You cannot talk about "lag" in this video by comparing the kinect overlay, because you may be seeing overlay of corresponding kinect feed *after* the lag has occured, to match the animation with frame accuracy.

It could be 0 lag (0 ms) for all I care, and judging by the pauses for mouse manipulation, it doesn't seem bad at all, but you cannot judge it by comparing the overlay of kinect feed, and you certainly cannot judge it accurately by looking at pauses for...

Sorry for the "all your base" English (does Mag have..)

Thanks.. I wonder who disagrees to a question and correct information, tho.

Does MAG has a demo with move?

Someone wondered if they were using a brand new engine, and there was a single sentence clarification.. But to make a whole blog post around it?

Let's make articles for the following:
Uncharted 3 is actually using Naughty Dog's latest engine.
Mass Effect 3 is using the latest version of modified Unreal Engine.
Killzone 3 is using the latest Killzone Engine.
MLB 2011 using the latest MLB engine.

Strange, isn't it? I was met with loads of disagrees when Gran Turismo needed rewind -at least- for replays.

-oh well, he says rewind won't be possible in the update, but slow motion will be possible.

For what it is worth, it is incompetence on the side of programmers not to be able to support rewind in replays. You see why I get disagrees, I tend to be critique of even the most holy developers.

I like Prologue's intro MUCH more. Instantly glued to the screen, I have watched it countless times, and it attracts attention from its first second. Also, the opening movie of prologue is 60fps.

GT5's opening movie is artsy fartsy, it is boring after the first time and 30fps (less fluid motion when cars take over the show)

8 to 10 years development time is crazy for a game. It cannot sell enough to recoup costs. This is crazy.

Whoever did it, whether Sony (I already know it is a very wild theory), or some backstabbing low-life (which is more probable indeed), it was stupid to have such a device that can turn any PS3 into a debug machine with limitless execution possibilities:

*In debug mode [PS3] could, in theory, at least look for signed code compiled by the latest available / allowed firmware by connecting online when such a device is in use that has code for execution. Sony could simply change...

Actually, Sony was hacked because of its own stupidity: someone leaked a usb device putting every ps3 into debug mode. The device was replicated, from then on, very little work had to be done to get backups running. Very little as in "I don't understand a single line of hack code", it is still an achievement in itself, but the hard work was done by Sony.

I don't understand why they needed to have such a debug functionality. For repair or whatever, it is st...

Yeah, it'd better not alienate 95% of the users. They should be talking about not alienating the 5%

Argh.. he says: "on the graphics side: we pulled a level from Killzone 2 into the Killzone 3 engine and it ran at 50 percent. That’s how much power we’ve been able to find,” he said."

Imagine Killzone 2 at 60fps. Damn, I wish they had gone for that. But that's not people want. All people would say the game wasn't looking better, even if it ran twice the speed. Screenshots FTL, trying to look good for screenshots is what matters these days.

Resolution is overrated. Last time I checked, I was enjoying a high def movie at 720p. Not even 1080p. What I saw was good enough resolution to count the pores on the actors' skin. Of course the immense amount of anti-aliasing helps, but that's not what makes a photographic picture. We need better rendering technologies, not necessarily higher resolution. All the PC guys do is amp the aa, amp the anisotropic filtering, amp the resolution. Animation and AI hasn't seen the same leve...

I will trademark TOMATO SOUP.

Ultimate is used to define a lot of nouns. This is silly, although legal.

Ultimate Fighting. How original!

Thanks for the info.

I don't understand why people are disagreeing!

Do they think Xenos doesn't have tesselation, or do they think it is currently feasible to have tesselation on the Xbox?

5657d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

This is concept art. People can't even tell brush strokes from a computed particle system.

I'm sure Uncharted 3 will be the best looking game of its time, but, I mean, come on.

5657d ago 7 agree2 disagreeView comment

I agree, the resolution won't be enough further away.

Certainly, games may require to stay away from screen, but some games may require you to sit real close to kinect, those which want to track the fingers. There's so much information that can be pulled from fingers and hand position alone, no need to get the legs into question.

5657d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Xenos has hardware tessellation support, btw. But I don't know if games use it, performance-wise it may not be feasible.

5657d ago 2 agree11 disagreeView comment

I'm laughing at people who claimed Kinect Hack attempts would go nowhere without Microsoft's libraries.

What I'm seeing here is that the fingers are being tracked, which is a very good thing for Kinect.

Having said that, minority report style UI's are very tiresome, and these type of interfaces are not practical for long time use.
