Mario Maker, Xenoblade, Splatoon and Woolly World (for example) - not included Indie and/of Virtual Console. Say for arguments sake that is 'only' one game per quarter.
Between job, girlfriend, family, friends and all other non-videogame related hobbies/interests, that is more than enough.
Also, LOL at "Fatal Frame (censored)". Adolescent.
I've said it before and I'll say it again...
Quality over quantity, always. Be that sales of a particular game and/or a consoles library of games. Give me the half a dozen or so AAA Nintendo exclusives coming in 2016 over the entire library of PS4/XB1 games combined.
I agree - to a point. None of the above mentioned titles will turn the tides for the Wii U in terms of sales and/or mass popularity...BUT. For me it has ALWAYS been about quality, NOT quantity. IF a game and/or series I enjoy sells well then that's a bonus. I will however continue to play the games I rate and enjoy, not being influenced one iota by sales.
Look at movies, books and TV (for example) and you will generally find what sells isnt always what it best...
TP over SS!? I can only imagine it has something to do with TP (GC) played over a 'traditional' controller. SS took the series to new heights. It was bold, brave and balletic - all the b's. Trust me, SS will be remembered very, VERY fondly - a future classic.
Yes, SF5 looks to be another excellent game in a great series...but since I own SF4 Ultra for my VERY modestly specced PC - which runs flawlessly at 60fps - I think I wont be missing too much, even if it is admittedly a miss for the Wii U.
Sunset Overdrive!? The XB1 has some good exclusives, and you choose to use Sunset Overdrive as your best example...
Don't know about "obvious". To you perhaps. Just wanted to make the point - as to underline another stellar exclusive in Nintendo's locker.
On a side note - Bayonetta 2 is NEVER coming to either Microsoft and/or Sony console, both now or future...mark my words.
Using a name (Mario, for example) does not equate to the same game repeated. SMW, Mario 64, SMG...see?? I could go on...
Because - like most Nintendo IP's - it brought a freshness and new way of looking at a tired genre. Look at any other 3rd person shooter, now look at Splatoon, now look at any other 3rd person shooter...see!?
Bloody uber-nerds. Haha.
I honestly don't get the hoo-ha. IF this is true it will no way effect the main quest. Also, I would imagine (again, IF true) this supposed dungeon will soon be released via DLC - for those interested.
Personally I regard TP as the worst in the canon since Zelda II. TP is still a great game, don't get me wrong. It just felt (for me) the first Zelda in a long, long time to be treading water.
Really, really nice to see Nintendo given 'best publisher' of the year 2015. Looks to me those who actually played the majority of Nintendo's offering in 2015 would concur. The hate and/or fear of people regarding Nintendo has always had the feeling of coming from those who dont play the damn games.
A time in which games could be bold, colourful and fun without being trolled for being 'kiddie'. Better days.
Well that clears that up...right?
Sure, it would work - just poorly.
Those arguing for a better game with the removal of Motion Plus and the inclusion of a more 'traditional' controller are missing the point entirely. ENTIRELY. The game was built around Motion Plus. I've been championing Skyward Sword for a long, long time. I don't agree its the best Zelda game - A Link to the Past still (for me) is tops, but Skyward Sword easily makes the top 5 covering EVERY Zelda.
I think the majority of people commenting on this don't own a WiiU and/or haven't supported/enjoyed Nintendo for many gens. Specs this, 'traditional' controller that. IF both PS4 and XB1 offer you 3rd party games and most (if not all) what you think a games console should be, well then stick with it. If like me you buy Nintendo for (mostly) exclusives and innovation/experimentation then you would never want Nintendo simply to fall in line.
The WiiU is a solid ...
Funny you should mention memory. I assume you are referring to storage - 32gb being the max - sans flash drive/external hard drive. Anyhow, I own both WiiU and PS4 and (believe it or not) my PS4 filled up quickest - due I think to HUGE updates and mandatory installs. That an I have a hell of a lot more games for my WiiU than I do PS4.
Not everybody (such as yourself) fears a change of pace and/or direction as badly - I'm happy to say. The Wii gave the industry a shake, the reminder gaming didn't just need to be confined to the bedrooms of adolescents. Not everybody was ever going to enjoy that jolt. Thankfully millions upon millions did. If anybody is going to gradually fade from the videogames industry it is more likely to be Microsoft - each gen becoming more and more vanilla.
You say 3 is just a terrible number to be bragging about...
First, I'm not bragging regarding how few or how many. Second, when Zelda U (for example) is one of those games, 1 would have me bragging. Lastly, I'd rather (for me) play one truly exceptional game all year than 10 or so good (even very good) games...but that's just me.
I don't have the time or inclination to play many games a year - or can justify it.
