But how will you know if they are being bias or giving their actual, honest opinions, especially in the console market, where any person who prefers one over the other, especially if it goes against popular opinion, is labeled a fanboy and discredited?
The gaming community really has a cult mentality. Right now, it seems to be centered around Sony/PS4, where those who prefer xbox, are idiots and morons, while those who prefer PS4 get high fives and get to hang with the cool ...
It's a popularity vote, where the majority of the participants likely haven't had exposure to both platforms. Hell, I'm sure some of them haven't had exposure to either one...
Regardless who won this poll, the results do not serve as evidence to which platform is actually "better." It's an un-winnable discussion with no definitive answer.
Think of it in terms of religion. Look at all the people that believe in god(s) vs those tha...
I would rather it be a completely new IP, with the open world aspect of their previous titles. Perhaps a game where magic meets technology, like mages with guns, set in a steampunk universe - like Arcanum did.
Would also like to see a full blown futurist game, like Bethesda's take on Mass Effect.
I don't think it's an issue of Titanfall not being able to do this without the cloud, and more about it being able to it better with the cloud and/or a situation of it's there, why not use it? It's like if you're going a trip. You could walk or bike and it's not a huge deal, but if your friend drives by and offers you a ride, why not take it? Not only will you get to where you're going, but you'll get their faster and with less effort.

/facepalm...
when are you people like you going to get it through your heads that the devs tried high player counts and it didn't work out the best for gameplay. Also, the AI are not acting as teammates/bots. Bigger isn't always better...
And putting "NEVER" in caps, doesn't make your statement a fact... It's an opinion. Many people enjoy bot matches, especially with friends. That being said, bot mat...

"I will also add it's a shame all this cloud technology could not add more than 6v6 real players instead "To Have All This AI".
- The 6v6 aspect of the game was a deliberate design choice. They tested numerous player amounts and found 6v6 worked best for what they are trying to accomplish and the experience they are trying to deliver to players. It has nothing to do with the cloud or hardware limitations.

You do realize what the subscription fee helps pay for, right? It's helping to pay for the maintenance. There's gonna be a full-time team dedicated to the game. Working out bugs and server issues. MMO's are notorious for releasing numerous and lengthy patches that address a number of issues, SP games like TES, not so much.
Subscription models are a double-edges sword:
One one side, it helps to weed out the undesirables o...

It's sad how so many people can't understand the concept of deliberate design choices. Just because many MP games support high player counts, doesn't mean they have to - this isn't a golden rule. Honestly, high player matches are really only for pub matches, since competitive matches, are always played with small teams, so the "harcdore" gamers or those wanting a more skill...
I remember someone bought my wife Smash Bros. for her Wii on her birthday. Everyone was raving about it, so my wife asked for it. We all played it for like 30 mins. and never touched it since. I never saw the appeal in that game.
I love how the term "casual" is getting thrown around in such a derogatory manner, even to the point where effort is made to dissociate it from the term "gamer," as if the 2 cannot coexist. Seems that the "C word" is the bane of the community, and catering to them will destroy gaming culture as we know it... Apparently, only those who read up on gaming news and/or spend 30+ hrs. a week playing games, are worthy to be called "gamers," and receive any sor...
I don't doubt that Astro makes excellent headsets, but even high-end gaming headsets, tend to be designed around gaming (duh) and lacking in other fields, like movies and music. I wanted a headset that was good for everything, which is why I opted for PC360.
The headset is essentially a pair of Sennheiser headphones, not a modified "gaming" variant, with a mic attached, and Sennheiser dealt with microphones before getting into headphones, so it is good quality a...

How is a MP only game a "hard sell," yet a SP only game is not? A MP game likely has a much higher replay value, due to everything being in real-time and having no definitive end to the game. It's funny how so many claim a MP only Titanfall is not worth $60, yet adding in a SP campaign, which would likely not be a proper/lengthy campaign, suddenly justifies a $60 price tag, even though they will never/rarely touch the MP, whi...
We'll, Beamdog made those Baldur's Gate remakes, and although they aren't new games, they do add a lot to the old games, so maybe they will continue with other Infinity Engine games.
Kickstarter is a godsend for PC. It's a great way for developers to say "FU" to publishers and go directly to the gamers to help them make the games they want to make. I bought Shadowrun Returns on Steam, and I'm anticipating the expansion, supposedly due out this mo...
Bombshell of the decade: Fallout 4 is announced as a turn-based strategy game, returning to the franchises roots. Fans of the Fallout series rejoice, while players who never even heard of Fallout before Fallout 3, rage uncontrollably.
"I have never taken Kinect out of the box, not even to try,.."
- If you haven't even tried it, how can you begin to comment on how bad it is?
"DRM - If you say that everything is changed or removed now, but it's too late. I have friends who still don't know that, they remember this day very well, what they saw at E3..."
- that just illustrates how ignorant or uniformed your friends are. Yeah, MS really dropped ...
Reminds me of a modernized CRPG. Like the Baldurs Gate mod I always wanted.
Player counts and online communities has to do with games. You can't contribute to player count, if don't own/play that particular game, regardless what system you own.
But honesty, if you think people are watching the sales thinking "boy, I'm glad my system is selling well. I was worried my 3rd party support and online communities were going to be jeopardized," then we have very different views on why gamers put so much into these numbers.
Really? This is your reason for not trusting in reviews? As if every review must have an ulterior motive or somehow not be genuine?
I don't care for reviews on the simple basis that someone else's opinion on a product means s*** to me. The only person's opinion I care about in terms of reviews is my own, since I'm the one who knows what I like and what I don't, not reviewers.
