I never bought it to begin with. The main reason being i don't use my Switch for online multiplayer, that's what my PS4 is for. I don't use my Xbox One for multiplayer either.
If i had access to a vast back catalogue of NES, SNES and N64 games (not a rotating roster, not a few at a time, just a huge catalogue available at all times) as well as cloud saves for all my games including the back catalogue of games, then i would definitely pay for the service. I curre...
I couldn't get into the first Nioh (played like 5 hours and got bored from tedium) and Sekiro didn't capture me either, think i beat two bosses and never played it again.
I play games to relax, but forced myself to complete Dark Souls 3 just to say i've had the experience of playing and beating a souls-like. I think it burnt me out on that genre. I just found it tedious instead of an accomplishment fighting the same thing over and over to finally beat them.
I'd have to go with Witcher 3 even though the game i've enjoyed the most was Horizon Zero Dawn.
Personally i'd put it in the handheld market, not the home console market. It's a great device for those that enjoy those Nintendo style games (i generally don't).
What determines generations? Just the year it comes out?
I so wish they'd release a powerful console version or a dock with in built extra GPU power. I only play docked and the graphics leave a lot to be desired on a TV for a lot of games. I'd love to play Zelda native 1080p minimum with some actual antialiasing.
They’ll both be significantly more powerful the the One X or PS4Pro and that’ll do.
My One X definitely looks and plays better than my PS4Pro (a game like Witcher 3 I’ll always play on my One X over my Pro), but I definitely play my PS4Pro far more because it has more games I want to play.
I’ll get both and whichever has more games I like wil get played more. Simple.
I was a die hard Nintendo fan until the Wii. By then i had 'grown up' and just wasn't interested in motion controls. Also the the types of games focused more on younger gamers and fans of japanese style games. The just lost me as they didn't match my gaming interests anymore after the GameCube.
I'm definitely a Sony fan these days (I own a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and Switch). Since the PS3, Playstation has been my preferred brand. The exclusives are where th...
Did they honestly patch it? I played it like a month ago and it still looked awful on my PS4 pro, blurry compared to other platfroms.
Still a blurry mess on PS4 pro though?
No. Got to the point i gave up playing it because it looked so bad.
Personally i just think that means any Xbox exclusive games won't be the best they can be. If they're being made to also work on Xbox One, it means certain things will be cut back to make sure it works on both systems. Yes the series X version will probably have higher quality textures and load faster, but compromises will need to be made somewhere as the game is developed to ensure it can be scaled to run on Xbox One. I don't think that's a good thing.
I gu...
I guess i'll just get a PS5 on launch then. May as well keep using my Xbox One X for a year or so after Series X launches. If they want me to get a Series X on launch, it needs exclusives, not a bit of a graphics improvement.
I’ve only just picked this up and have been playing for about 3 days.
It’s fun, but I’ve never played a console multiplayer shooter so unfriendly to new players.
The perk cards etc make a big difference and higher level players with upgraded perks and weapons killing me in two shots while I’m emptying a whole gun into them can be a bit disheartening.
I know I’ll build up and get better, but they really should segregate players until the...
Vanquish looked fun but never got around to playing it, so might give it a go. Never liked Bayonetta. Too chaotic on screen and overly silly for my tastes.
Adding an easy mode for people who want easy doesn't have to affect you.
If the game is built for hard (like a souls game) and easy just means more forgiving parry, more health, less damage from enemies etc and it makes easy mode less engaging, more shallow experience, that's fine. Let those poeple play easy and get that experience. And that's all it needs to be. People can enjoy a story, some simple game play and get through the game.
I'm...
Yeah like the Wii, the Switch store is full of shovelware.
I just can't get into my Switch. I prefer more mature games and enjoy playing on a bigger screen.
All of the multi platform games look and run betting on my Xbox and Ps4, so i just don't play my Switch. I really only bought it for Zelda and Metroid 4. It was a great game, just a shame it doesn't look very good on a bigger screen (jagged edges all over the place).
It's on me though. I'm the one who impulse bought it even though i don...
It's about feeling good in yourself that you beat a game while getting joy out of others not being able to beat it. Nothing more. Purely selfish reasons and nothing more.
What that comes down to is people thinking they're 'cool' because they play a hard game and they get personal joy out of others not being able to play or finish the game.
Adding an easy mode is nothing like removing guns from a game with guns. Honestly, this argument for adding easy mode to games sees some of the most ridiculous 'counter arguments' i've ever read.
Always good to play on the platform that suits you. I like being in the same room as my partner, relaxed on the couch with a controller in my hands, so i'll have both next gen consoles in my gaming trolley on wheels in front of the couch. I used to play on PC, but i like having 'the best' of what i'm using, so upgrades got expensive. Also i'd be stuck in another room at a desk. Then sometimes you'd have compatibility issues. These days an easy to use games console in m...
