I do believe they count the copies that sale with consoles in their numbers. Regardless, the numbers are very impressive for all the Wii titles and GT5:P.
The PS3 is really dominating the 360 in software sales in Europe... even if you subtract the GT5:P sales (although the sales are MUCH closer then).

Well Pacther has always been pretty close when it comes to forcasts... b/c it is what he is paid to do for his investors.
He often shares his opinions on other game related issues which sometimes come true, and other times he flops. As an analyst, he just makes educated guesses... but when it comes to sales trends & forecasts, he has usually been right so far this gen.
Crab, you're in denial. Either that or you didn't play Ratchet & Clank. The in-game quality of the game was just as good as the cutscenes... b/c they DID NOT use any cgi. It was all the same assets for cutscenes as for gameplay... or do you not comprehend what that means???
At any rate, Resistance 2 looks leap years ahead of Gears and definitely looks better than what's been shown of Gears 2 so far.

Perhaps you've been absent from the internet for a while... But Uncharted took the gfx crown from Gears nearly 1/2 a year ago.
Even with UT3, the pre-release screens were vastly better looking than the actual game. Gears 2 will look good. And MAYBE it will be the best looking game on the 360 when it comes out. But it definitely won't be the best looking game on all consoles.
Based on those scans, Gears 2 will not be setting the graphical bar again... sorry to dash any feelings. But both KZ2 & Resistance 2 have already shown far more graphical detail from their games. The recently released R2 trailer is simply amazing. Resistance 2 will likely be the best looking game across all consoles this year.
Not true... They still have quite a few exclusives left. However, the ONLY reason I'll be purchasing them is b/c I happen to already have a 360. But truthfully, they don't have any exclusives coming out this year that I would have bought the system for. Even more truthfully, my 360 purchases are going to be limited to how much money I have left after buying some of the awesome games coming to the PS3 this year. It's not that the 360 doesn't have any exclusives left... it just lacks the high c...
Well... analysts had been worried that the 360 was losing steam if you look back to articles from Jan 2007. But the point is.... they were right. Sales did pick back up in the fall of that year... but both of the new consoles for that year (Wii & PS3) sold more than the 360 did (worldwide sales)! And the PS3 did so while costing $200 more and having less games. With the PS3 outselling the 360 in the U.S. now too... they had better have some REALLY GREAT tricks left up their sleeves.
There weren't any shortages... both Jan & Feb 360's were readily available at Walmart and most online retailers here in the U.S. That was just Microsoft's excuse.
They would not have lowered the price in Europe if they were having shortages... that's just economics 101: supply and demand. You don't lower your prices when your product is in such high demand that it is hard to find! Otherwise lowering your price cannot have the effect of selling more hardware... b/c you don'...
This preview is FULL of spoilers. I started to read and had to quit! Please beware of spoilers before reading.
I think they realized how late they were in getting their preview out and so they had to include stuff that wasn't in the dozen or so other articles that have popped up.
Remember these are just scans... how the actual gameplay sections will come out is still up in the air. I'm sure the game will look great but I'm still pretty doubtful of how much more they'll be able to squeeze out of the Unreal Engine.
You're by yourself there buddy. The story in Resistance is MUCH more engaging than Epic... Epic's strength is definitely not in good stories. The scans look fantastic though. This may be the 360's one saving grace... however, still doesn't look like enough for me to buy another 360 with the likes of MGS4, KZ2, & R2 on the PS3 (although, except for the backgrounds, these scans look just as good as the R2 scans did). I'll wait to see actual gameplay footage.
You're wrong... b/c KZ2 alpha footage looked better than both Resistance and R&C. Resistance 2 may look as good or better than KZ2. But the point is that GG has been WORKING all this time to make sure their game met a certain standard. If they had released the game earlier and the visuals were at the same standard as Resistance or R&C, then hype for the game would be dead b/c they promised to deliver cutting edge visuals. Well personally I prefer for exclusives to stay exclusive. What's the point in having different systems if they all have the same games. That's why I really applaud Sony and their first party devs... with the exception of Bioshock and Mass Effect, Sony has truly had the most impressive exclusives on their system this gen.

Me too. One of my favorite action games. I have no doubt that the action will be fun as hell... the graphics are a little less than what I've been expecting though. I'm sure the gameplay will make up for it...
@Shaka... it does move at 60fps. Not sure of the resolution but 720p really is just as good imo. However, I do agree that the gfx don't seem as impressive as the 1st game did when it came out.
Haven't got to the section on MGS4 yet... but they seem like jerks when it comes to any game though, not just the PS3 & MGS4. They don't even seem like real fans of gaming!!!
Have you guys seen the gameplay vids? I really do want to be excited for this game... it just doesn't look much good. Plus, 100 vs. 100 is for the PC only... the capacity on 360 hasn't been announced yet.
Left 4 Dead sure doesn't look like much graphically, but it does look like it will be awesome when it comes to the gameplay!
