Isn't FFVII remake coming out this Christmas, episodically?
Oh come on, GTA was a last gen game upgraded to fit our needs. Overall they did a pretty good job considering the dated engine. PS4 Pro Boost mode (no patch sadly) runs pretty tight, similar to how Witcher 3 was improved and worth checking out IMO. Still locked at 30fps, but it's stable. An I7 GTX 970 or better runs GTA 5 at 60FPS 1080p Ultra or 1440p 60FPS with a little tweaking but it STILL looks pretty damn good. I'm sure they won't be able to fix Andromeda's wonky animatio...
Have you been excited for Halo since Halo3? I haven't. Gears hold a special place in my heart and I was not disappointed with it this past year but MS needs more than hardware to get us back.
It did look sharp, so does GT but I'm not into either. Horizon 3 looks WAY better on PC via MS play anywhere which is an awesome setup for gamers like us. Still, slim pickin's for titles this E3 which means nothing new AAA other than multi-platform games for 1-2 years for MS fans
That's cause it was ready and all they had really.
True but focusing on hardware before games wasn't the smartest move considering the current market share. Games are going to shift support, not the other way around. Res bumps and effects are great and all but I just got done watching the other presentations and it's clear MS has 2 years at least to start building their base if they can deliver the games.
and 5 years from now we'll get to enjoy that game. Can't wait.
It's all about the games. I didn't see much of anything coming to Xbox One X which is surprising. Nice hardware, but without the exclusives we're just looking as resolution bumps and slighter better effects similar to PS4 Pro. That being said $499 is a lot to pay for an upgrade.
What PS4 Pro has been doing with checkerboard to 4K has been pretty impressive looking at digital foundry comparisons. 4.2 tflops vs 6tflops for Xbox One X, which is necessary to natively push those 4K pixels; but I really don't think we're going to see much of an improvement over pro with this hardware. I was disappointed not to see any major exclusives and some of the new multi-plat game engines look really impressive. Both systems will run them brilliantly. I think we're lookin...
While I did love my Dreamcast and a great many games on it, Shenmue never wowed me outside of the graphics. Hope this turns into something special.
Anything really nice these days running 1080p 60FPS Ultra PC equivalent needs to be around 4 Tflops on console, PC as well.
Let's get a show of hands. How many people are PC gaming with 8+TF beasts today?
Most md range GTX 970 /1060's do just fine for most scenarios and more than likely the market devs target.
Beyond that, how many of those PC people pipe it into a 55"+ 4K TV to really see the performance or are those 8TF+...
Meh, click bait BS headlines. PS4 pro will look fantastic. Scorpio will look slightly better if that like the diff between PS4 and PS4 Pro. Xbox 1 dev will hold this all up. Must there be such BS? Next year when the first real differences Scorpio shows, think PS4 Pro 1 year later after launch, the PS5 will be out. Then what!!! Nonsense.
Probably my most defining RPG since FFVII. Even the box came with maps and extras like old school and it's heavy. Anyone remember those old 2-4 disc sets of content? Like the Resident Evil 2 disc set with Leon, Claire and Ada kinda awesome.
Crap Engine & BS excuses where other developers have no problem in multiplayer at 1080p 60fps - All Battlefields, Any COD, Titanfall 2 and Diablo III to name a few.
Beautiful game, good story, functional yet uninspired over the shoulder combat. Definatly worth a run if you get it cheap which it is. I just can't get over those damn black bars for cinematic effect, as they say. Even "The Evil Within" patched those damn things out.
My galaxy S8+ can run this game and can also play full screen at home with a Blutooth controller from the couch. When is Nintendo going to embrace mobile tech and make billions already? Yet they focus on exclusive mobile tech based hardware, when it's the software people care about and want to play. Nintendo, I'm ready to buy all your cutsie awesome family fun games for retail price on my mobile device. Many of us are walking around with Switch capable hardware in our pockets already....
I cans see Geforce now being just fine for 1080p gaming, good luck trying to stream anything past that without input delay and artifacts. A game streaming service akin to "Onlive" (who sony bought) for everyone, as long as you're a casual gamer.
I concur, for about $25 it'll be a nice deal.
In 6-8 months this will be a nicely patched experience for around $25 bucks. Looking forward to it.
I want this game, I'm going to buy it and enjoy it soon. For fans of Wipeout, Psygnosis made another awesome game called "Rollcage" for ps1. There is a new spiritual successor to it called "Grip" on steam for PC players. It's pretty awesome for $15.99 http://store.steampowered.c... I hear it may be coming to PS4 down the road as well.
