Fix Nintendo of Japan by getting rid of their hardware R&D and start recruiting Sony's talent.
Yeah allot big hits coming out this year, hell I still have a crap load of games I've not finished yet like Bioshock Infinite, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 6, God of War Ascension, Hitman Absolution, and Far Cry 3. Darksiders 2, and LA Noire not even installed, too many games and not enough time with my work schedule.
I don't think I've seen MGS5 look crappy at all from all the videos and screenshots. Always been a big MGS fan so the wait for this game is killing me. But right now I have so many games I need to beat its probably good MGS5 does not come out until next year.
Based on rumored specs of the Wii U being around 340 GFLOPS 4-5 times seem about right. I say if Nintendo fails to sale 10 million in two years and software sales are flat a new system will be announced by year 3.
Agree, old Don Hattrick got too caught up in copying Nintendo he forgot what audience he's selling to. Its been all good since his departure, spec increase, got rid of those idiotic policies, and now MS just need to release some awesome games!
More doom and gloom for the mighty Nintendo! Nintendo is not going anywhere any time soon, too much in the bank with 3-6 call it a hit franchises they can fall back on. Now Nintendo needs to be honest with themselves and decide moving forward is the Wii U what the masses want? Did Nintendo make the Wii U too weak? People feel the PS4 and XB1 are too weak compared to current PCs and they both are 4-5 times the power of the Wii U.

The problem being it was all about presentation. Sony had/has allot of the same policies but knew how present it better.
I agree, if these screenshots are not BS, PC shots, or taken from DEV kits with more ram than yes GTA5 along with MGS5 might be the best looking games this year. Oh almost forgot about Lost Souls looks impressive as well.
I can't say I'm impressed with both XB1 and PS4. I know both are around 8-10 times more powerful with over ten times as much useable ram as current gen. Biggest issue is simply all next gen consoles were design using mid range to last gen (PC) GPUs. What I have in my system right now could wipe the floor with all next gen consoles, so its hard to impressed buying inferior hardware. SC 2 actually sold the most on the PS2, over 2 million compared to 1.5 million for the GC. With that said SC 2 was probably the best in the series, now its played out similar to Virtual Fighter and Tekken series. If I was Nintendo I would try to get Capcom Versus series on the Wii U! This series stays fresh by introducing new characters from different fighting game series. I would love to Capcom Versus Mortal Kombat next complete with fatalities.

Bottleneck being that laptop style GPU. MS only need to add 32 pipelines instead of 16 and I think it would have been ok.
I'm looking forward to Ryse myself, too bad I didn't pre order the XB1 for this year. With that said Killzone series is pretty ham average with KZ3 being the highlight. PS2 version sucked, KZ 2 controls were awful with lag issues causing hand fatigue. Killzone 3 is the best in the series so far, I liked it until the final battle in space. Very lackluster ending to otherwise an decent game.

VR headsets has never been popular, probably never will. If people complained about 3D glasses being too heavy and giving them headaches, I can only imagine the b!tching and moaning most consumers will have about wearing 1 pound helmets. I'm more interested in holographic display/projections! True 3D without wearing any kind of eyewear or helmet.
Well I'm glad MS decided to increase the clock rates to make the XB1 more competitive going forward. I still believe MS should had stayed with IBM Powerpc processors, allot more customizable and to keep backwards compatibility. The AMD Jaguar CPU built inside of the SOC just seem so weak to me. Maybe if MS went with AMDs Vishera series with the GPU tacked on. Oh well, still waiting until after Christmas to buy one just in case Kinect Voice Death or KVODs popup.

I would say the only game I don't think X360 can make is GOW3 and GOWA. Taking out blu ray space advantage out of the equation the X360 does have slightly more available ram for textures and storing polygon models. It also has an built in displacement mapping unit nobody uses, giving it some DX 11 effects. Nooo! No big deal can't imagine too many people are dying to play 4 player split screens in the year 2013. Local 4 player multiplayer games reached its highest point between the years 1995-2002, or about the same time Xbox Live became popular. Oh I guess a little longer since the idiots at Nintendo decided multiplayer games over the internet for the GC was just a fad just like HD graphics for the Wii.
