Its true, between PS4 and Xbox One - I own a Wii U and trust me, its library of must own games for that particular console is plentiful - the "must own games" is non-existent. Everything which is worth a blast on Xbox One and PS4 already exists on 360 and PS3, easily as good and 99.9& as good looking.
It appears the tables have turned, those mocking the Wii U's launch now seem to have a feeling of deja vu.
Shows how badly this gen has started for PS4 owners, specifically, me...all this fuss over a release date. I'll be very, very surprised if this "free" racer does anything which sets it apart in an otherwise crowded market, nothing the likes of which MSR (Dreamcast) did upon initial release.
That's like saying GTA - when exclusive to Sony - or Halo releasing on a particular Microsoft console wont matter...of course it does, to what extent only time will tell. Exclusives - particularly of this level - matter, MK8 will "matter", Bayonetta and X less so because besides popular belief it is games such as this which appeal to the "casuals". Bayonetta, Okami, Shenmue, etc, etc, games which people talk now as if everybody owned and played them but numbers and his...
Come on, Sonic Colours was ok-ish, sure, nothing compared with Sonic 1, 2 and Sonic CD but promising none the less.
Yes, no question - regarding the 3DS having the best gaming library. 3DS games coupled ability to play existing DS games on the same console/handheld, that AND an already good Virtual Console selection of games...yes, the 3DS is currently thee console/handheld to purchase if you don't want the wait for a large and current selection of games.
I'm not able to get involved in games such as this i.e ones in which you need many, many hours to really get the value for your money, I do however think - from what I have played - it is a game well worthy of purchasing, particularly at this price. Now I just need the price in Europe (U.K) to come down the same.
Its true, usually people who talk about the Wii U having a software drought - and it does to a point, you cant escape that fact - have a short attention span, either that or way too much time on their hands.
Difficult, very, very difficult...unless my age is simply catching up on me and my reflexes aren't what they once were. Either way its an extremely good game which not only looks stunning at times but has a wonderful soundtrack which ties the whole thing together. My only negative - if you can call it such - is that it feels a bit deja vu compared with DKCR's (Wii), for me though a better 2D "platformer" than Rayman Legends (just).
Only Stick of Truth out of the games releasing in March REALLY appeals, the rest - by the sounds of it - will simply be vanilla.
People accuse Nintendo of living in the past, that or re-releasing the same games over and over...like 1-2 every generation amounts to just how many COD's, Uncharted's or other such franchises milk the teat until its sore. Hear we are however re-living the past, asking (again) for Nintendo to live in it. I'm not saying the Wii U has had the best launch, particularly compared with other Nintendo launches, but both PS4 (I own one) and Xbox One have had arguably worse launches, hardw...
I'll stick with the Resi Evil's I currently own...Resi Remake (Gamecube), Resi 4 (Gamecube) and Resi 4 Wii Edition, this should trump any "improvements" which this new edition is peddling.
Actually no, Goldenye (N64) did (I think).
Ok, I accept that, but what is this level which both PS4 and Xbox One are CURRENTLY operating at that far surpasses anything available right now on the Wii U...I'm yet to witness it on the ground-level.
Honestly, I cant remember a time - and Ive been "gaming" since the mid-80's - in which the best selling console equalled the best. The Sega Dreamcast, NOT a good selling console but one of my favourites and a very fondly remembered console. The Gamecube, for me (arguably) thee purest games console ever released with the largest and finest selection of games.
I'm positive like the PS1, 2 and 3 the PS4 will offer great value for money and present us with some ...
Ah, ANOTHER graphic comparison "article", wonderful. Can we cover the more important matter of performance for a change. Many I see criticise the Wii U for not being current gen, even though it quite obviously is by definition, the Wii U yet has a couple of games running at 1080p/60fps and a good few more running at 720p/60fps (locked).
Now, can we agree performance is the defining factor and both PS4 and Xbox One are currently under-performing?
SSB4 done right i.e online vs, leaderboards, miiverse integration, etc, etc, well, it could just be about the only game in its genre (fighting) you will need for this entire gen. Mario Kart 8 done likewise, likewise.
I seriously believe people will be disappointed by Watch Dogs. I haven't see anything yet which shows me something to get that excited about...a solid game for sure but I'm imagining vanilla, same goes for Infamous 3.
Agreed regarding mentioning other systems, even mentioning them however still doesn't remove you from all type of "fan boy" comments, like preferring a particular developer because of past/current experiences is a crime. Yes, I prefer Nintendo for what they have offered me (games AND hardware wise) in the past - present too, so sue me.
The Sega Dreamcast gets particular mention for being a games console which - unlike Sony and Microsoft - wanted ONLY to be a gam...
Sorry, I'd be much happier to see Shenmue 3 on the Wii U, a far more suitable home for it in my opinion. It would need for me to look identical (but 60fps) to its predecessors, something I believe the Wii U is far more capable of achieving than the choppy, buggy and unfinished products we are used to seeing on Sony's console...for the record, I have owned a PS1, 2, 3 and bought a PS4 at launch.
I'm sorry, you are mixing me up with the majority of trolls on the internet. Not only do I not need to read up on him - something I have actually done (briefly), I have played the majority of his games first-hand, most of them at launch. Yes, his name is linked with some games which changed things up a bit but that's it, he is mostly PR and propaganda.
The guy himself is nothing compared to the hard working individuals around the clock getting these type of games actu...
In short...PS4/Xbox One have both had extremely poor launches and even the next few months look to offer nothing special - games-wise.
Looks at present the Wii U a far more considered purchase than any of its "rivals".
