This story gave me AIDS
I own a PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and a Switch. If i could only own one console, it would be my PS4 Pro by a mile. All comes down to console exclusives for me and the types of games I enjoy. The Xbox and Switch have hardly anything to interest me. I only bought the One X to play multiplatform single player games at higher quality than my PS4 Pro and the Switch I really only got for Metroid 4 (what a debacle) with the opportunity to play Zelda in the meantime.
Get whichever consol...
It’s good it has some of the top indie games that have been released, but damn is that store full of shovelware!
Aww, sad boy thinks liking Nintendo makes him cooler than other people. Sad boy is also delusional.
If you’re into Nintendo franchises that are ‘kiddy’ or games that are ‘japanesey’, there’s a fair bit coming. If you’re not, there’s hardly anything coming.
If you’re a Nintendo franchise fan, lots for you. If not, slim pickings.
I’ll play the Zelda remake as that and Metroid are the only Nintendo franchises I’m still into now that I’m older. Marvel UA3 is the only other one I’m interested in.
I really wish Nintendo would make a powerful home console with more range of games like GameCube had, but oh well, at least my wife uses the switch.
Personally I’m quite enjoying Anthem. It’ll get old after some endgame, but as long as they add content, I’ll come back to play it, just like with Destiny.
Really like the combat and movement.
I’m thoroughly enjoying the game persoanlly. Looking forward to future content updates and I’ll just play other games in between like I do with Destiny.
Yes it has many shortcomings that definitely deserve critique, but there’s also some obvious EA bashing going on with this game. I saw people bashing the voice acting, character models and facial animations. Nah, you’re making up stuff to pick on if you’re complaining about those things, they’re actually great.
All comes down to personal preference. I think the only Switch exclusive I’m particularly interested in this year is Ultimate Alliance 3. Maybe the Zelda remake just for something to do here and there. Other than that, my Switch will go unplayed apart from my Mrs playing Yoshi. I’m just not into these more ‘childish’ Nintendo franchises anymore (more power to you If you enjoy them). I really bought it just for BoTW and Metroid 4 (don’t get me started on that debacle).

I couldn’t bring myself to finish Odyssey. I’m just over the ‘kid friendly’ Nintendo franchises, they can’t keep my interest anymore. Now that I’m older, really only more ‘adult’ oriented western RPGs can keep me entertained for the long haul. I’m really just waiting for Metroid, my Switch gathers dust for now.
It honestly seems like Nintendo fans are the most loyal, blindly fanatical video game fans there are. A good friend is a massive Nintendo fan and openly admits he’ll blindly suck up anything they produce. I blame no one but myself for buying a Switch that sits around gathering dust.
I’m disappointed personally. I don’t like most of the ‘Japanesey’ games that release on Nintendo systems (jrpgs etc), I’m also older and no longer have interest in their franchises that still feel geared towards kids (Mario, Donkey Kong etc). I really only bought the Switch for Zelda and Metroid and it seems like that’s all I’ll get that’s worthwhile playing for me. Was very disappointed at no announcement of Metroid prime trilogy or re-releases of wind waker/twilight princess/skyward sword. ...
I guess that makes you a Nintendo slave.
There’s just so much shovelware though. Looking through the store now and then , I skip so many junk games that are just awful.
I’m absolutely fine with remasters and re-releases, but there’s none of the ones I want. All the previous Zelda games, Metroid prime trilogy, high quality remasters of some of the best GameCube games, where are they?
Pretty subjective. My Switch gathers dust because it doesn’t really have any games I want to play, most of them are indie, ‘kiddy’ or old ports. I’ve got a PS4 Pro with exclusives in game styles I love (HZD, Spider-Man, God Of War) and my Xbox One X I play most of the single player multi platform games on for the beefed up graphics (thoroughly enjoying AC Odyssey at the moment).
If you love Nintendo franchises and Japanese style games above all else, I’m sure you’d love the...
Yeah, you’d have to implement an entire cover system to make third person work. Too late in development to do that now.
Third person isn’t going to work very well now when the game doesn’t have a dedicated cover system. It was built for first person and they’d have to do a lot of work now to make third person work (like putting in an entire cover system). While I personally would have preferred third person, I’d say it’s too far gone to put in now without massive delays. I still think it looks amazing and will but on release.
Tried the 3DS version. Thought it was awful. Tried the WiiU version. Thought it was awful. Tried the Switch demo. Thought it was awful.
Monster Hunter World was excellent though.
It’s possible it could just be a dock upgrade. Quite feasible. I look at Zelda in docked mode and get so annoyed by the horrible antialiasing (we’ll, lack there of). I don’t even care if it was 4K, if I can play at 1080p with good antialiasing, I’d buy it.
There’s no need for the Switch console itself to run at 4K unless hooked up to a bigger screen. No ‘switch’ upgrade needed, just a dock upgrade.
Anyone remember the memory upgrade for N64?
Typical click bait article to cause arguments.
