Of course it makes us sad - knowing that we'll have to shell out some money to be able to run this amazingly looking game at max settings.
I tend to remove from my friends list people who are pathological liars.
HHG is no different, and I AdBlocked his entire domain so I won't even be tempted or mistakenly click a link believing that it's actually coming from a reputable source.
Surprise surprise... The harocore gamers who bought a gaming console for hundreds of dollars actually prefer to play games and not aimlessly traverse virtual second-life like world?
Do websites still try to decypher tweets and cast it as news? People just don't learn...
This looks like a simple Imagemetric's Faceware PR article.
Fact is, most of the best games already use this exact same tech for facial animation: be it Red Dead, Assassins Creed, Halo: Reach and God of War.
Bungie is a key partner of Imagemetrics, so they usually get their hand on these tools earlier then other developers (Halo Reach already used Faceware tech in the pipeline, and this was one of the reasons why its animations were so fluid compared to other game...
@gamingdroid you got it wrong, at least the panel part: LG are using the same panels as Philips (and are probably the biggest manufacturers of TV panels in the world). Samsung and Sony share a different panel technology. At least where it comes to LCD TVs
This is the main reason why Sony/Samsung only sell 40" LCD TVs and LG/Philips only sell 42" TVs - each pair of companies have their own tech.
Maybe LG just didn't know about the patent infringements because they had no idea how the internals of the PS3 worked...
... well, at least until the PS3 was hacked and now it's easy to reverse engineer. Interesting, huh? ;)
Don't bet on it. I think that some hackers wrote to sony the exact same "ITS IN MY LIVING ROOM AND U CANT TAKE IT BACK. " letter, and then they were raided by the German Police...
War from darksiders beats them all in terms of pure badassy of course. Because if he's here - it means that the apocalypse is coming and all of them are doomed already.
Unless.... unless someone tricked him and the 7th seal was broken prematurely. NNOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

I think they mistake the word "evolving" with "dying".
Why do these websites even pass the N4G filters!? It's a bad
Yes - 6 multiplayer maps in a shooter is a disgrace. Even 8 maps in a 60$ game is a disgrace, as it can get real old real fast (especially if some are only playable in large team battles and some are only for small teams).
But at no point was Gears 3 confirmed to include only 6 maps (and as you can see the site doesn't make any references). 6 *NEW* maps were REVEALED, but even on an earlier...
@ lodossrage
Wait, are you actually saying that both Ratchet and Resistance series will find their way to the Xbox since "the publishing notion doesn't mean anything"?
I wouldn't make any assumptions on any exclusive game losing exclusivity since we don't know what the deal is. What happens with future games is irrelevant since IPs can always be sold to another publisher.

But Arkham runs on UE3... At least be consistent with your comments.
I clicked on the twitter photo. Guess what? The only BS I saw is the one in the aformentioned theplaystation.com website. I Don't know who's responsible for posting this lame "article" here, and I don't know who's the writer that completely lacks and reading comprehension and can't even interpret a twitter post properly - but I don't really care.
The only proper steps one should be taking now is:
1) Click on theplaystation.com below "read...
I don't know. I'm trying Alan Wake on the PC and still get that darned "DISC IS MISSING" error. Maybe in 2012?
Bulletstorm, Arkham City, Gears 3, Mass Effect 3, The new Mortal Kombat...
It's already 2011 and it seems that Epic are still at the top of their game. The unreal engine keeps iterating and improving, and new titles running with the latest version all seem amazing from previews - easily competing with the best looking games on the market.
Kudos to Epic for raising the royalties threshold to 50K. 5K was too low, but if now indie devs know that they can coup up to 5...
I think that because you misinterpret "compression" as "loss of quality":
ZIP files for example are compressed. Do you lose anything from your Word document of from your TIFF image once you compress it in a zip file and then extract it?
You should only be concerned if the compression affects the final quality - of textures for example. But since consoles have a relatively low video memory, you can't have the top quality textures in the first pl...
I don't understand why people are complaining here: it's free, it doesn't require you to buy anything (you don't need to pay for a gold account to get this!), and it's actually supporting the indie games community because most people will just use these 80 points to buy a decent indie game (I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES!!!1, Shoot 1UP, The Impossible Game and Breath of Death VII are a few excellent games for the money)
Maybe you misunderstood me:
When people buy a gaming PC, they might also like internet browsing and chat room and whatnot.
When people buy Xbox, they might also like watching movies.
But that's not the main reason why they bought it, right? They bought it for the games (Well, at least I don't know anyone who ran to the store and bought an Xbox for twitter or facebook or even ESPN).
So it doesn't take a genius to understand that TAH KILLER A...
