Cmon with all the disagrees, if I'm not mistaken but didn't Nintendo themselves come out and say they underestimated the scale of HD graphics? I would say thats pretty ham incompetent if you ask me. HD is nothing new, Sony and MS are on their 3rd HD console and this is Nintendo first.

I thought KZ was abit too jaggy for my taste, and besides KZ3 (hated the ending) KZ 1&2 were pretty average to awful. Infamous does look good, but I don't care for the main character. Reminds me of the latest Devil May Cry character young teenage/early twenties crap with an attitude. I want the short hair cut/bald I look sick but I will kick your a$$ Cole back. But yeah very good looking game that probably will be become Sony first million seller.
Same here, I know its first gen software for next gen hardware, I'm just not that impress so far. Deep Down and FF 15 are probably the best looking games out the bunch.
The first Xbox 360 games I purchased Madden 06 blew the doors off both Xbox and PS2 versions. Project Gotham Racing 3 made the previous versions look silly,Condemned: Criminal Origins had the geometry rate MS promised with the first Xbox.

Good job increasing the CPU and GPU/memory bandwidth but increasing shader count probably would have been a smarter decision. ROPS 16 (unconfirmed as far as I know) is a bit on the low end, even the PS2 had 16 ROPS along with the Wii U ( again unconfirmed). Probably yeah since its the Big N first HD console, even though HD consoles has been around since 2000/2001. Kinda hard to wrap my finger around it, did Nintendo think composite cables back in 2006 was still the best display technology out there?
Yeah on top of that downloading games to only maybe 400 GBs available to the users the HD will fill up quick downloading games that large. Plus when I'm done with it I can get almost half of my money back trading it in. But I must admit sometimes its hard to wait when I got that midnight itch and can't wait until the store opens up to make my purchase.
I like the RAM in everything but this is the first time a new console has launched and I felt like Reggie Fils-Aime, "Meh". But the software is only 1st generation, with the exception of FF15 and Infamous 3 I think its called now, next gen graphics/software this fall will be inferior to the PC versions (Watch Dog, BF4 etc). Heck games like Beyond 2 Souls, Dark Soul 2, and GTA 5 (I'm shocked current gen hardware can handle these titles) stand toe to toe with most next gen games. ...
Just going with recent news, downgrade, missing graphics features, graphics features turned off, 720P, 900P,1080P, whatever. Heck not even BF3 looked as good on my PC as the promo shots led me to believe during E3 a couple of years ago. Oh well, still in my Amazon pre order cart.
Cmon now EA you guys now have over 10 times as much usable ram, 3 times the polygon count, DX 11 1.+ and equivalents and you guys drop the ball on Madden 25 graphics. If the article didn't say Next Gen was on the left, I would not have known besides the Adrian Peterson arm picture.

Strange seem like the only thing I have heard recently about BF4 rather its PS4, XB1, or PC are graphics downgrade. Oh well, this game should play nice with AMD new VC I plan on buying this fall.
First gen already maxing out Blu Ray, well I guess that was predictable. I got into about 3 months ago with some idiots claiming BR 50GBs was enough for next gen platforms considering a handful of PS3 games coming in at over 40GBs.
Part of the reason Sega is out of the hardware business, idiots making bad business decisions and treating Japan like it's a top tier market. The Dreamcast and Sega Saturn launched in Japan a year before it came to the U.S, neglecting the biggest market and Sega wondered why both sold like crap.

I purchased the Game Cube for the RE Series, with RE 0 being the best out the bunch. Stars Wars and the remake of Metal Gear Solid on the Game Cube was pretty good as well. GC had some great software but big N fans hurt their own system by mostly sticking to Nintendo published games. Oh well to each is his own, but I still expect Nintendo to do a Sega and release a system in 2015 if the sales drought continues into the 2nd quarter of 2014.
Finally console level optimization for my PC hardware. Maybe now my I7 970 (4.16 GHZ) can flex its muscles, my Nvidia GTX 670 will not be in case for too much longer, waiting for awhile for AMD next gen video cards.
3DFX Glide was pretty slick, good enough to have my old Voodoo 4 go toe to toe with the Geforce 256 in certain games. Glide produced the same 32 bit color or colour (Brits) using 3DFX 20 bit dithering technique improving performance by 25 percent depending on the game. DX API got the upper hand with S3 textures and T&L back in the late 90s/early 2000s.
2001 called and they want their Brownish, Yellowish, and Grey hues colors back. Compared to DR2 (colorful) DR3 is not looking like much of an upgrade. Yeah you have allot more characters on the screen with higher textures resolution that is being masked by this awful color scheme DR3 employs.
