I want to buy this game but I was not really a big fan of Heavy Rain. Plus I'm trading my PS3 in next month so I don't if I will have time to beat and fully explore this game.

All this crap about which platform is better, blah, blah, blah. All platforms piggy back off one another. PC comes out with more powerful hardware every year to 18 months but lack the software to take advantage of the hardware. Consoles come using similar PC hardware set in stone for the next 5-8 years allowing developers to fully figure out how to develop efficient code for graphical performance, increased CPU usage, and memory management. Learning console performance techniques eventually t...
Yeah I got it on the PC and after about 2 days I was done with it. I still have DEHR installed but not played it in almost two years. In my Opinion Deus Ex probably one of the most overrated series out there. Didn't like the first one, boring, the 2nd one was actually pretty good, completed about 80 percent before trading it in. And this last one, I lost motivation when I landed on the rooftop to clear a warehouse in Milwaukee.
When publisher go all out and deliver the best version the games still don't sale. EA did this with Need for Speed and it sold like crap. Batman armor edition was slightly better as well and still flopped. I will say this, the Wii U is one of the worst marketed system since the Sega Saturn by both Nintendo and third party publishers. The last Splinter Cell didn't even have the Wii U version listed they wonder why it sold like crap.
Yeah I would say we got it good considering paying $75.99 before taxes as a kid for the SNES,Genesis, N64 in Chicago. After taxes my games were closer to $90 in sales tax heavy Chicago. NES games were very cheap, like you mentioned I can't recall paying over $40 for my NES games at Funcoland back in the day. I'm glad we switched to CD/DVD games, while yes cartridges were fast, some actually did loading, I can't say I miss paying those prices.
I didn't have that problem, but he mentioned the PS1 as being sturdy. I had 5 of them in 6 years while my N64 and Sega Saturn never failed.
Update:
My N64 did fail to boot after sitting idle for awhile, but by that time in 2002 I no longer played my N64. Probably was just a bad power supply, but I didn't care to investigate, only wanted to setup Goldeneye for my younger family members.
I don't miss paying $60-$75 for my N64 games. Thats not too much now, but considering 96-99 as a teenager in sports and school, $75 before tax was not always easy to come up with. And people complain about $60 a game today considering the 90's also had SNES and Genesis games going for $75 with Virtual Racing costing me $100. Oh don't get me started on the Neo Geo carts, only system I wanted but couldn't afford to buy the software until the CD version.
The R9 290 price should drop down to about $450 when OEMs become saturated. The 290X is just above my budget, at $650 I'm better off getting dual 7950s in crossfire which should meet or exceed the 290X.
Can I get a Radeon R9 290 for $500 please? Would you like advance Audio and 3D at 60 FPS in 1080P with that? Yep! Would you like to upgrade to the 290X for $150 more? Nah I'm trying to save on the watts. Would this complete your order? No how much more is Mantle? Mantle is including with your combo, is there anything else you would like to add? How about gaming bundles? Oh there's a coupon for that in the box! Oh ok, thats all I need, here you go ser, enjoy your order and thank you fo...
I don't know, I think Sony will dominate the first two years or so but MS will remain strong in the U.S. Out of the big 3 MS has easily the most cash to gamble, market, and develop new IP, thus can afford to take a bigger hit per console. I think MS wants to see how fans respond in sells the first year before making any rash decisions. Coping Nintendo has not pan out so I can see MS taking a Q from Sony and push new IPs for teens to adult age gamers.
Sony is taking care of business this time around, its amazing what changing leadership can do. Sony got better, MS got worse for awhile but on the rebound, and Nintendo, well its Nintendo.
Nah as mentioned before traded it in because I beat it already and MP didn't tickle my fancy. I don't know what you consider smooth but upper teens, low 20 FPS is not exactly smooth when the action gets busy. But again don't know if Naughty released a performance patch. Any who time for me go home, long day at work, peace out.
WTF?
I thought it would be obvious I'm stating my opinion Double Helix is not the developers that should be handling one of the franchises I've been waiting almost two decades for. God I hate what MS did to Rare, oh well maybe I might be surprised.
Not sad, beat the SP, MP didn't seem like anything special so I got my $37 before the value dropped and actually picked up two games, God of War, and the latest Naruto game I haven't really played yet. But yeah during large fights and my use of the flame thrower and firebombs it got choppy.
At the time I had TLOU frame rate issues was well known, I don't think I have to post links,a simple frame rate search will get you a lot of hits. If they do come out with a PS...
Allot spots had some pretty nasty slowdown, blurry textures in some levels, hi res in other. I think the experience would have been better without so much slow down especially when flames and particle effects on screen. I don't know if the performance has been patched or not, traded in for God of War Ascension. I can recall reading in interviews Naughty Dogs informed they created 4K textures downscaled to 1/2K for the PS3 memory. Since 4K textures were already created, spend 4 months conv...
As much as I would love Uncharted 4, I think Naughty Dog should take the opportunity to start a new franchise and release Uncharted 4 in 2015. What I think they should do is release PS4 version of The Last of Us with 4K textures, and 1080P at 60.
Not needed, I enjoy my console controllers from the comforts of my couch without leaning forward to type on a keyboard. I play all of my PC single player games with Xbox controllers, only use mouse and keyboard when playing MP or if the game does not support it ( shame on you Mass Effect 2&3).
My decision came down to price to features with the PS4 winning out this Holiday season. XB1 is on my list for January, maybe late December depending on how much I spend on my family.
Deep Down to me is the only game I've seen 2nd Son and KZ 4 included that looks next gen. Sharp high resolution textures, phenomenal looking physics effects, PC quality motion blur sampling, overall a very good looking game. Next gen version of Dark Souls 2, but besides the graphics I can't say this game looks fun, just more like a glorified tech demo similar to .
