I like the API support, but based on rumor specs, 25 gbps memory bandwidth? We have 4K TVs out with MS and Sony doing mid cycle hardware refresh because of the lack of power and Nintendo going with a chipset almost two years old with the memory bandwidth of the now ten years old PS3. I know tech is not everything and its a rumor but damn I smell WiiU all over again.
Probably more like $600 or less, keep in mind the mighty 7970 was going for $270 by the fall 2013 at it's cheapest. Make a cut down version of that card with 15-1700 cores, and 256 bit interface to reduce the price. I don't see the 7900 series adding more than $100. While some were sold for less than $300 in the fall of 2013, they cost nowhere near the mark to manufacture.
If MS and Sony would have went high end for the time (3-4.5 TFLOPS) there wouldn't be a need for Neo or Scorpio until 2018-19. I somewhat knew this would happen when I first saw the specs. I didn't think they were high enough to sustain this generation like the last. Same with Nintendo, all three releasing new or upgraded consoles because the original lacked horse power, or extremely deficient in areas last gen was not.
My performance is consistently above 100 FPS on my OC AMD 290. Unfortunately, my save files became corrupt after the update. I tried Dev mode, removing the save, .users save files, and syncing my previous saved file from Steam cloud saves, no dice, corrupt file. I was only about 40 percent done, but that's 4-5 hrs wasted with some levels being a real pain the ass.
Xbox Neo? Wrong code name, but excellent article
The game hitches more, looks better, but certainly more hitching which goes away when you re enable resolution upscaling. I found 1600X900P with upscaling, and film grain turned off, shadows set to medium with filter set to high (The rest high or ultra) offered the best experience for my rig (5930K, and 290 OC). I can't confirm the frame rates, afterburner FPS counter does not work on Windows 10 games I've tested.
I think it's been obvious MS went too conservative on their hardware. Sony as well, but they were smart enough to use GDDR 5 to provide enough bandwidth for mostly 1080p gaming. Unsurprisingly both companies have mentioned upgrading their hardware less than two in half years into their current cycle. I still pre ordered QB to receive the PC version so I'm covered with 1080p. I just hope MS, and Sony ditch AMD APU design, it's currently not working for AMD, and barely works for the...
Damn, not played KI in awhile, will have to get back on my grind next month.
Nothing I really wanted on Steam this year I didn't already own. Just picked up $60 in DLCs for various games, and called it good.
I received Batman AK on the PC when MSI shipped my defective 980TI video card. It played decent on the 980TI, tried it on my AMD R9 290 and it ran like shit. I think I pulled 48 FPS which is ok, but it stuttered like hell except for indoors. After the last update in early September I think, my AMD 290 pulled 84 FPS, and now plays smooth besides the driving sections. I took back my 980TI, overkill for 1080P gaming, plus it ran hot, and caused crashes in Battlefield, and The Witcher 3.
I'm with you DVACME! I've had cancer kill 4 people I knew in the last 7 months from 29 to 60. Liver cancer also killed my grandmother at 56 back in the 90's after she beat her battle with breast cancer. Very brutal disease that comes out of nowhere for most people. You see all of these damn thugs, bad cops, and terrorist walking around killing people healthy as they can be. SMH, horrible lost to the gaming community.
I was looking at Nintendo Direct earlier this year and thought he looked thin in his body. Iwata face looked normal, but if you look at his shoulders, arms, and chest, he looked abit frail. May he RIP, but damn talk about being surprised about his passing.

He's legit! I averaged 90 FPS benchmarking Batman AK on my MSI 980TI using Intel 5930K CPU,with both processors overclocked. Batman still stutters when on the ground level and when you start flying for a little bit, but that's about it.
@IrishSt0ner
Yeah, for what it's worth the XB1 keeps up reasonably well considering the GPU and memory bandwidth difference. I don't see this generation lasting as long as the previous. I was still impressed with the PS3 graphics until 2013 with Beyond 2 Souls looking next gen. This generation I've not seen too many titles the first two years or so that made my jaw drop. Drive Club, and Ryse are the only games I own that made my draw drop. The new game Horizon from ...
I really think Sony and MS went way too light on the CPUs. I love the RAM, the GPUs are not that bad, especially the PS4 beast GPU. If I'm not mistaken the PS4 CPU is actually slower than the PS3 in some aspects, with XB1 being overall faster that the X360. Just seem like a step backwards to pair mid to high end GPUs with low end embedded PC type CPUs.
It looks closer to Top end Gamecube and Xbox (The original) graphics.
Not only is it easier, USB 3.0 is faster than the SATA 2 connector inside the PS4. I'm using Crucial M500 480GB SSD in conjunction with my XB1 internal storage. My PS4 still has 285 GBs left, no need to upgrade just yet. When the time come, I will just throw my 1 TB WD Black backup drive in my PS4. Not going to waste time using SSDs on my PS4 SATA2 connector.
Amazing this interview didn't get any trolls saying its not true, developers don't know what they're talking about.
Halo 5 just does not feel like previous Halo MP games, something I don't like. You seem to die quicker in Halo 5 compared to previous Halo games, a lot like CODAW complete with boost jumps and dashes. I own the Halo MCC, along with CODAW, when I play Halo 4 or 3 MP it feels like previous Halo games with updated graphics, play types, and weaponry. Go back to Halo 5 and for the love of Phil Spencer I can't shake the feeling I'm playing CODAW with the Halo skin pack in 720P.

If true I'm glad AMD CPUs are back in the game, I usually build systems with AMD 8320/70 for relatives, and stick to Intel for myself. I'm currently stuck on Intel's 5930K CPU, I want to upgrade, but I'm paying double the money at over $1000 for a CPU maybe 20 percent faster. Since I already have 32 GBs of DDR ram, it's cheaper to buy AMD 1700X with a mid range board for $600 or less. Add another $100 and I'm at the 1800X CPU beating matching, or exceeding Intel's ...
