent Hill: Downpour and Ace Combat but no Dark Soul!? List fails.
Dark Souls tops my own personal list together with Batman and Forza. And then it's a big choice between Battlefield and Rage (I rather focus on one FPS at a time).
