A great move for Sony, financially. A bad move for gamers, financially AND ergonomically. Way to create a 2 tier system Sony...

Reason no.1, both PS4 and/or XB1 have barely (if at all) a handle on 1080p/60fps, even if I was assured pre-launch via numerous foaming fan boys it would breeze it...different story today isn't it?

I won't lie, half a dozen positive sounding reviews aside, this hurts. I have the First Print Edition preordered and am excited to take delivery and play it myself before I give my verdict - a novel approach on these forums, granted - but the control 'issues' do appear real. I put Kirby and the Rainbow Curse aside soon after for this very reason. Like I say, I'll wait until I am playing the game myself before I dismiss it, but all signs point to concerned.

So, £14 if you were tempted to buy all 4 of them? I think you can buy Rare Replay for cheaper today...

Again with these so-called 'drought' comments...

If like me you have a job, partner, dog, family, friends and outside interests other than videogames - books, movies, sport, etc, etc . I myself struggle to keep up with games I own for my Wii U, be it retail, Indie or Virtual Console. Drought!?

I was happy seeing Kirby scoring all 9's across the board, then I glanced at Quantum Break, it also scored 9's. Sorry, but Quantum Break is a 6-7 game, no more, no less. Besides, few magazines/publications do I take as gospel, Eurogamer (IMO) being closest.

Sorry, but this 'pixar' rubbish must end. R&C(PS4) is a good looking game, great even, but Pixar quality - or even "near a Pixar movie"...rubbish. I could make the argument for SM3DW(WiiU) looking vastly superior whilst running at a flawless - and I do mean flawless - 60fps.

@Movefasta1993

Ok, you score on a technicality, but the main point is still valid...R&C(PS4) running at 30fps does not give me hope for an Arkham Trilogy - remake OR remaster - running at 60fps via PS4/XB1. Face it, both consoles have struggled to operate at 60fps while running what you could describe as a 'next gen' game, barring MGSV however, that is the best and arguably only example.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not down on either console, ...

IF Ratchet & Clank PS4 cant/wont be 60fps, what chance do you think the Arkham games have of doing so, really? Seems to me - while still good - neither PS4 and/or XB1 are quite the behemoth consoles fan boys hoped/wished they were prior to launch.

Agreed. It's like when COD was charging £55 (roughly) RRP. Sad, because usually it's those who earn their own money are put off by this - I hope, whereas brats bitch and moan until their parents cave in just to shut them up. Chav fodder for chavs, feeding chavs.

Is it just more or is DLC little more than content which should/could have been included in the final build but which is held back (intentionally) with the sole purpose of eeking out more money from brats parents?

@Sly-Lupin

So, I take it from that you aren't interested or have been in any remake, remaster or (let's be honest) rehash of previous games in any established IP? Besides, myself not included, but how about those who haven't sampled any Star Fox to date...

So many reasons why what you said is untrue and/or crap.

3636d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Why? I remember buying it at launch - blew me away. Pure innovation.

3636d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

Huh? Why, for having legitimate concerns regarding the control mechanic of said game? I've supported every major Nintendo release this gen, as Ihave done every previous gen since the SNES - no NES for me, I was a ZX Spectrum fan at that time.

The closer the release gets, the more nervous I become. I have it preordered anyhow, but I'll be honest, waiting to read some early reviews has me in bits...

Please be good, please be good, please be good.

I'm desperate to see how this plays/handles - both Guard and Zero. I'll be honest, early previews have me worried. I'm not your 'gimmick' troll, rather quite the opposite, being very much in favour of innovation and experimentation. However, where as some pay off, such as Skyward Sword - MAGNIFICENT, some less so...

This looks Doom in name alone. A sorry state of affairs for a once proud IP. Still, I'm sure those adolescent PS4/XB1 owning chavs will lap it up - you know who you are...

Ok then, based on the first 4 (major) Super Mario's - SMB, SMB2, SMB3 and SMW. Each of these Mario's brought something new to the table and as such each felt fresh and new compared to its predecessor. The same can not be said regarding Uncharted and less so with Souls.

3638d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Ok, I'll work with that...

First, you can't be speaking of Super Mario World Wii U, because NOTHING on the DS came even close - even if SMW (WiiU) and SMKL (3DS) have become accompanying pieces since.

However, putting that aside, I'm talking - sticking with Mario for now - the jumps, transitions and innovations the series has made over the many years/gens. Once either Souls and/or Uncharted had done likewise, then we can talk.

3638d ago 0 agree6 disagreeView comment

It's funny, people constantly troll Nintendo for reusing same IP after same IP, but with each Mario (for example) you can't accuse the developers for 'rehashing' the previous incarnation, however, the same accusation can definitely be leveled at the Souls/Uncharted developers. Don't get me wrong, both a good series of games, but samey, VERY samey.
