Some good/great/masterpieces on that list for sure, just NOT in that order.

This game by no means looks poor, sadly it looks something a lot, lot worse...average. When I say 'looks' I don't mean visually - because in that regard it looks solid enough if nothing breathtaking, no, I mean 'looks' in that it reminds me of so, so many games I have played before yet with nothing special added to elevate it.

This pretty much covers it. Its always nice to get some new IP's but as for 'winning' E3, nothing captures the hearts and minds quite like an established/beloved franchise receiving a new entry in the series. For me - I cant wait to see if Nintendo show of any Zelda for the Wii U.

Wasnt Mario 64 ahead of its time? Surely.

Great! Another great reason to own a Wii U, fingers crossed it (new Project Zero) gets localised.

Its true. I own a PS4 as I did a PS3, 2 and 1 but like many (excluding Sega - in its prime) 'rival' consoles, it appears to me with Nintendo its games are not only made to last but can in instances get better with each play.

The anticipation for Mario Kart 8 is killing me...

I own 2 'next gen' i.e THIS gen consoles, the PS4 and the Wii U, and while I dont own every game on each I would suggest I own the best of the bunch. Seems to me that while it is impractical to compare semi-realistic and stylized games I would say - in my experience - SM3DW easily the best looking game to date, Ground Zeroes the best of the semi-realistic games.

What gives SM3DW the edge for me is that not only does it look good static it runs as smooth as butter, Eur...

Typical, a game of SM3DW's epic statue, easily the best game this gen by a country mile and little to no comments on it receiving albeit another review. This typifies for me the sad decline of great games being put aside for powerful propaganda, this gen I fear is going to hit a brick wall.

No, they (Nintendo) really dont. If you still believe the £250 mark for a Nintendo Wii U bundled with either Mario Kart 8 or currently Super Mario 3D World too high a price then by all means pay roughly £100 more for a PS4 with either no game or a game which is available on previous gen technology.

Dont get me wrong, I was an early adopter of the PS4 - having owned all previous Playstation's and enjoyed each over their life span, however, the real truth is that ...

What I wouldn't give for a demo right about now, the wait is crippling. Boy, when Nintendo release (in due time) their 1st party staple franchises every other developer better just stand well back. It will be very interesting to see both Mario Kart 8 and Watch Dogs pitted side by side, both releasing near enough the same time. Yes, both are very different games - aesthetically and gameplay - but each has so much hype, I wonder which will deliver best...not really, its pretty damn obvious,...

Hardly a drought of games, hardly. I picked up both a Wii U and PS4 at launch, if anything it has been the PS4 which has given me nothing I couldn't already be enjoying by keeping my previous PS3. I agree, not much in it either way but if the PS4 has close to the library of games the Wii U has come December I will be very, very pleased.

Remember, quality, NOT quantity.

Its true. You can actually feel the concern/worry PS4/Xbox One owners - of which I am a PS4 owner - have regarding Watch Dogs. First it was used as an example to highlight the Wii U's lack of 'power', now the damn thing just looks like an inevitable disappointment.

Dont get me wrong, I hope it is (Watch Dogs) all the early hype suggests, I bought a PS4 at launch and have thus far nothing to really justify the rather expensive investment. Like every generation howe...

Exactly, its not like the best games on PS4/Xbox One are currently available for PS3/360 for cheaper...oh wait.

I never was the sold on what I had seen/heard from day 1, being an early PS4 adopter however I am interested to see if it can offer me something which comes close to justifying said purchase. Luckily however should it indeed fall below expectations I am expecting to be taking delivery of Mario Kart 8 a couple of days later, now THAT is as close to a guaranteed success as is possible - a 1st party Nintendo title, looks AND gameplay, no compromise.

This. Seriously, $500!? The Shenmue III hype is getting out of hand now. The handful of people (such as myself) who actually bought said franchise on its initial release can testify that yes, it was a (sort of) revolutionary enough game but with flaws, oh so many flaws. Releasing Shenmue III - whatever the entails - done not guarantee a masterpiece, perhaps in the hands on Nintendo's first party developers but nothing less.

Now THAT has me salivating for Mario Kart 8, the memories also.

Forget it. With some people - regarding Nintendo - its always going to be a case of damned if they do, damned if they dont. Sure, I'm a 'die-hard' Nintendo fan/follower but even I have my irks, surely though this applies for both Sony and Microsoft as well. I mean, I bought a PS4 at launch - and while very early days - Ive got nothing at present I couldnt have by keeping my previous PS3.

Karma for PS4 (of which I'm one) and Xbox One fans if ever there was. Just as Mario Kart 8 is being released both 'rival' consoles get a sorely downgraded and I fear rather average game, time will tell...

It focuses its attention on the best input method for said game i.e Wii Motion (with wheel) and 'traditional' control, now what is wrong with that? Sure, the inclusion of something innovative on the Gamepad would have been great, but rather focus on something positive than shoehorn in something pointless.

Besides, can we focus on the real issue in hand, the game look - and from all accounts - plays like a dream, isnt that what matters come the crunch...

I don't know if its the best, it certainly however is the most unappreciated. I myself am a Zelda veteran, having played every major console Zelda - and most of the handheld, I can safely say Skyward Sword felt to me a much needed shot in the arm after Twilight Princess (while very good) felt for the first time the series was resting on its laurels.
