Next up, the many innovations of the Uncharted and/or Halo series...oh, WAIT. My bad.
Agreed. But where as Nintendo focus on their strengths, rival developers appear to try and appease everybody, usually ending up in little else but sales. Gamers - when retired - won't fondly remember sales...
Agreed.
I agree. This is why I (generally) favour Nintendo. They seem to have the knack - no, not that HORRIBLE PlayStation exclusive - of being able to tow the line between linear and 'sandbox'...
Agreed. Add the Gamecube and Wii U into that mix.
I don't know outdated, but yes, I do find the games repetitive and less fun more a chore.
Just about to post the exact same comment myself. Also, the DS/DSi/3DS has proven this better (IMO) than this - what in all likelihood be a altogether different purchase.
I own both New 3DS and PC. Am I better getting above mentioned title OR Mega Man Collection via Steam/PC? Anybody care to list the pros and cons of each...
I dont know care, but I see comparing both PS4 and XB1's multi-platform graphical differences - since both consoles are obviously competing directly with one another, but its when people start trolling on the Wii U in relation to either/or 'rival' consoles. Nintendo has clearly set itself apart as a games console alone where exclusives are king, while both Sony and Microsoft are trying to offer all in 1 entertainment systems - a sort of jack of all trades, master of none.
...
Ok, and what, SM3DW, MK8, DK:TF, Bayonetta 2, etc, etc, etc are ugly? Compare any of these games (and the rest) with anything available on 'rival' consoles...
Freedom of choice is an illusion - in real life and games. Impossible to pick a favourite Zelda, easier to choose my least favourite - while still good(ish) games in their own right....Zelda II (obviously, perhaps) and less obviously, Twilight Princess. TP for me because it felt the first Zelda title in years to be treading water. Still, Skyward Sword more than made up for its predecessors mistakes. Epic.
Street Fighter/Capcom dropped the ball...perhaps King of the Fighters can pick it up and run with it. Fingers crossed.
Not me. SFV is a good example. I'm a fan of the franchise and would have purchased said game day 1 if the reviews hadn't been so unfavourable - the majority at least. Transformers Devastation is the opposite. Not a game I would have purchased until I read the litte details which were put into the game.
This is why I generally favour Nintendo. Most AAA games are polished, considered and very repayable. Developers who work hard until a game is COMPLETE.
Grammar! My head hurts...
Nice!
Decline is an understatement...
'Free' games you pay a subscription to receive, most of them average and uninspired at launch - never mind a year or so later. Free online play on PS3 was great. Thanks for pulling the plug on that Sony...
@Hoffmann "a generation behind"? The Wii U runs games at 720p/1080p and 60fps on half a dozen AAA titles. Now, tell me what either PS4 and/or XB1 is doing above this to show me the leap in generations...
Catch up Dolphin. Nintendo now runs SM3DW at 720p and 60fps - without a single frame dropped - on a sub £200 console. Over to you...
What!? Nintendo created SMG 1 & 2, arguably the finest games of all time - Gamerankinga agrees. Dolphin has - roughly 6 years later - offered a way of running it inconsistently IF you own a fairly expensive gaming PC. Well done Dolphin?
I simply wouldn't do it. I'll buy it on Wii U.
