Steam numbers are only getting bigger because some games require steam activation which is basically DRM. I have over 3 dozen games in my Steam library and about 80 percent of them required I activate my product in steam before I can play. Origin is the same way, I don't care for either platform but if I want the best graphics for my games and not argue about oh my games play at 1080P, yours play at 900P and 720P.

That's what I'm saying, I'm seeing a stable 150 million units sold per generation over the last two. What needs saving is the game industry journalism, wow it has gotten bad over the past 5 years. Print Magazines, gaming sites (I miss Voodoo Extreme) are being shut down left and right. Some of these jokers only publish articles just to get into E3, about a month after E3 their site goes down or say under construction until the link no longer works.

Console gaming does not need saving, the sales this past year or two has dipped with two pending next gen consoles launching this month. What really needs saving in the video game industry is journalism.

We now have multiple sites, and articles written by fan boys, or articles design just to stir up controversy. The internet basically nailed the print magazines coffin shut, now all I see is sites that pop up with controversal articles 1 minute, URL link gone the next. Which ...

Oh no, not just the PSN store, online gaming had some lag, stutter as well, something I never got on my PC or Xbox Live. But again this was the PS3, my internet connection 25 Mbps, every device that can speed test would hit 23-25.6 mbps except the PS3. Testing at the same location my PS3 speed test would only report 7-15 mbps. Set the PS3 to high priority in my routers QOS settings which did improve but still somewhat laggy. Now I have to pay for it on the PS4? I expect the first month or two...

PSN is slow, well at least on the PS3. It's kinda like Android lag on older smart phones. Functional yes, will you notice lag compared to XLive? Definitely! But until the PS4 launches next week it's free so for what it's worth PSN is a good platform. Should be interesting, first time I'm getting a Sony system first at the start of next gen.

@ stings

Yeah a pack of batteries can last awhile for my Xbox controllers. I actual wish my PS3 controllers had AA batteries. Before I sold my PS3 last week with my PS4 coming this Friday I was down to maybe 4 or 5 hours of gaming on 1 and about 8 hrs on the other controller. Irritating to sit off to the side of my TV using a 2 meter USB cord to charge while gaming. Both controllers were 3 or more years old, but like cell phones battery packs will lose its charge over time, n...

Its pretty good, but I like Bad Company 2 a little better. BF4 is probably 3 on my list right behind Halo 4.

This stuff is laughable fanboy crap. How did this article get approved? The title should be changed to reflect this GameStop one store instead generalized for the whole nation.

I went into multiple GameStops and Best Buys to pre order XB1 and they were all sold out in regards to pre orders. Best Buy informed they have 20 PS4 in stock now for mid night release, no XB1 in as of yet with pre orders being sold out for both. Manager informed he could get me a PS4 now for $700 jus...

I would say HDMI 2.0, and bigger hard drives would be the only reasons I would hold off from buying both consoles this month. In 2 years expect both to be included along with a die shrink to lower cost.

It will probably be the option 1080P at 30 or 720P at 60! Any who this game does not look that good based on videos to be running at 720P. I get Battlefield 4, even my PC struggles in some spots, oh well first gen software.

I went into Game Stop to trade in my PS3 with two controllers, the a$$ holes told me only $60 for the 120 GB Slim model. Got the power up card and they said $66, decided to keep my PS3 and sell it to my sister for $100.

Lazy developers I tell ya! For a game that looks like this they couldn't sustain 1080P at 60FPS on both next gen platforms?

4611d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

I've questioned this argument for awhile now. According to Sony own specs the PS3 and PS4 TFLOPs are about the same and the PS3 is still more powerful than the XB1. I know Sony has a history of being full of crap regarding specs but I really don't see a jump in visual fidelity. If either PS3 or X360 had 8 GBs of ram they both could match about 70% of the titles I've seen on next gen so far. Granted most of next gen titles are either ports or indie developed titles.

Yeah going to use a PS3 fanboy term and say lazy developers. I know Activision is not doing this on purpose but you would expect them to put a little more effort into Wii U ports. Maybe Nintendo should have went with AMD X86/64 CPUs as well, atleast the Wii U would get Next Gen code and not code based off current gen RISC chips found in PS3,X360 and the Wii U.

Next gen are seriously weak when compared to the tech at the start of the previous generation. Both systems struggling to keep 60 FPS in Call of Duty?

4611d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Come on now Activision, you guys are like UBISoft! Pledging support but slowly killing the system with poor ports and marketing. Call of Duty Ghost 880X720P on the Wii U? If the system is 25 more powerful than current gen and over 50 percent more usable ram at least give Wii U owners a full 1280X720.

Not having any CPU issues, tried this game on both my laptop and desktop. Laptop CPU Sandy Bridge 2670M utilization around 42-60 percent. Desktop I7 970 28-37 percent, the one thing this game uses allot is ram. Running 64bit exe, seeing almost 4 GBs of ram being used in single player, the most I've seen since Supreme Commander.

Yeah, but I still don't get why everybody hates on RE5. Everybody say it wasn't scary, if Capcom take RE 7 back to its RE 0-3 roots, everybody is going to scream Tank controls, monster in the closets scares is outdated, is this 1995?

RE 6 for what's it worth is scary for the most part, just certain campaigns like Leon K is so much better than what you get from Jake. Jake campaign made me put the game down, stuck in the hospital level with no motivation to push pas...

Oh the systems launches on my payday! Good thing I just paid it off on Friday. Amazon switched me to the PS 4 DS edition pre-order after Watch Dog was delayed. Probably will take the day off, sell my PS3 for $100, and see about buying a game or two, nothing really I want play or stand out for me yet. I already own BF4 on the PC, probably Madden 25, and Kill Zone if I can get KZ3 ending out of my head.

I get paid a third paycheck this month around the 29th, I think that's...

Yeah I got 4 on Xbox live when I picked RE6, it was abit different then what I remembered from the Game Cube version. But with that said I still think RE 5 is the 2nd best in the series right behind Code Veronica, followed by RE2.
