With 15 pages of games listed in Metacritic, the X360 seems to have the most number of games this gen:
http://www.metacritic.com/b...
PS3 has 11 pages listed, DS has 10 pages, Wii has 9 pages, and the PSP has 6. Infact, it is closing pretty fast on the 16 pages of games listed on the PS2:

I found the sandbox in Crysis 1 lacking much more mainly because of the uninteresting AI. Crysis 2 AI still has a way to go, but it made the sandbox combat much more interesting in my opinion (even with the relatively smaller arenas).

I actually buy most of my games on Amazon nowadays. The sales and prices seem to always beat Steam and any other digital distribution service (GMG, Impulse, D2D etc). Amazon also separates the sale from the service: You buy the game there, but then either direct download it DRM free or use any service the game is using (steam, origin, whatever)

But yeah, as a service Steam still seems to be better than most other alternatives.

Exactly. Well said!

I don't think anyone got overly hyped by the visuals on the trailer, perhaps just slightly by some of the change of settings.
It is in fact the information that started dripping about the side quest structure of the game that seems like this game will be a fresh of breath air on the series.

@Regent_of_the_Mask.

Witcher 2 as a terrible port? Considering the fact the port is one of the best looking console games (and surpassing even many PC games in the aesthetics), and even includes some improvements over the original version - then I'd like to know what your high standards for a non-terrible port are.

On topic: Torchlight nailed the control scheme on consle, no reason Diablo 3 can't achieve the same.

Indeed, and in turn CDProject could learn a thing or two (or ten) from Bethesda. No single developer excels at everything, but both of these companies are at the top of their game

From purely beneficial reasons I have no idea why someone would choose not to have Magus in the team. Exp points for the battle perhaps? It seems negligible considering the alternative

#ShinMaster
His comment about MS VS Sony WAS just about new IPs:
"When xbox fans think of a new xbox its the same , thinking of a handful of games"
VS
"When majority of Sony fans think of a new Sony gaming system, they think of a lot of new ips and sequels to many Sony ips"

And this is obviously not true, and the IPs I listed just prove this point. Besides, I'd like to hear any fan saying that they're only looking fo...

@StrongMan,
Forza 4 was pretty much on Par with Forza 3 sales wise in the first year. Microsoft tends to bundle Forza in a hardware promotion in the second year (plus you usually get the ultimate edition will all the DLC) so this spikes sales.

The same thing happened with Forza 3 back then when people who fail to grasp the concept of time claimed how it's a dramatic fall from Forza 2 when comparing half a year sales to a total lifetime sales of 3 years. But in the...

@InTheLab, are you seriously ok? Almost every second Xbox exclusive game offers local multiplyaer: From big games like Halo and Gears, to third parties like SC:Conviction and L4D, to adventure games like Kameo (any similar game with co-op that you know of?), to arcade games like the the upcoming Minecraft and tons of other examples.
Some of these games even have a PC version which EXCLUDES local co-op, so how can you say that MS is eliminating this element where in reality is seems li...

Sorry to burst your bubble Akuma, but Microsoft pretty much abandoned most of their franchises from last gen with the exception of just a select few (Halo, PGR, Fable, Forza - the last two actually appearing only near the end of the console generation).

Just a reminder about some of the new IPs Microsoft published this generation:
- Gears of War
- Mass Effect
- Kameo
- Viva Pinata
- Blue Dragon
- Lost Oddysey
- Too Human...

@Gamer3000:
Did you read my entire post? My main issue with LOT was that they missed many important aspects in their face-off- both on the PS3 and the X360 side.
But other than that, the main X360 issue (which was basically a bug) that was highlighted in DF was fixed as well, so it's not really a tie anymore. Pop in both games and see for yourself - the many PS3 issues (which are not bugs but performance/capability issues) are still there on the other hand.
Hope i...

The engine is actually improved in each iteration, while still not compromising and going 30fps.
And there is just about one FPS that actually supports 60fps and looks better: RAGE, which was in development for over half a decade. Other developers don't even try to aim this high.

Pop music also produced singers from Madonna to Adele - both of which were highly acclaimed by the professional media.
Just like COD, they are BOTH popular and considered very good by the professional review, and just like COD, there's a minority which gets overly emotional about their source of admiration , so when something popular eclipses it they develop hatred towards that thing.

Comparing to Justin Bieber should be something that is reserved to games like: p...

Batman while awesome is not really a new game franchise (only a new developer who finally came up with a good game), and Darksiders had just one iteration so far so it's still not a "series".

But L2D is valid, and I'll definitely mention Valve's own Portal as well as Volition's Saint Row and MediaMolecule LBP alongside it. The rest of their list is pretty good I have to admit

Regarding the Fallout NV, actually it's quite far from a tie if you look at the more professional DF review. The lensoftruth calculations are actually wrong if you do the maths yourself, and it was quite shallow and superficial overall:

The main issue with the X360 was the textures, which was later fixed with a patch (just like fallout 3...

You are aware than you can buy mobile phones unlocked and with no subscription, right?

The subscription option is only relevant for
people who don't wish to pay for the phone in advance, and obviously it costs more over time.
But you still have both options, so what's the problem with that?

I wanted to say the exact same but then noticed he has GTA V in there.
Sorry, but as much as I'm waiting to see how the HL story continues (especially after the E2 cliffhanger ending), it's Rockstar all the way for me - especially when talking about a new Grand Theft Auto game.

But seeing both E3/HL3 and GTA V in the same E3 conference? That would be too good to be true. Don't think the conference can handle so much awesomeness.
