@ dedicatedtogamers
my statements weren't meant to be "time sensitive," so pointing out when the last time MS contributed to the PC gaming community, doesn't somehow make my statements invalid - contributions are contributions. In addition, I never once said anything about MS "helping" PC gaming - those were your words. I was simply pointing out that without them, gaming (PC and console) world be in a much different place, and likely wouldn't h...
@Morganfell
"And as many of us have known for years and Steam on Linux is proving, Linux it is a superior OS for gaming vs Windows.
Your argument about gaming needing Windows is full of fail. It's the other way around."
- I never implied games "need" Windows to play games, in the context that without Windows, there would be no other way to play them, but rather that currently, many PC games are played on it, so without...
The only gamers where specs play a big part, are PC gamers/PC enthusiasts, since that is the platform where users are responsible for getting the most out of their systems.
On paper, PS4 appears to have the more powerful hardware, but seeing that each console's hardware goes about things differently, and thus developers will have to develop games differently on each as well, the numbers aren't some sort of indisputable fact proving that all games will play and look b...
@ windblowsagain
"Microsoft should piss off and gaming would be better for it."
- That would mean no Windows, which is the OS like 99% of all computer use, for gaming or otherwise, not to mention all the other MS software, from development software, to system admin, to server software, and even games. Even before Xbox, when Sony released the first PS, MS was already making games and software to play them on.
Gaming would be better w...
@golding89
"lol wow maria.. your hatred for microsoft is extremely strong huh? lol"
Her hatred is just as strong as her bias, which is why her credibility is questionable. It would be one thing if she maintained an overall neutral/objective stance, and pointed out both good and bad points on both sides of the debate, or at least used only indisputable facts to fuel her arguments against MS, but she doesn't. She posts everything from opinions, co...
You're expecting too much... If grown adults can't get along with difference in religion and politics, or even something as trivial as sports teams, what are you expecting from a game console debate?
The xbox controller alone is why the X1 is the best choice for me. The many relationships I've made and want to maintain over XBL, is something else PS4 cannot deliver.
Somehow you managed to make the ridiculously inaccurate and ignorant comparison of Microsoft to Nazi's, while also gaining over 150 agrees in the process. This alone is evidence of the grossly over-exaggerated hatred of MS and the extreme level of bias that plagues this website.
If you truly think MS is even remotely comparable to the Nazi regime, I suggest you brush up on your history.
@punisher99
"Name 5 things the xbox1 can do that the ps4 cant."
Challenge accepted:
1. Can work with the Kinect
2. Will use XBL for online gaming
3. Has access to Azure
4. Can work with SmartGlass
5. Will play the next Halo game
Of that list, the only game I'm remotely interested in is X-COM.
Well, the higher price point, and even bad press, of the X1 does seem to have it's advantage - look at all the newly-converted Sony fans and MS hatemongers that avoided buying it as a result. It's working like a matchmaking system - filtering out the undesirables to make the xbox community a more enjoyable place.
lol, I was gonna bring up that "3-1 sony" comparison - I was thinking the same thing.
"Much deserved hate?" Really?! I think they hit their "much deserved" level like a dozen articles ago. Going by the mentality of this site, I think Hitler has received less hate...

From the article:
"Everything is apparently in place to make an amazing multiplayer game, but that’s just it — a multiplayer game. Despite having a narrative woven into the gameplay through character chatter and non-player character interaction that all Titanfall will ever be; a series of multiplayer matches with a semblance of plot threaded into them to give the illusion of progression when, in the end, you are just running and gunning in and out of a giant metal suit w...
The players themselves need to take responsibility for their actions and behave like civil human beings. Unfortunately, the testosterone-ridden, sausage fest that is COD, mixed with the anonymity of the internet, tends to bring in less than desirable players... Factor in the game mechanics of COD itself - how it really isn't a skill based game at all, and you have a perfect formula for douche-a-rama...

And the dick waiving console war continues...
Didn't you hear, folks?! because the PS4 has more powerful hardware and according to a survey, will likely outsell Xbox one, it automatically qualifies as the best console! This is fact, because I heard it on the internet...
Does it really matter which console sells more? Do more sales = more fun? All these "PS4/xbox sells out of pre-orders" and similar stories, don't really contribute to the gam...
@Larry L
I wasn't talking about the skins or appearance of the weapons, I was talking about the way they handled, like recoil and spread, which s why I said "weapon and shooting mechanics." I was referring to both the weapon mechanics (recoil, ironsights, etc.) and the shooting mechanics (accuracy, bullet spread, etc.) They are clearly different from BF2.
I bought xcom for PC. It was a game I was anticipating. I rented it for xbox to try it on console and found it virtually unplayable due to the cumbersome, clunky ui and controls compared to that of the PC version.
Unlike you, I know what I like and know what I don't, so the scenario where a game is offered that I may have never considered playing becomes available for download and winds up being awesome, is also not likely. Ex - I recently downloaded AC2 from games for g...
@Maria
Yet again, you use misdirection and half-truths to fuel your argument, in the guise of simply "stating the truth."
"Ryse- was a 360 game
DR3- was a 360 game
Project Spark- was a 360 game"
- What is your point here? I'm assuming in mentioning this in such a black and white manner, it is to confuse readers to think that since the games were planned as 360 games, that they will look and play like 360 games on the X1...
