Yeah I keep thinking about it to. I thought the story was fantastic. Abby probably ended up being my favourite character by the end. Wish they were doing some DLC. I’d love some more single player story set in that world.
I think people worry about this a bit too much. Even though nice things were said about PS5, they didn’t make bad remarks about XSX. People getting a bit butthurt I think.
With the use of Unreal Engine in movies and tv now, for a huge entertainment company like Sony, it makes perfect sense. And if they can get any exclusive advantages for PS5 along the way, why wouldn’t they? They’re a business.
It is a tired old franchise now. I'd be quite happy to never see another Gears game ever again.
Abby tried to find redemption in Lev. Up until the very end, Ellie still couldn't let it go that Joel basically got what he deserved and left Dina behind after Abby had already given her a chance to go on and live her life.
Ellie comes across as a worse person than Abby.
I think the problem is more trying to shoehorn games onto the platform that shouldn't be there due to the technical restrictions of the device.
If this is strictly streaming without being able to download the file and play from your console, then as a solution to Xbox's backwards compatibility, it's a pretty poor option. There's so many countries PS Now isn't even available in because streaming games doesn't work with their internet infrastructure. Almost seems a waste of time if that's the case.
If it is just cloud storage for the games and you can actually download a file to play, then it&...
Because i've been out of PC gaming for a few years, i kind of thought 4K 60FPS would be a given on next gen consoles.
Then i saw a 2080Ti can't run AC Odyssey at 60FPS at 4K ultra settings on PC.
Reality check for me.
I tried it. Thought it was just as bad as the last one. As for the new DLC, they burnt me with Shadowkeep which i thought was an awful DLC.
Yeah, true there.
Are we using this as an excuse for the horrible state of the game now? I gave up on it.
Please, tell me the catastrophic consequences of people loving someone of the same sex or dressing and identifying however they like and us as a society, normalising that.
Should women go back to covering their ankles?
Disagree personally. The game play felt really refined and the attention to detail in those mechanics (pulling arrows out, taking melee weapons from enemies, good sneaking mechanics, running and jumping into prone, the rope/power cord physics and climbing, improved skill trees and crafting) all felt really good. As a whole the game play wasn't revolutionary, but it felt great to me. I was sad when it ended as i just wanted to keep playing.
As far as the story goes, love...
But she did become a villain. I had far more sympathy for Abby by the end of the game. As soon as Ellie chose to leave the farm, she became a villain in my eyes.
Only thing i'd say about this case is that i wouldn't take the opinion on a game from a person who knew they weren't going to like the game.
I generally hate JRPGs. I think they're convoluted, bad menus, ridiculous stories and i generally hate the art style. Why would anyone care what i have to say about JRPGs then?
If those load time differences were similar over multiplatform games, as i'll be getting both consoles, that would be my main deciding factor over which console i'd buy the game for.
The big difference between I/O speeds on the consoles comes down to hardware, so a firmware update will never get Series X near the SSD speeds PS5 can do.
I agree that both consoles are going to be great. I just hope Xbox do better with their exclusives this time as X...
Maybe they wanted clarification so they can use that feedback to improve future games?
Once thing the gaming community has shown clearly is 'please give us stock standard stories and don't try anything new or different with stories and characters or we will be outraged and give you death threats. We'll also review bomb your game without having even played it'.
By the end, i actually quite liked Abby. She honestly came across as a better person than Ellie to me.
By the end of the game i was actually more sympathetic to Abby than i was to Ellie.
While i didn't think it was realistic in that world that Abby would be that buff (hours a day in the gym and the amount of food she would have to eat), she worked for me as a character. I was more sympathetic to her than i was to Ellie by the end of the game.
It is inevitable that games prices will increase at some stage. Games like God of War and TLOU2 are estimated to have cost around 100 million to make. I think it's completely fair games like that end up with some sort of price increase. As we move into next gen games with increased fidelity, motion capture etc, production costs will just continue to go up.
What they should be doing is pricing games appropriate to their development cost and what you get out of them. A 15...
