Does it really matter what the X360 sell around the rest of the world? Most games sales/business are done in the US, Europe 2nd, and Japan third. So yeah its good bragging rights to have the number 1 selling console for 30 straight months in the worlds biggest market.

China has talented up and coming developers with NBA 2K games being developed in China(Whaaaat). UBIsoft has Chinese development studios as well, and The Last of Us art work and modeling were outsourced to China. I think China is looking at the bigger picture regarding potential import tax on consoles. Lets face it, the video game industry is big business and growing with Forbes reporting $67 Billion in revenue in 2012. Just about every one has played a video games in their life no matter what age, race, and sex. China is looking at their population being over 1 billion, which means about 300 million house holds as potential buyers.
True but it's a step in the right direction considering what the policies were just a month ago.

I don't know, I'm seeing allot of information that says otherwise. Nothing officials yet but it looks like its going to happen. If it does happen I would be the fist console manufacture kissing China's government a$$ to sell my product. If MS is paying attention, they have enough money to make it happen.

I don't know if the PS4 will sell sh!tloads in Japan. It might sell slightly less than the PS3 9 million or so units. Europe and North America will be the PS4 biggest markets as usual given the current hardware trend over the past 7 years. XB1 will tank again in Japan as usually, I can see MS pulling support pretty early since they now consider Japan an 2nd tier console market.

While true I still wanted the more energy efficient slim PS3 even though its pretty damn fugly.
I'm on my 4th Xbox, 2 RROD in 2006, upgraded to the Falcon chipset in 2009,finally upgraded to the slim in 2011. On my 3rd PS3, first fat unit died right after warranty, got the 40 GB model, ran out of space, picked up the slim model in 2011 as well.
I say who cares, the consoles market has been on the decline in Japan for a long time now. Even the mighty PS3 sold less than 10 million units. Japan has become an 2nd tier market, most of the home console game sales come from either America or Europe. I will give them credit, they still have great game developers and publisher, and I love their anime.
Yeah I say MS as well, last time I checked I still couldn't get HBOGO on my PS3. The HDMI input might be something special, I will have to wait and see how it works with Uverse. Now what I'm interested in is the audio capabilities of both consoles, something not even the great Cerny the Grey as talked about.

Nah probably 750 GB at the bare minimal, since my library of Xbox 360 is currently 17 and my 320 GB was maxed out with game install, had to take a couple off to fit the Walking Dead 400 days arcade title. Strangely enough my PS3 is the 120 GB slim edition, I still have 77 GBs of free space with over 10 game installs, but I don't think the PS3 installs the full game, I could be wrong.
The new one looks boring to me as well, can't get excited about an series I've never liked after playing 2 and 3. Just not my type of games, moving on.

I some what agree with you, but lets be honest, console games drive the video game market. Sure PCs can be much more powerful but they are rarely taken advantage of because of the market, platform and API overhead. Try running Crysis 2 or 3 on lets say ATI 1900 which slightly above the X360 at console quality if you can find a driver that works for that game.

I agree with Ubisoft heck even EA came out the gate swinging on the Wii U. Any who Bayonetta 2 will sell probably around 600,000 with the increase in hardware sales after Christmas. Unless Nintendo screws up again and release Bayonetta 2 around major titles like their own original franchises or big Sony and Xbox titles.
MS don't waste your time, 2.6 million units sold in over ten years is not good business to make Japan an priority. Heck not even the PS3 sold very well with just over 9 million units sold. Japan is now an mobile market, console sales has dwindled over the past decade while handheld sales has increased. Don't get me wrong Japan still has great developers but I would focus my attention on China and S. Korea as opportunistic markets to gain a strong foot hold in Asia.
