No, It's not turnbased.
But you fight in a separate environment á la ff and many other jrpgs.

That's a great score! :)
Now, if we only would get a new decent Phantasy Star-iteration from Sega on ps3/360, in the same spirit as 2 and 4, the circle would be completed. Those games were much more of a challenge than the ff's in the 16-bit era. :D

Props should go to Platinum Games for Mad World though since they're the ones making it, as well as Bayonetta.
Sega's just the publisher... an awesomeryu publisher that is.

I think their analogy with God of War is kinda wonky.
SCE Santa Monica Studios is a part of Sony and SCE as a corporation.
As for Epic, it's an independent third party developer.

For me, gameplay-wise, MadWorld looks like a spiritual successor of God Hand, should make it an insta-buy for anyone. Which makes it odd it's going to be played with the wii-mote.
Skillwise, it has to be dumbed down a lot for this imo. God Hand was a really hardcore game which forced you to be on your guard all the time, I don't really see the same thing when you play it with waggle.

Platinum should at least add support for classic gamecube controllers for this title.

Coming from edge, that's a great score,
They gave God of War 2 a 7 as well if I remember correctly

It's Gaia.

People who've bought Vista fair and square should have the option for an update of the OS to Windows 7, imo.

When games that rely on creations made by the gamer him-/herself succeed, they become something completely different in levels of awesomeness. Look at elastomania for instance, great game, but it's the huge following that made it great... that, and it takes some insane skills for some levels. :P

It's a trick question.
The correct answer would be Black Isle.

"All I want is a traditional JRPG but with next gen graphics and I'd be set."

I fullheartedly agree with you on that point. :)

King's field was made in 1994, even though it was made after TES: Arena I bet my sweet ass they took a lot of inspiration from King's Field when they made Daggerfall.

It's a spiritual successor to King's Field.

I really would have wanted this ported to ps2. :(

As much as I like the 360, the XMB easily is a superior way to navigate a system of this manner... looks really slick as well.

Does anyone know if sony have implemented the XMB in other hardware devices besides PSP, PS3 and the PS-X,(Like HD-TVs for instance)?

Oh, God. Please please please let there be a ps2-port. :D

Import the PAL-version, the machine is region-free after all.
I think a lot of people outside Europe will be really happy because of this when FFXIII hits the trenches of Europe.

6217d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

I think they might release all the extra secrets amd awesomeness we Europeans get in FF-games via DLC outside PAL-Land.
But knowing how much Squeenix likes cash they'll just release some kind of international-version a year later at full retail price.

I feel bad for all the people that never played a version of ffX with the Dark Aeons, they made the game much much harder and AwesomeX2.
Not to forget the Weapons-bosses in FFVII that some missed out on.
I wish mor...

I really doubt it, they're not the kind of news paper that get review copies for games. I mean, they're big here in Sweden but not big with gaming related media.
They review games about once every second month, and then it's just like five games that gets reviewed and each with 5-10-lines of text and a grade next to it.

Göteborgs Postens gaming reviews are rather.... well, I don't know how to put it, inadequate.
It's more like they describe the setting of the game and don't talk about what they liked or did not like... at all.
I feel like they should have discussed a little more about what the game actually was like. I mean, What's the point of writing a review without any meat on the bones and just sticking a grade to it.

Fyi, GP doesn't do half-grades. it's 1 to 5, as simple a...
