I just tried it on my 6700XT and dropped my 1800P FPS from 100 to 20 FPS. Set my resolution to 2172X1224P with RT and got 34 FPS using AMD control panel FSR upsampled to 4K. Wasn't really that impressed so I turned it back off. Not worth the performance degradation for a tiny improvement in reflections when Hitman's Render to Texture along with SSR were already great.
When you take into account PGR 3 launched with up to 100K per car back in 2005, 500K just doesn't blow me away, rather hear about shading techniques, how much ram does it each car take up? Polygon counts are overrated at a certain point. GT Club had 250K per car, Project Cars 2 up to 300K per car, I think Forza 4 had 175K per car, stuff within ball park range of the last two last gen. If your motherboard supports it turn on Smart Access Memory or Resizable Bar depending on your platform. Most people don't test with sidebar on but on my 6700XT it can get me up to 60 FPS at 3360X1890 using a mix of high/ultra settings. With that said, I play multiple player on PC, and currently playing the Single Player on my XSX. Sp plays better on my XSX connected to my OLED and look just as nice if not better due to Dolby Vision on my LG G1 than my PC connected to my Sony 900E 4K set....

I'm with you, I tried FC5, Tomb Raider, and Home Front Evolution. TR looked good, barely if any resolution drop. FC5 turned FPS off after 45 mins. Distance object lost too much detail, and if you like shimmering graphics FPS boost is right for you. Home Front looked too damn muddy, yes it played better but the muddy visuals left much to be desired. I can't deal with muddy visuals, I don't care how smooth it feels.
What PS5 VS XSX game has a 3-5X load advantage over XSX? I would expect 4-6 second load on XSX in similar load point. Look at DMC load comparison using the RE Engine. It was just a second faster.
DLSS looks almost as good as 4K. I say 1800P equivalent in distance detail, but with better clarity in near object detail. Distance grass looks muddier and a bit fuzzy using DLSS in the mid to background. Looking at plants and grass near the player DLSS looks better near field. In motion you probably won't notice a very slight degrade in distance detail. The FPS in the case of DLSS is worth engaging for a minor lost in detail distance detail.
I played CP2077 last night and they made it worst. The pop in on a decent 3800X, Samsung 970 EVO, and RTX 2070 rig looks worst than XB360 games. I think GTA4 pop in is better than CP2077.
