Some people like the game, some people think it is kind of mediocre. This will probably be one of those cult favorites that appeals to a core audience but does not translate into much retail success... much like the first Fable actually... and half of the PS2 rpg library for that matter.
I don't like the art style and the combat doesn't seem very engaging for me... I think I'll pass. But others may like it.
The game is not out yet is it?
Yes, but now you're hearing about them directly from the developer..... sooo, there's really nothing for you to argue.
I think this is the case too. Because I expect them to have issues porting the game to 360 if they are building it around blu ray/cell/rsx first and foremost.
This is definitely a major blow to PS3 diehards. They get the game either way... but #1, it kind of makes me think that the game won't be as great as it could have been, and #2, it will definitely hurt overall PS3 sells.
If true, I wonder what caused such a dramatic turn around?!!! Great for Sony... but those numbers just seem unbelievable. BUT that would definitely mean Sony does not need to respond to a price cut before the holiday if they can maintain the momentum. And I hope they can.
If you don't see the visual bliss in this game, you sure as hell don't see it in Gears 2 either! I own both systems and look forward to both games... but there is just no contest when it comes to visuals. I do agree that there is too much bashing on this site. But PS3 fans had to go through a lot of bashing about a year ago... so it's just payback, that's all.
Yea, this is bad news for Forza fans that used to compare the series to Grand Turismo.
The console versions won't look bad... but they obviously won't look as good as these vids either. It will be interesting to see what the actual difference is though.
WOW. I didn't upgrade my pc for Crysis... but I'm going to have to now. And I'll probably pick up FarCry, Crysis, The Witcher, and Diablo III when I do so... very good times for PC gamers.
I was more upset when I thought that they'd actually let Snake die... that is not how I want to see my favorite video game hero go out. Suicide is a coward's way out anyway, there's no honor in that!
What hardcore fans weren't happy with the ending? I'm a hardcore fan that liked the way this game put an ending to the series... it wrapped up every thread. The internet is full of MGS fans that are happy with the ending... in fact, this is the first I'm hearing of anyone NOT happy with the ending. The wedding bits stretched a little too long, but other than that, I enjoyed the way they wrapped it up. So I'm not really sure where your info is coming from.
what is griefing???
LOLOLOL.
I don't understand why they're so far ahead the rest of the pack... but d@mn, that game looks hot!!! Personally, I appreciated the gameplay graphics that we'd already seen... they did look better than Bioshock's from last year, and I thought that was a beautiful game. But if they get the gameplay graphics to look close to those cinematic graphics, then I think I'll end up prefering this to Gears 2 this winter!!! (I'm speaking in the gfx department, R2 already has the better features in gamepl...
Well, I'm just interested in seeing reviews since the previews are all over the place... can't tell if the game is going to be good or bad. This is likely going to be one of those love it or hate it type games. But it almost seems like it's shaping up to be the 360's Lair.
You haven't played MGS4. The chances are actually quite small. They would have to edit quite a bit of code in order to make it happen... and that's in addition to porting the game.
#1 I don't really understand why people would have a problem playing games again that they paid for... I think giving me a reason to play through a game again ADDS value to the game.
#2 There were problems with people cheating on XBox Live by downloading other peoples save files too. They may have addressed the problem now though, I'm not sure.
I'm not really sure how this will work in a game like Warhawk... I guess you would just get trophies for all of your achievements moving forward... it's not exactly as if you can 'complete' the game anyway.
But I really don't mind having to play games again to get trophies... similar to achievements, it gives me a reason to play them again. I'm looking forward to it!
Yes, The PS3 Naruto game does have open world missions in addition to the Battle mode.
