And the 360 had....Call of Duty 2? What's your point?

I don't know why they put the Dreamcast on that list. The time around the Dreamcast's launch was (arguably) the best time. Sales were high. The media had a positive outlook for the system. People even thought it might beat the PS2.

I don't know why grinding is hated. If grinding in an RPG is boring, it's because the combat is boring. It's that simple.

Grinding in of itself is fine. I loved "grinding" in games like Disgaea, Valkyria Chronicles, and Mario&Luigi:SSS.

Sadly, only a handful of interesting games on that list. BlazBlue is probably my most anticipated game for summer.

Digital Downloads have a long way to go before they move from being "the future" to "the present", especially for console and handheld gamers. It is convenient in some situations, but for most gamers (including myself) a hard copy of the game is a must.

It's interesting to see Sony leading the charge for full downloadable games on their PSN service when they have been the least vocal about how "digital downloads are teh future!!!"

Prediction:

At E3, Duke Nukem Forever is announced as a timed 360 exclusive, coming Q3-Q4 2010. The media goes crazy and acts as if this is a death blow to the PS3.

Meanwhile, the Sony announces half a dozen new exclusives and the media doesn't even bat an eye.

Mark my words. It's pretty much what happened at the last E3.

Wow. I played a Japanese demo of this game a whole year ago. It was actually pretty fun, and the super-pixelated graphics were cool.

Well, 360 owners brag about how much better their online games are. Maybe PS3 owners want to have a basic multiplayer experience (something that's offered for free on the PS3, Wii, DS, PC, and PSP) without paying a monthly fee.

Looks really good. Can't wait to play it on my PS3.

Yep. VC is probably the best and most innovative RPG on consoles so far this gen. It's funny how some fanboys will argue so vehemently about review scores and Metacritic scores then all of a sudden when it comes to RPGs this gen they seem to forget about scores and how VC is the highest-scoring JRPG this gen by a wide margin.

They also forget that the PS3 has Oblivion and Fallout 3, two of the biggest multiplatform WRPGs this gen. On top of that, they forget that the PS3 has Eter...

Sony made a decision that benefits gamers. It's that simple.

They made a system with built-to-last hardware and they invested into development teams (long-term investment) instead of throwing money at timed exclusives and DLC (short-term investment). Take one quick look at the game lineup for 2009 and 2010 and it's pretty easy to see that Sony's plan has gamers in mind.

I'm not going to say what SHOULD and SHOULDN'T be free or even what people should and shouldn't pay for.

I only wonder why people would pay for an online service when you can get 90% of its features for free elsewhere. I especially wonder why people would pay for an online service that is a peer-to-peer network with lag issues. I mean, I can understand the excuse to pay for a WoW account because that pays for server stability, new content, etc., but...I don't know. It's like havi...

Squarenixidos is the new EA or Nintendo of JRPGs.

In other words, they know they have your childhood memories by the balls, so they'll continue to whore out their franchises and sell out to the highest bidder like there's no tomorrow without actually innovating or improving.

Why would inFamous and Prototype fanboys fight? Anyone with access to inFamous will also be able to play Prototype. The only people acting like Prototype fanboys will be the people with access to only Prototype on their console.

The days of hardware sales being so important are slowly fading away....as the PS3 catches up with the 360. Now it's all about sales of multiplatform games (but even THAT has its exceptions, since many games like RE5 and SF4 sold more on PS3, just to use a recent example).

But that's the way it goes. Fanboys set some unrealistic standard that the PS3 must meet to "not suck", and then the PS3 meets it. Suddenly no one talks about that old standard. They just make up a ne...

Couldn't they just add a web browser so that I can look up my own reviews using one of the dozens of online review websites? Especially since I can pick a website whose opinion I trust.

Wow. That looks pretty sweet. This, plus inFamous, should make any open-world fan happy for the next couple of months.

Dan Hsu should not be interviewed, nor given attention. He contributes nothing to the game industry except fanboyish nonsense. Read his crowning achievement here:
