Where exactly? That would be most funny to read... assuming you can back this.

Anyway, I don't know why anyone would have hoped for this game to be a killer up. It always did look like a Harry Potter clone with move controls on a tight budget (And I expect Fable: The Journey to suck about just as much)

No Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare? Should be right there at the top. Lair of the Shadow Broker for Mass Effect 2 was also top notch.

Rockstar DLC in general usually gives you more content in their DLC pieces than most 60$ full fledged games. This alone is worth putting up with all the crap DLC rolling around - especially since nobody forces you to buy it.

The thing that uncharted did do is mash up the platforming-action-puzzle structure of Tomb Raider with the cover based shooting of Gears. Yes, not a single new idea, but an excellent mould of other ideas - and this is something we never saw before Uncharted.

The Last of Us doesn't look like uncharted but it does look again like a mix of other gameplay ideas: Resident Evil, I am Alive, etc.

Just click on his name and report him. It seems like a multiple account created for spamming people - I see this every once in a while, probably by someone who's bubbles went down to 1 and was already blocked by most people.

It would be neat if N4G displays IP addresses attached to accounts. I'm pretty sure we'll see some funny results.

Yes... but with heavy emphasis on platforming.

Platformers are a sub genre after all: Mario, Metroid and Ratchet for example are action/action-adventure games sub-categorized as platformers. Mario can shoot fireballs, right?

"supports DX11, they managed to port Unreal Engine 4 on it"

This alone makes the whole rumor sounds like a scam. DX11 is a Microsoft developed API solely for their products. If anything, it would have supported OpenGl or some other interface based on it.

The only credibility ruined is the one of the raging nerds themselves.
And perhaps the people going to MC and actually look at user review scores. It's like going to financial sites and making your investments based on the anonymous comments at the bottom of the page....

So you have a problem with a developer that gets a big bonus if they made a high quality game? This is how things should work in the first place to encourage quality...
What it worst, you somehow relate this point to stuff like DRM and used games!? That's some really bad logic right there.

This deal also doesn't have and "shadiness" in the game being exclusive: they're not getting any money from Microsoft and that is pretty much on the contract. ...

I'd argue to sat that since Metacritic not just a gaming aggregate, the average people (at least the ones who consume content) do know what it is, just like imdb and rottentomatoes.

What it seems to me is that it's more like subpar writers don't know what a good score is - claiming that a game is not supposed to sell well with a metacritic of 88!? Are they out of their mind!?

Check this out:
"Sub-90% is normally the kiss of death for ...

This is just sad: Crappy writers in examiner are once again taking days old articles from other sources (admitting it themselves), quote a few phrases, and give a purposely misleading headline for hits.
This site should be blacklisted from N4G if we want to up the quality of the content here. How did this get approved in the first place?

"Instead of requiring a hall's worth of space to function properly, Leap creates a personal workspace of four cubic feet, which is roughly the amount of space you have as you sit in front of your desktop PC or Mac."

Is this some kind of a joke? Does anyone think Sony is planning to launch the PS4 alongside small desktop monitors!? How can someone sitting in a living room use this confine space for playing?

64bit Leaving consoles behind? Right... Welcome to the year 1996.
Thanks to backward-compatabilities concerns, the PC world was stuck on 32-bit processing for far longer than consoles. Hell, to these date we still use the decades old X86 architecture.

How can someone say 3D platformers are dying when technically some of the top games incorporate heavy platforming mechanics: From Tomb Raider and Prince of Persia to Uncharted and Assassins Creed and Crackdown or even the very recent I Am Alive.
Sure, these games are also about either shooting, hack-n-slashing or other mechanics, but the platforming is still there. After all, even Mario wasn't *just* a platforming game - especially the later games in the series that incorporated m...

What!? This contract is sheer briliance from Bungie side: Most importantly they retain the IP, they get all the funds they need, the get a bonus if the games gets a good score and they get a good share of the profits from each game and expansion while not risking their own money.
This contract is a dream contract for a developer (assuming you can deliver)! The whole reason is was exposed in court was because ex-IW heads wanted to show the jury how much more generous the Bungie contrac...

But latency didn't drop since the ninetees: electrons traveled and still do travel close to the speed of light. If anything the overall latency actually increased in some cases thanks to non-CRT monitors producing more lag, home wireless connections also introducing more lag, wireless mouse/keyboard/gamepad etc.

It's just the bandwidth that increased tenfold since then. But lest not forget that Quake was also every effective with compact messages g...

Actually, I'm kind of hoping that after the release of Minecraft the indie channel will move to newer and fresher ideas.
At first we've seen stupid apps flood the place, then avatar games, then zombie shooters, and then minecraft clones. It's time for a new trend.
