There's almost always an hardware shortage, they just leak this crap to get more sales. I did this crap back when I was selling door to door services, its called the JIFS.
Thanks! I'm seriously thinking about cancelling my PS4 order. The only problem I'm not guaranteed an next gen console this year if I do. Sony got me with the PS4 hype, after sitting back and looking at the games in the next 6 months I can honestly say the XB1 has a couple more games I want. Now when Sony start releasing my favorites in God of War, and Uncharted it might be an whole different story.
So which is it? 32 MB cache at 204 GBs or 47 MBs at 204 GBs? Seeing different numbers, but anyway more is always better even if the cache is only 32-47 MBs.
I see MS has been making some hardware improvements since XB1 was announced.
And people wonder why game companies fail
I got the day one launch which I will probably sell for $850 depending on demand after seeing some of Sony's launch titles.
@Neonridr
Its coming up on two years old but my question is what's your point? Its common knowledge all next gen consoles are using variations of older AMD GPUs with some being an generation or two behind others. Any who never played with AMD 7800, went with Nvidia GTX 670 instead. Looking to upgrade when AMD release their 9000 series after seeing Nvidia latest graphics cards and price.
Of course but its not like The Crew is drawing the whole US in detail onscreen at the same time. This game started development on the X360 and PS3 for crying out loud.
Could it be Sony is lying about their console power again like they did the PS1, PS2, and PS3 (2 TFLOPS anyone)?
Can't wait to get it on the PC!
Seem abit low for a game that look like this crap. Not impressed with the crew given how Forza 5 looks at 1080P and 60 FPS. I know its open world but this game from what I've seen could have been done on the PS3.
Wow I didn't think I had to explain it but here you go. My comment about DX 10 level capabilities is not software. I'm referring to the Wii U GPU being an DX10 class GPU or Open GL 3.2 if you want to go that route. It was design to performed task related to DX 10.1 or below. Based on reported and rumored specs the Wii U GPU seem to be at AMD 4600 GPU level, an DX 10.1, Open GL 3.2 based card. PS4 on the other hand is something similar to AMD 7850 based GPU, DX 11.1 with Open GL 4.2 su...
I figured the Wii U GPU was only DX10 level contrary to all the claims people on N4G made about it being DX11.
I pre ordered the PS4 from the hype. Looking back on it there's not a whole lot of games I want that's been announced yet. I know Uncharted, God of War, and probably an Last of US remake or part 2 will put the PS4 on top, but its launch window games I'm not interested in any besides Madden which is on the XB1 as well.
XB1 on the other hand has Killer Instinct, and Forza 5 both games I have been waiting for, Titan fall looks good as well but I can get just get that...
I'm debating on cancelling my PS4 pre order and seeing if I can get and XB1. Or I can sell my PS4 for $800 and almost have enough both.
Its been first place in the worlds biggest market for almost 3 years now. I say that's something to be proud of if I was MS. The PS3 is in last place in the worlds biggest market but that's debatable since the Wii fad died over two years ago and fast becoming faded memory.
@Deadpoolio
Its first place in the worlds biggest video market. 2nd/3rd place is debatable since Nintendo has thrown in the towel already with the Wii and now focused on the Wii U after almost 3 years of declining sales. Heck even first place is debatable, only a couple of hundred thousand units behind the PS3 so its not like its a big lead.
I hated my ATi 3870 as well, no issues regarding crashes but it was so slow in DX10 games, DX9 it performed decent. I have owned the following graphics cards listed below, some I upgraded because of slow performance and missing features, some died, others either ran too hot or too loud with no or limited aftermarket cooling.
AMD/ATI
ATI 9000 Pro
ATI 9700 Non Pro
ATI AIW800
ATI X1800 XT
ATI 3870
ATI 4870
AMD 6970
...
Sorry my card is still high end, using Nvidia GTX 670 overclocked to 1300 boost clock. I'm looking to go back to AMD after having so many driver issues with Nvidia after all my friends claimed they got their crap together. But like I said paying $600 for one of the newest high end video cards I don't see the return on investment since I upgrade about every 18 months.
True but didn't the PS2 have 16 pipelines compared to the Xbox 4? The PS3 continuing changing specs from 24,20,16, and now 8 ROPS compared to the X360 8? Historically Sony systems has always had more ROPs, and higher fill rates than their competition so I don't the ROPs being that big of a deal.
Now the 50% shader cores is where the PS4 is going to separate itself from XB1. 3rd generation software is usually about the time developers get down to the metal and start pr...
