Making up for? This applies to ALL delayed games I trust, U4, No Man's Sky, etc, etc...
Also, a demo? What is this, the 90's!?
So, so many games available, on both home console and handheld. I can't believe the delay of one game - albeit an essential IP - has you up in arms. Take a breath.
Well, my birthday is in March. Present to myself...oh, go on then.
So many people (allegedly) would buy this Wii U game and that if it were on the yet unknown NX...rubbish! I've collected quite the library of Wii U games myself this gen, so, either support a console and it's varied and essential library of games or quit the chin music. It's people like these mouthpieces which killed the Dreamcast.
POWER - scream the uninitiated and/or nearsighted. Fact is, be it cutting-edge hardware or '''underpowered 39;, Nintendo builds games to work within said hardware's restrictions and constantly - via extremely talented developers - delivers some of the best games of all time. Personally I just ask Nintendo sticks to its guns, because, you can't please all of the people all of the time...FACT.
Did Polygon decide to grace us with a review and not something akin Star Fox Zero...well we're honoured. Clickbait trolls.
It's funny to me, people always troll Nintendo for making the same game again and again, but where as - for example - the differences between Mario Kart Wii and/or Mario Kart 7/8 could not be bigger, Sony is releasing EXACTLY the same games this gen, albeit with a fresh coat of paint (predictability). All the Sony fan boys suddenly lose sight...
Agreed, but since one part of the face-off was comparing the overall package of both SF64 and SF0, Gaurd definitely adds to said package.
Good unbiased fair review, but, not having played Gaurd when reviewing the overall package...that was a mistake.
The E3 version is the more detailed, no doubt about it.
Sony and/or Microsoft have yet earned - and perhaps never will - this 'privilege'. Nintendo kick-started the industry as we know it, has created the majority of the best games of all time AND had to navigate some key franchises in the transition from 2D to 3D - a feat neither Sony or Microsoft have needed to do. Most of the blueprints for the videogames we know today come from the desks of Nintendo.
People can say Uncharted 4 as much as they like, but in all honesty Uncharted 4 - while still solid - is the worst Uncharted to date. Overbaked.
Oh my god, you have got to be kidding me. Haha. Time will tell - I've not even played the damn game yet - but I'll wager that not only isn't it the best game EVER, its not even the best game this gen. Still, looking forward to Tuesday...
Totally agree. I love me some videogames, and some of the best in the industry have given me pure enjoyment, but yes, a really, really good movie is FAR, far more entertaining and/or thought provoking than even the best videogames.
Ive heard this rumour previous and by God do I hope it's true. I say this mainly - but not entirely - for the fact I like Nintendo to keep a good distance from what other developers are prompting, keeping Nintendo a breath of fresh air and still EASILY the best developer in the business.
'Gimmick', the trolls go-to word. PlayStation Move, Kinect...gimmicks, make no mistake. Also, don't be nearsighted enough to think videogames only appeal to either 'casuals' or the self-proclaimed 'hardcore'...it shouldn't be an either/or. Trends, that's all it is which dictates 'success' via sales.
Success (sales) or success (quality). Does Nintendo really need to heed to the self-proclaimed 'hardcore' since the very same mocked and trolled the Wii in spite of it being a runaway sales success...I think not. No, its like a certain demographic won't be happy until Nintendo releases a console near identical to 'rival' consoles. Personally, I consider both the Wii and Wii U successes for very different reasons.
As others have already addressed, best? Yes, for me, easily - but it's otherwise subjective. However, what I think only the most nearsighted troll can dispute, the Wii U has a fantastic library of games, whether it's the best or not is down to personal taste/preferences.
Too late!? A good game is a good game. This feature has in fact highlighted the problem (one of them) with the industry. It appears its less about what's good but how quickly you can bring it to market coupled with strong advertising.
Everything is so effing sales focused. It's no.1 in the charts, great, but then so are 1D and various other upstarts occasionally...
A poor list compounded by the fact Resident Evil 4 (for example) couldn't even make it into the top 25, numerous far, far lesser games could however.
