Whatever makes you happy. I guess it beats killing boobs while staring at terrorists...
So far I learned that while IW COD releases are getting weaker since the first MW, Treyarch are actually gradually improving ever since COD3. They're still not at the IW level of quality (or at least where it used to be), but the new semi-futuristic settings will hopefully do good for them.
At least they give you the option to carry get rid of the bodies. As much as I liked Conviction I really missed that feature in the game.
Really? Because I do this on almost a daily basis. There are so many more local multiplayer games this gen that we always have to argue which one to play.
"The build and battle system is something totally unique to online gaming on PS3."
Well, Brutal Legend actually did something similar. But it was a H&S, not a shooter
Here's some troll science that will show you how to get rich quickly:
* Buy Xbox 4Gb + Kinect = 99$
* Hack console, log in to xbox live, get console banned = 0$
* Terminate monthly payments because Microsoft banned your console and therefore ended the contract (not a breach of contract) = 0$
* Sell useless Kinect peripheral to a casual mom = -100$ ("I know I said 99$ ma'am, but I have no change)
Total costs: 99$ - 100$ = -1$
And yet, the four games you mention (Crysis 2, Rage, Halo, Alan Wake) are still four of the best looking console games to date. The best looking games always tend to be overhyped.
You can set the expectations too high (mostly thanks to fanboys and media) and then it will be impossible to deliver - Killzone 2 CGI trailer as a prime example - but it still doesn't change the fact that the game looks exceptionally good.
But PM left before Fable The Journey was even released. I'd understand your comment if you compared Uncharted 3 to Fable III, but this comparison just doesn't make any sense.
I saw a screenshot in Eurogamer today and for a minute there I thought this was the God of War level in Playstation All-Stars. It took me a few seconds to understand I'm actually looking at GOW multiplayer.
Wow, you just joined N4G 4 hours ago and you already call another member of the community an idiot with a completely off topic message.
Another troll account I guess? What happened, did you lose all your bubbles on the original account after making educated and oh-so-relevant Xbox console sales remarks on articles dealing with PS3 games?
On topic, I was expecting to see Kingdoms of Amalur on this list - one of the finest games I played in 2012. On the PSN sid...
It is about the genre.
Capcom's Power Stone rivals Smash Bros and is probably the best game in the genre alongside it, and it has a completely unknown roster of characters.
So while MS might be able to come up with a big roster of familiar characters, it is quite worthless without proper gameplay to back it up. And on the other hand a game with anonymous cast of characters which is good enough on its own merits (again: Power Stone) can easily top average games tha...
Kaveti6616 pretty much nailed it with Sony taking ages to release announced games, while the fanboys keep putting these games in their GOTY list every year. But I should probably blame myself more than everyone else for jumping on the hype train.
The funny story is that I myself originally purchased my PS3 after being hyped about Rockstar and Team Ico releasing exclusive games to the PS3. Those are the only games I originally cared for thanks to how much I loved their games i...
It's hard to nail both in a shooter, but Halo does that switch amazingly for vehicle/turret control. Past ghost recon titles also offered similar 3rd/1st person switch when in cover aiming.
You can always count on the internet to prove you wrong when you think boobs got bigger
MS also had Small Arms this gen. I still don't see why people bring up the same "what if" question again and again without realizing that SB clones are already available, and that it is not the roster that matters most but rather the quality of the game itself.
You pretty much nailed it. Don't know why people still raise this as a possibility.
Although the Arbiter could be technically black if there was such a thing among the elites. He's voiced by Keith David after all :)
@vulcanproject,
This only matters if the only thing you care for is smooth and jagless gameplay on top of everything else. In that, your game of choice on consoles this generation should probably be the Perfect Dark remake running at 1080p60 with fine MSAA. But what about the rest of the stuff? It's simply an ugly and static 5th generation game.
Halo Reach temporal AA had some issues, but not more than other games with QSAA, TAA of MLAA each bringing the inherit f...
Made it just fine through about 50% of the game - that's how I played from the start. The only times where this didn't work was when other enemies were scattered in far away places and shot me while knifing another AI.
But The AI inability to act on close proximity threats is a plain fail. Every time I had only one enemy left to fight with the process became a cakewalk because they simply could not retaliate.
Try running towards enemy with a knife in Killzone 2. You will then probably see how stupid they are and how the "Teamwork" smoke and mirrors falls apart. They just can't properly cope with melee.
@MiamiACR21, I can see where your mistake might be coming from: you think they take the new IW engine each time a MW game is released.
But ever since WAW they Treyarch engine branched out from the IW engine, so effectively this new engine is a summation of 2 years of work on the previous BlackOps engine.
There's actually a huge advantage for this kind of proccess: while the engines branched out, it is still relatively easy to port new features from one branch to t...
