@vandal GAB
You said it best when you said 'bickering about the performance between the XB1 and PS4'. Spec wars appear solely the exclusivity of XB1 vs PS4 plebs. Nintendo fans are happy with the output of what is achieved with any particular hardware, just so long as it looks, runs and plays a corker - something 99.9% of Nintendo EXCLUSIVES achieve. Also, while I'm not a total idiot to understand better hardware allows for the possibility of bigger and better loo...
Letting 'fans' dictate a new Zelda as opposed to letting Nintendo get on with it, err, let me think...LOL.
*SIGH*
I've said it before and I'll see it again...judge its visuals/performance from what you can see and feel. Playing games such as SM3DW, Mario Kart 8 and Smash (for example), I can't help but feel blown away.
Fool.
Nintendo care about gameplay AND visuals equally. As I stated previously, play any of Nintendo's key 1st party titles then tell me how you could have envisaged any game looking better.
Ok - having read quite a few previews now - I'll admit, the controls are worrying me.
Anybody know if the option for 'traditional' controls are available?
Care? Have you played some of (ANY) of Nintendo's first party games this gen - or indeed any gen? I dont think lack of care is something you could level at them. Also, this 'underpowered' hardware trolling is still rearing its ugly head I see. Just because Sony and Microsoft appear to be fighting some kind of spec war, does it mean Nintendo must do likewise? Besides, games via the Wii U have been running at 1080p/60fps...correct me if I'm wrong, but I dont see either PS4 and/o...
I've had it on preorder for a while now. I can't wait to see if it meets me expectations - or even surpasses them...fingers crossed.
Notice no Nintendo games on this list. You could do a top 50 and still no Nintendo games would make the cut. Coincidence? No, its called hard work and talent.
Is it just me or does it look 'merely' as good as if U3 (for example) were running on a gaming PC? That is detailed resolutions but still the physics and gameplay of others in the series. No offence but I'm just not feeling the next gen jump.
@Jayszen
You can level something's at Nintendo and the Wii U, but 'mediocre first party support' is outrageous. Also, the games you describe keeping the PS4 mob at bay are (like you, imo) little but chav fodder. Anyway, owning both Wii U and PS4 as I do, where as my Wii U has been a constant source of entertainment, fun and polish, my PS4 (this far) has been less games console more a catch-up player.
OK, the Wii U's OS wasn't fine tuned at launch, and yes, the 'big games' didn't arrive until a bit later, but these accusations could easily be levelled at the PS4 also, surely. So while this may be true it is not (imo) the reason the Wii U hasn't sold more.
Shallow? Shallow!? Just work your way through the training alone then tell me it's shallow...
This game is so deep it makes 'rival' fighters appear truly shallow by comparison.
Is this even a contest? Yes, I'm not blind to see FFVII has its fans - in the millions, but Ocarina has an endless appeal from which anybody can pick up this game and be immersed. Also, its worth mentioning that while the FF series hasnt chanced much since, the Zelda series has ran and ran with it.
You CLEARLY dont own and/or have played many of the Wii U games which can be considered essential AND goty contenders. Why you choose a rinse and repeat trolling attempt aimed at Nintendo/Wii U is beyond me. Unlike you I feel happy to comment on both Wii U and PS4 since I have owned both since launch and played many games for either. You it appears just feel happy to snipe from the sidelines.
Ok, so your point being while Nintendo made a significant difference in the jump from Wii to Wii U, both Sony and Microsoft made more of a step.
First, "generation behind"? Nintendo's Wii U has games running at 1080p/60fps, 720p/30fps and everything in between, now unless you know different, I dont know any PS4/XB1 games running at anything 'better'. Second, "laughable online"? For the games which run online via the Wii U, I have never had any problems with either lag, being disconnected or finding matches/friends. Third, yes, the 3rd party support is low, but I tend to look at the other side of this ...
My Wii U has taken my attention away from PES 2016 (sadly), which is a shame, because I was enjoying it more than I have any football game in a long, long time - probably since Kick Off 2, haha.
Rather, Nintendo have nothing to prove. Yes, I'm sure their shareholders would like sales to always be strong, but as an industry leader, nobody can hold a torch to Nintendo. Sony are marginally still on trend, Microsoft have the cash to keep playing, but both combined don't bring as much to the table as Nintendo. History will show this - if it isn't already.
Star Fox!? Lylat Wars, please.
This game feels very much a cash n' grab movie tie-in (sadly). Feels agggeeessss since we had a really, really good R&C now...A Crack in Time being the last. Deserves better.
