GTOY contender for sure, particularly with all that looked promising on 'rival' consoles being delayed until 2015, still, even "promising" these days hold no weight...Watch Dogs anybody, remember, the game which was 6 months ago going to make the Wii U a laughing stock.
I understand graphical comparisons being shown between the latest 'blockbuster' titles (just), such as COD, Assassins Creed and GTA, but a game such as this...this thing is really getting out of hand. Still, on the other hand, the PS4 version shows slightly "crisper" graphics.
You do, really? I can only speak for myself but - owning as I do a PS4 and Wii U (both bought at launch - I feel the PS4 thus far hasn't delivered on any level, be it the games or the hardware. Nintendo had proven once again that its craft and hard work which bring us the goods. Its becoming more and more obvious...if you want the latest yearly 'blockbuster' multi-platform release then Sony and Microsoft have you covered, if however you want innovative, unique and fresh experience...
Strange, since the characters in said game are CLEARLY not Japanese, it would all look/sound a bit strange. Also, regarding how "amazing" Metal Gear Solid (series) is...MGS1 yes, MGS2 bits, MGS3 yes - definitely, MGS4 bits, the series as a whole is good at best.
I can only speak for myself but yes, it really is that bad. Trite, twitchy controls, soulless and not even the last gen graphics can hide all this...NOT the reason I invested in a PS4 at launch.
I received my copy yesterday - after pre-ordering it on the 7th of March! Already I am 100% less jaded with the industry than I was Tuesday - the day I received Watch Dogs for my PS4...that game is a shame, perhaps this generations E.T?
Thank you Nintendo, thank you for brining the FUN back into gaming.
I concur. Instead lets champion Ubisoft for promising so much yet delivering so little and at the same time curse Nintendo for not getting involved in some serious propaganda and false promises. Oh, by the way, I own both Watch Dogs (PS4) AND Mario Kart 8 (Wii U), so unlike some others here - which shall go unnamed - I know a little something of what I'm talking.
Hard to argue...
It was worth buying day 1, that is of course if both Sony (which I did) and Microsoft's machines were likewise.
This 'news' means what exactly, that brute force advertising via lies and smokescreens translates into high sales? Good message. I would say Mario Kart 8 is the people's champ (no 1) in this sordid affair engineered by Ubisoft.
SM3DW counts, surely...no greater cat homage.
Don't blame Nintendo for the decrease in new IP's, blame the general public - the majority anyhow. Great example, Wonderful 101 is innovation, fresh and fun, didn't stop the sales being incredibly low, probably because Joe Blogs was waiting for the next Call of Duty or GTA. However, if it's new IP's you are after I firmly believe Nintendo is still your best bet, Sony and Microsoft are the equivalent today of a multiplex.
Close enough if not thee worst list ever published. Not 1 Wii U game made it into the top 10...interesting. SM3DW, Mario Kart 8, W101 and Tropical Freeze (for example), are these few games not infinitely better than any mentioned in this 'article', answer = YES.
I'm my experience - and I bought a PS4 day 1, the games and the console itself have been average at best, worse still the best game in the coming months (exclusive) is TLOU, a fabulous game but one most PS4 owners have likely played to death already. Oh well, 2015 May fare better...
I'm not cheap - far from it, I bought own a PS4, Wii U and 3DS with a huge library of games (this gen), more and more consoles and games in previous gens. I'm just stating that (in my own experience) the PS4 has hardly hit the ground running and at present isn't faring much better...the best game due in the coming months is surely TLOU.
As every day passes the more and more I wish I hadn't traded my trusty PS3 in towards a day 1 PS4, my PS4 currently little better than a very expensive BBCiPlayer.
Wonderful news. A great game which is deserving of being seen/played by the widest possible audience, and yes, its going to look even better (in HD) on the Wii U.
Why this (USFIV) isn't releasing on the Wii U is travesty, the way the Wii U produces bold, colourful sprites while at the same time running at a smooth 60fps - it all appears a no-brainer.
I don't disagree, personally I use Eurogamer's 'face off' anytime a particular game warrants one - I'd just be surprised if a game such as this will have any problems running at optimum performance on all chosen platforms.
