Basketball is a "contact" sport, there's loads more human-human interaction in basketball compared to other sports, even football. So getting the animation right would need the likes of the euphoria engine where the possibilities are not pre-determined but decided real time. Making the animation realistic would also mean some latency as normally shots can be made after the body configures itself, and it takes time in real life. The balance is very hard to get. But I think the tr...
With all these improvements, I think I'm going to puke if any journalist criticizes KZ3 for being much of the same of KZ2.
Imaginary quote:
"Aside from improved graphics, controls, gameplay, more weapons, more single player, more variety in environments, split screen co-op, more vehicles, 3d support; KZ3 is much the same as KZ2, I'd have expected more from GG."
Lol at Arup02's really cautious stance not to get disagrees for his first comment. Oh, the ways of N4G.
Oh well. That's what this guy is probably doing. Anytime you login, your garage should be verified against an online hash of some sort, since sending this is an online activity. The best would be cloud saving your garage, but since that won't be happening, a simpler check of your garage contents could have been implemented.
Then again, I'm not sure exactly if backing up and sending car is a bad thing to do.
90% of games I have, I buy new. So when I have to buy another vip pass / online pass for my litle brother for him to enjoy on his account instead of mine, I feel betrayed. So we have to share identities, but is it too much to ask to have my own statistics without having to pay extra? Such passes could at least work like PSN DRM, shared on the PS3 the account is activated.
They need to find a better solution to this.
At least Activision is not trying to sell you online / vip passes. Two people in the same household needing to buy their own online / vip passes for a single disc.
If they had blocked the sharing, I'd have bought *less than half* of the games I bought now. I share with my brother tho, not some random guy from the Internet. Because we can split the fee when we both want the game, we buy more than double!
In fact, since he doesn't have a credit card, and PSN cards are not sold in my country, he wouldn't have bought anything, because I buy for him in my account. There are several games in my account, some of which I never played becaus...
I like my Move games, but I'm also glad for the ps3, 2011 is not "all about the Move".
Considering popcap released bejewelled on PSN with 640x480 or some other low res graphics, without bothering to re-do any 2d art, this is quite remarkable.
I still can't see Vietnam in the UK store.. Any news?
Do you guys seriously think MS reduced the cost of Kinect by reducing the resolution through software? That's not clever, OR cost reducing. If their hardware supported such resolutions, they should have supported it from beginning, as it doesn't save costs. It will probably cut down processing overhead and latency, tho. That's the only reason they could lower the res through software. Otherwise, it would be very stupid of them.
It costs money to make firmware, y...
Asking companies to sell products for direct hardware cost is worse than asking game companies to sell their games for DVD / Bluray disk cost ($1?), yet the games sell for $40-60.
There's of course going to be costs associated with research and development, just as games are being made by people who need to earn their bread.
Although, one thing to keep in mind is the extra ordinary amount of money spent by MS to market the thing. The marketing costs w...
The shopping mall scene in heavy rain wasn't so that we could save the child, it would be foolish to ask that from the game. What it does, instead, was to put you in the shoes of a desperate father trying to find his son in such a setting. It was up to you to call Jason as many times as you can.
A friend played the game and his ending was totally different from mine.
This promotion is great. This will also provide new players for battles, those who play for free.
@alpha-male:
plus users can play the game as much as they can without paying, their levels are capped. They can't get anymore generous than this, can they?
So even Kinect is not an Xbox exclusive?
@deadlyspartan: So you wanted playstation to cost 900 dollars at launch? Of course they couldn't sell as many ps3's at that price.
Rewind in replays, awesome...
Rage will look very good, and display twice as many frames compared to 95% percent of next gen games. So that's to be commended. Screenshots and 30fps videos do not do such games justice!
