The color thing really comes down to a matter of opinion I think. I like the look of the PS3 version better. But not so much b/c of the color... the better anti-aliasing on the PS3 version does make a pretty distinct difference to me... Looks much sharper. Of course, I wouldn't care if I hadn't seen them side by side though.
I've definitely become interested in the title... probably the best game to pull off that GTA style of combat... besides well, GTA IV! But as awesome as the combat looks.... Am I the only one that feels the graphics still look a little last gen for the PS3 & 360?
Not bashing the game... as I will clearly be buying it anyway. But I haven't been wowed by the visual presentation.
Yea, that's the only issue with the game for me... and even then it's freakin fun as hell!!! Headshots fix it fine... with the right gun, bodyshots aren't as big of a problem either. The gameplay is awesome... I love CQC too!
Actually, I've found it to be more fun than most other online games this gen. With a little balancing to address the clip to the body issue, this game could be online bliss! The deep customization options and weapon selection (plus, inclusion of Drebin points online) will really make this an addictive experience.
I wish I didn't have to work tomorrow so that I could play all day!
The fields have a few empty boxes strewn about them... so everytime you see a box it's not a real person. So if action is hectic, it's easy to ignore a box.
The server is working just fine for me, and I live in Atlanta! Maybe some of you got Jap or EU beta codes and that's why it's not working??? Konami warned that beta codes from other regions would not work I believe.
Just started the beta and it is pretty SWEEET!!! It really is Metal Gear online... all the stuff you'd expect to be able to do as an elite genome soldier is here. And the customizable skill system is REALLY deep.
Yea, this same exact interview got posted yesterday. Late news.
Yes, mic support was confirmed on the playstation blog Q&A.
That's what I was wondering too... He says Just Blaze a few times. Or maybe Just Blaze is the one doing the contest... b/c he never really says that he IS Just Blaze. He also said something about gimme a beat, but a PS3 would be nice too. Either way, it's cool to see that rpg's have crossed so many demographics.
The game ID site is working fine now.
But yea, this is really disappointing. The same thing happened with the Warhawk beta though. We had network problems for nearly a week... used to get kicked off after about 2-3 min of playing. Although, at least we were able to get logged on and play for a lil bit before getting kicked off, huh. But the point is that allowed the developers to work on their end and eventually we were up and running smoothly. Warhawk is still the most stable...
Of course I've seen Too Human lately. And yes, it still reeks of major suckage. The combat in Too Human still looks below average. The animation sucks in that game as well. And for all the hype the graphics are still below average. I think it might have an interesting story... but I don't want to have to put up with playing the game to find out! There are some cool elements to the game... if the combat didn't look so lame, I'd be interested in the rpg-like customization options. But for the m...
I hope this makes it out this year. This one is worth looking forward too. Too Human just continues to SUCK everytime I see it, but I think this could take it's place as being the action rpg game to look for!
The animations aren't that great and it still needs some more polish. But it's looking good enough that I'd check it out even in its current condition.
Even though they've been releasing new screenshots & such lately... I'm still kind of doubtful that this game will even come out. I will reserve judgement until I see the gameplay trailer... if it looks good, I'll give them credit and they might just earn my interest. Otherwise, this isn't really one of the games I'm looking forward to yet.
I'm looking forward to this like it's the real thing!!! I'm not even buying GTA IV until the beta is over... since it only lasts two weeks, it's going to get my total attention as long as it lasts... And then I'll use GTA IV to soak up my attention until MGS4 finally releases!
I favor the PS3 of all my consoles, but looking at the facts today... I think the Wii may win... unless ppl just start getting tired of the cheap technology in the next 2 yrs or so... but by then, it could be so far ahead it won't matter.
At any rate, it's pretty obvious at this point that the PS3 is going to beat the 360. But the race b/w the PS3 and the Wii will last a LOT longer... maybe down to the start of the next gen.
That's why I'm going with the PS3 version personally. I don't play my 360 as much anymore & in the case that I get rid of it, I want to keep GTA IV. Plus, it just seems like a playstation game to me.
The episodic content really doesn't mean anything to me b/c I've never finished a GTA game as is... plus we don't even know what we're getting with the episodic content AND it's not free anyway... so I'll pass on the 360 version.
It seems to me that Microsoft is in a panic. They spent $50M on their exclusive content and this is their last big push...
Still, I think they will sell more copies purely for the fact that they do have a vastly larger install base in the U.S. still. I'm just not sure what victories they think this will win them... it's obviously not helping them to sell any more consoles.
Dead Rising 2 will not be an exclusive, Capcom is not making exclusives for either system. Bioshock 2 is not likely to be an exclusive if Take Two gets bought out... which seems like it will happen after GTA IV releases.... of course that means that GTA5 would not be exclusive either though.
At any rate, I'm buying the PS3 version.
Anyone that claimed about the first footage being 'too dark', or still not meeting the target from the '05 target render have now been COMPLETELY OWNED!!! That game is looking freakin sweeeet!!! Truly the best looking game I've seen this gen now. Hope the gameplay can hold up. Can't wait to hear a release date announced!
