Very convincing crashes in your video. Crashes over 100mph makes the car swirl around, sometimes even fly off and turn like a feather in a strong wind (take a look at some nasty Nascar crashes)..
This is what I was expecting from Gran Turismo along with some kind of rewind function, but it didn't deliver. A rewind function is very hard to implement, it must be a programmers nightmare in physics based situations, but I applaud Codemasters for their outstanding achievemen...
Dirt solves this through its rewind future. Even small bumps deforms the car, like you'd expect. A heavy crash results in car totalling, end of race. But you can rewind, unless you are in teh hardcore mode. So those who don't want the feature can either not use it at all, or play in hardcore mode.
Well he does a lot of climbing in that video, which doesn't hurt his chances!
I don't think the thumbnail is SFW.
He might be trying to play the good guy for a change. He always talked about more profit, now this. It doesn't make sense. He's just fooling with us, I guess. (I agree with what he says now, about used games)
A demo would be nice after all these reviews, let people decide for themselves, now that there are bad reviews, we should be able to give it a go before buying it..
I think it would be a nice workout, and more symmetric than single move games (my one arm was achy after table tennis..), this should give a work out for whole upper body and in a much more symmetric fashion.
I agree. Most fun I ever had with multiplayer was with BF1942, and things were not tracked.
The new disappear animations are CRAZY awesome. The melting especially.
I'd rather they have a fly animation when you used the grabinator, tho, it suddenly pops into your hand, and I don't think this plays well with LBP's ultra physics based gameplay. Instead of popping, objects could fly fast to your hand. It would look nicer. They could permenantly disable collisions if this is what they were afraid of. It would look more phyical, without the contraint of phys...
PS2 only had 32mb. I can't believe the amount of stuff they can squeeze out of that machine.
Lately, I've had problems playing in a full server at times, however many players are still playing it, it put me in half empty matches that didn't get full. Maybe a problem with match making. This happened during certain hours, but it didn't happen during launch.
Killzone 2, however, always put me in near full servers! Good for Killzone 2 :) Just checked out as KZ3 is coming. Maybe other people were doing the same, too.
Yes, the facial animation is superb, as far as I've seen in videos. It could be the best facial expressions in a game I've seen so far.
But less than I thought. The tech is nice. Microsoft would have a winner in their hands if they gave players just one button for each hand.
That makes sense.. Thanks for sharing your experience..
As long as I don't get raped, I can stay in prison quite a long time without much bother, if I could play consoles. Good for the inmates. Actually, too good.
@raztad:
I agree, 60fps would reduce the input lag. What I meant was, 30hz of input would be more laggy than 60hz input, but, the input doesn't need to be polled at the same frequency for the game to work at those speeds. Say you keep your game at 60fps, 10hz of input would have more input lag than 30hz input, and 30hz input would have more input lag than 60hz, the most ideal of course having a 60hz input for a 60fps game.
And someone earned from that game 330.000 usd. He apparently bought it from another user of the game.
Now what if that palace was replicated 1000 times in the game.. The sudden inflation of palaces would render his palace worthless. (Not that it is worthy now, but you get the idea..). Could he sue the entropia devs for making him poorer?
Strange times we live in.
I lolled at the youtube comment: "He drunk the oil"
I had said this before: I want a car wash mode, move enabled. I'd rather wash my virtual car than my virtual pet :D
So far, the new maps were actually modified versions of old maps. These are truly new maps to the game.
Maybe they are giving us these so late on purpose. To give people the message that holding on to their game is worth it even after 6 months.
I agree with you on some points, but I commend their dedication to keep COD running at 60fps. That's a great achievement, considering you don't hear many complaints about the game's looks. The game looks good, and it runs at 60fps.
When you get the crash "cosmetic" physics so right, it would be VERY easy to implement real damage affecting performance, as the game knows exactly what part of the car went awry.
In dirt 2 (because I didn't play dirt 1), you can have visual only damage, and damage affecting gameplay, btw.
